2 Welcome Pat Costello Chief Executive Chartered Accountants Ireland. I m delighted to welcome you to Chartered Accountants House. With its city centre location, impressive capacity and cutting edge technology, I believe that it will quickly become the location of choice for all conferences, training away days and seminars in Dublin. The creation of a centre of excellence for our members and students was our number one priority when designing our new training centre and headquarters. In choosing the specifications for the new building, we looked beyond these shores and followed as our model the most exciting and innovative training facilities worldwide. This guided much of the decisions on facilities, services, office design and fit-out. We have achieved a building which recognises the values that we embrace as an organisation, especially our focus on creating an environment of excellence for our members, students and staff. The best way to appreciate the excellent facilities available here is to see them in person, and I would encourage anyone involved in booking conferences, seminars or meeting rooms to arrange a visit. 3 A Space Designed for Inspiration Chartered Accountants Ireland is the largest and the oldest accountancy body in Ireland, and with 24,000 members and students it is the leading voice for the accountancy profession in Ireland. Chartered Accountants Ireland has moved to its new, purpose built Training Centre and Headquarters at Pearse St, Dublin and is pleased to make these facilities available for hire to the wider business community. The vision for Chartered Accountants House was that of a Centre of Excellence that would reflect the gravitas and values of the organisation. Filled with light and character, the building itself inspires confidence and a sense of elevation, inkeeping with the profession s exacting standards of excellence. Cutting-edge architecture is combined with a focus on bright open spaces to inspire blue-sky thinking. All conference and meeting rooms are equipped with the latest technology and A/V facilities. Its sheer size and versatility means it can accommodate anything from small groups up to 1,300 people. A truly successful conference or meeting happens when a person leaves excited, invigorated and positive. This is our aim for every conference at Chartered Accountants House. At Pearse St., we are beside the junction with Westland Row and Trinity College, opposite Pearse St Railway and DART station and in walking distance of both LUAS lines. While no parking is available in Chartered Accountants House, metered car parking is available on street or at several nearby multi-storey car parks. Ample hotel accommodation is available in the vicinity, as well as numerous dining and shopping options for your guests or delegates. 2

4 Conferencing Solutions In planning a conference, you will select a venue to impress your delegates and enhance the learning experience. Chartered Accountants House was designed with this requirement in mind. Four tiered lecture halls can be used individually or opened out into a single unit that can accommodate 600 people. Separately, two other floors of seminar rooms are available to hire, with cutting edge facilities, that can accommodate another 700 delegates. The space can be re-configured in a variety of arrangements, lending it to a range of purposes. Our lecture theatres are all equipped with state of the art technology so that events can be streamed live to participants outside the building. Web streaming technology allows events and presentations to be delivered straight to desktops via the internet, so that conference organisers can now communicate with a much wider audience, and every second seat has a power source for laptops or chargers. A dedicated business centre offers faxing and photocopying services, newspapers, wireless connectivity, secretarial services and advanced audio - and videoconferencing facilities. The space can be re-configured in a variety of arrangements, lending it to a range of purposes. 3

6 Flexible Spaces The wide selection that comprises our 25 separate meeting and training rooms mean that no matter what your capacity or technical requirements, we have an ideal space for you. Approximately 60% of the floor space in Chartered Accountants House is dedicated to lecture, tutorial and training facilities. In designing the facility, one of the key requirements established was that the space take a modular, flexible form, and we re pleased with the results. The number and size of our seminar and meeting rooms allow them to be re-configured in a variety of arrangements and will lend themselves to a range of purposes. Each room boasts a high-specification of equipment, but for every room we offer, comfort and natural light are emphasised. No matter what your capacity or technical requirements, we have an ideal space for you. 5

8 Dining We have a number of seminar and meeting rooms that are ideal for private dining groups, buffets and corporate receptions. We also have in-house caterers who offer fine dining menus. Please contact the Conferencing Team at conferencing@charteredaccountants.ie to discuss any specific catering or beverage requirements. Our in-house restaurant, the Luca Pacioli Restaurant is situated on the reception floor and may be used by any delegate, guest, student or member. Chartered Accountants Ireland requires any outside caterers to be approved in advance with notification of the booking requirements. 7
