2 Welcome The Core at Corby Cube offers a unique alternative within the area to conference centres and hotels comprising of a main house auditorium, a studio space, flexible meeting spaces, coffee shop and bar. It is housed within the iconic Corby Cube. The Core is committed to the local area and presents a varied programme with the community at the heart of what we do. With state of the art projection facilities and the welcoming atmosphere, The Core is perfect for any event whether it is a meeting for four or a conference for 400. Whether you are looking for a venue to host a formal business meeting or conference, a training day or prize giving, we can offer a variety of spaces and set ups to suit. Our in house staff will ensure that your event runs smoothly from the initial enquiry through to the event on the day. Our team of experienced technicians will be able to work with you from an early stage to plan the technical and staging requirements of your event. By working with you we will be able to tailor your event to suit your needs and budget. The Core can offer: State of the art projection facilities Rooms to suit 2 to 400 delegates Easily accessible by train hourly train services run from Corby train station to London St Pancras via Kettering and Wellingborough Easily accessible by road Excellent technical facilities Professional technicians Air conditioning in Auditorium and Lab Purpose built modern facility with traditional settings Dedicated event managers Registration and cloakroom facilities High quality catering to suit all budgets Free Wifi Our meeting rooms are available for hire from 9am-6pm Monday to Saturday. If you would like to gain access to the building before 9am a charge of 10 will be made for each additional hour prior to 9am. The hire fee is based on an 8 hour day. All spaces are available for weekend and evening hire. Please contact us for a bespoke pakage. Accessibility The Theatre and Lab provide total accessibility for those with disabilities. There are lifts and adapted toilet facilities. The Theatre and Lab also have an infra red Sennheiser system which is available for delegates with hearing difficulties. 3 Theatre Our Theatre can seat up to 400 people and is ideal for conferences, large company meetings, product launches and training sessions. The theatre is steeply raked providing a good view of the stage. Our experienced technicians are able to work with you to design and plan the staging of your event. You will have one dedicated technician working with you throughout your event to ensure that it runs smoothly. Please ask us for a quote dependant on your needs. We can also support your events with additional facilities including check-in desks and cloakroom. Capacity 400 theatre style (other layouts available) Room Hire costs (excl VAT) Half day: 375 Full day: 750 Facilities included in these costs Stage set-up as required including lighting and sound Microphones/PA system Projection screen (various sizes available) WiFi Internet Access Dedicated technician for duration of event Infrared hearing system Extra facilities which carry additional costs Projector - 80 Radio mics (lapel) - poa Flipchart and pens/paper - 10 Use of in house lap top (for use with data projector) - 20 Different room set ups (POA) Prices are exclusive of vat (currently 20%) Cinema and Private Sceenings The Theatre also houses our cinema which is available for private screenings. 4 Lab Our studio space is the most flexible of our rooms and can be used for conferences, meetings, rehearsals and performances. It has both sound and lighting equipment, air conditioning and a sprung dance floor. The room can be completely blacked out from daylight. Full technical information is available on request. 6 Catering and Refreshments We are able to provide good quality, locally sourced catering throughout the day. Buffet lunches can be delivered to your meeting room or we can provide a private space for you.
