The German geophysical and resource institute Bundesanstalt für Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe (BGR) showcases its helicopter for scientific research along with the first detailed soil atlas for Germany which is published in time to celebrate the International Soil Year Furthermore, the gold medallist of the Argentinian Expoagro show will introduce the NIR-Crop Analyser. 6 Future Farming Special and Forum at Systems & Components, Hall 16, Stand C43 Future Farming is the title chosen for this year s unique, cross-sector special exhibition for mobile applications. It is here where suppliers from 41 countries will be charting the course for the agricultural machinery of tomorrow. The fascinating display of advanced and innovative products is tailored to different audiences. This is the place where international trade visitors from the scientific community, from R&D and procurement meet international journalists, dealers, farmers and contractors. This year again the System & Components Lounge will be the hub where visitors find the highlights in this field, a place to discuss views and to network or just relax in an elegant atmosphere. Future Farming: a practical and customer-oriented demonstration including a 3D printer as an absolute technological highlight. Four Pathways lead the visitors from the Special Show to the topics listed above through the Systems & Components halls 15, 16 and 17, where exhibitors showcase selected products that give an overview of the entire sector. In addition to the classic forum format, the Forum programme now includes Technology Talks delivered by exhibitors, professional associations and academics, who present pioneering ideas and visions on the burning issues of our time. Forum Technology & Management Hall 8, Stand A 05 Special Show, Pathways, Forum The top trends of efficiency, reliability, safety/ergonomics and environmental protection form the central theme of the three-part specialist programme that goes by the title of Systems & Components: The Special Show in the S&C Lounge in Hall 16 simulates a networking scenario between farmer, supplier and manufacturer. Excellent ideas, the latest technologies and the most efficient procedures and systems are presented by the AGRITECHNICA Technical Programme. 7 Forestry and Wood Info Centre Halle 26, Stand B05 + Open-Air Area Forestry and Wood Info Centre, (Hall 26, Stand B05) Equipment, work safety and advice on forestry work Innovations and trends in forestry equipment are presented along with demonstrations and advice at the Forestry Info Centre. Open-Air event area 1 (Stand B02) Cutting and removing trees under tension Demonstration of correct cutting techniques when felling trees under tension using a tree bending simulator. Open-Air event areas 2 and 3 (Stand A04) Efficient firewood preparation Demonstration of various firewood processing chains from splitting to packaging. Wood is a high-value raw material that is in greater demand than ever before. But what is the safest way to harvest it, the most economical way to process it, and the best way to market it? How should a forest be managed so that it can develop sustainably, meet society s demands and still be available as a source of income for future generations? Spotlight on work safety In the open-air area, experts will be demonstrating the safest way to cut trees under tension using a tree bending simulator. In Hall 26, the Rottenburg University of Applied Sciences will be demonstrating how cut-resistant clothing works and highlighting quality differences using its cut protection test bench and a high-speed camera. Comparing firewood supply chains Which is the most economical way of processing harvested timber to firewood and of packaging the timber for transport and sales? Various timber processing chains will be presented in the open-air area four times a day. Field test: ergonomic forestry tools Which are the best tools for which process in the timber harvesting work chain and how to use them? High limbing can be a worthwhile investment that enhances the value of the wood in your forest. But how is it done and what tools do you need? These and other questions are answered by seasoned forestry engineers who give demonstrations at the Forestry Info Centre in Hall 26. Information point for forest owners Issues such as forestry farming, safe working practices, technical and financial support, equipment or marketing are addressed at the DLG Forestry and Wood Info Centre, where you can talk to DLG forestry experts, members of the German AGDW society of woodland owners and academics at the Rottenburg University of Applied Sciences. Answers to these critical questions are presented by the DLG Forestry Info Centre in Hall 26 as well as in demonstrations at the open-air area under the Expo canopy

Techniques for repairing engines, electrical equipment, electronic and pneumatic systems as well as hydraulics and mechanics. Laptop and spanner are the daily tools in this job. There is a service demonstration at every full hour. 9 International events at the Convention Center (CC) 73rd International Conference LAND.TECHNIK AgEng2015: Innovations in agricultural engineering for efficient farming (VDI, MEG, EurAgEng) Friday and Saturday, 6 and 7 Nov, registration required Ag Machinery International Access to emerging markets This year, too, the conference directs the spotlight onto major agricultural markets, dedicating three events to selected countries and the use of agricultural machinery there. A first-time event is a conference on the component markets in BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China). Each conference offers market reports, best practice reports from companies and farmers from these countries. Each conference is concluded by an informal get-together which offers the opportunity to tap into the culture of the individual country and to network. 10 &Career Campus AGRITECHNICA Plaza The new point of contact to seek advice on careers, scientific research and the DLG network Campus & Career For the first time, the DLG dedicates a special show space to the topic of careers in the agricultural industry: Campus & Career (P33/P35). As well as personnel recruitment stalls and a campus for higher education matters, there will be exhibitors offering advice on careers, photo shoots for application purposes and a job wall. At the P33 Forum, there will be talks on professional careers as well as topics from scientific research from 10:00 to 17:00 h. For further information, see Young Farmers Day in Pavilion 33, on Thursday, 12 Nov The Young Farmers Day offers opportunities to discuss matters pertaining to career and payment and B share experience. The day will be concluded by a large panel discussion with international guests on the panel, which will be held from 18:00 to 20:00 h at the CC. At 20:00 h the floor is open to the by now legendary Young Farmers Party at TUI Arena, EXPO Plaza 7 (not open to minors under 18, admission ticket required). A C Tractor tests, new DLG seal, soil management and networking Historic and modern tractors and DLG s more than 100-year long testing tradition are the focus at the Plaza. Demonstrations of the DLG PowerMix test and of tractor fitted camera systems give insights on what tractor buyers should watch out for when buying a new tractor. The PowerMix app provides users with DLG test data which they can use to compare current tractor models and hence make a good purchase decision. 11 Tips and information for planning your visit Arriving by plane or train: There are both scheduled and charter flights to Hanover from Germany and abroad. An exclusive AGRITECHNICA shuttle bus service will be available for the duration of the trade fair. From the central station, it is only 20 minutes to the exhibition site by local metro (Lines 8 and 18). Certain long-distance and regional trains stop at the station serving the exhibition site. Alight at Hannover Messe/ Laatzen. Check our website for information from our transport partners about special trains to AGRITECHNICA. Arriving by car: You can reach the exhibition site via the A2 and A7 motorways, and then via the A37 and the Messeschnellweg dual carriageway (B3/B6).
