No. Unfortunately, it does not. You may not use your admission ticket to the fair to use public transportation in Munich on the day that you attend the fair. You can check your coat or luggage in all entrances to the Messe München trade-fair center for a fee of EUR 2.00 per item. Is photography permitted at the trade-fair center? Photography at the trade-fair center is only permitted if authorized in advance by Messe München. Can I use WiFi at the trade-fair center? Messe München International offers free wireless Internet access (WiFi) at the trade-fair center. It can only be used in the vicinity of the halls and the Atrium. 3 Additional information about WiFi at the trade-fair center May dogs be brought to BAU 2017? The trade-fair center does not have sufficient outdoor space for walking dogs, so unfortunately, dogs are not permitted. Guide dogs for the blind and other assistance dogs are permitted. Is Messe München handicap accessible? Messe München was developed and built to be barrier free from the beginning. Contact us by telephone or ahead of time to get information about special admission fees and parking alternatives because they can vary, depending on the event. Wheelchairs are available for rent in the entrances. We recommend contacting Veranstaltungsdienst Paul Mayr GmbH & Co.KG by telephone to make a reservation. Generally speaking, citizens and/or visitors from the EU do not need a visa to enter the Federal Republic of Germany. All other participants are generally required to get a visa. Your admission ticket does not replace a visa invitation letter. Detailed information about applying for a visa is available on our visa page. 4 How much do tickets cost? Information about admission prices will be available here as of the spring of Are tickets available for purchase without having to go online? Discount tickets are only available at the fair and cannot be ordered in advance. They are only available upon presentation of appropriate documentation. Group tickets are not available for purchase online either. However, it is possible to order group tickets in advance. To inquire about group tickets, please contact us at or by telephone at Can I purchase online tickets for other people or redeem vouchers for other people? No. Due to data protection regulations, all visitors/people must purchase their own ticket or redeem their own voucher for a ticket themselves. How will I get my online ticket? Once you have successfully placed your ticket order, you will receive an that contains you personal Print@home Ticket as a PDF enclosure. Please print out your ticket, fold it as instructed, and bring it with you to the fair. Your ticket gives you direct access to the fair. It is not necessary to exchange it at the fair. When will I receive my online ticket? Once you have completed your order, the ticket that you ordered will be sent to you by as a PDF enclosure within 24 hours. This ticket is your admission ticket. It allows you to pass through the turnstiles and go directly into the exhibition halls. What should I do if I forget to bring my printed online ticket with me? Please contact a member of the Registration Management Team. They can print out another copy of tickets that are saved in the system. What should I do if I do not receive an with an online ticket? In rare cases, s may end up in the spam filter of your mailbox. Please check your spam folder or contact your administrator. You may have made a mistake when you entered your address with your other customer data. In this case, please contact the BAU ticket service: ticketservice@messe-muenchen.de Is my ticket transferrable? No. Tickets are personalized (e.g. with you name) are not generally transferable. 5 Multiple-day tickets can only be used by one person. Important: Because tickets are for specific individuals and are not transferrable, you may be asked to present an official photo ID when entering the fair. Each barcode on the ticket is unique and impossible for the system to confuse. If a barcode has already triggered the turnstiles to open, admission will be refused to anyone who uses a copy of the ticket tries to reuse the original ticket to gain access to the fair. If you lose your ticket and are afraid that whoever finds it might use it to attend the fair, please contact us by at registrierung@messemunechen.de so that we can block your lost ticket. Can I use my smartphone or tablet to present my ticket to gain admission to the fair? No. The readers at the turnstiles do not recognize barcodes on displays. Barcodes are only readable if the online ticket is printed on paper. What methods of payment are available when purchasing online tickets? Tickets at the lower online price may only be purchased online and paid for using a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) or Giropay. What methods of payment are available when purchasing tickets at the fair? You may purchase tickets at the trade fair using generally accepted credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), your EC card or cash. If you pay in cash, only euros are accepted. Why do I have to answer a questionnaire when I purchase a ticket online? We do everything we can to organize and further develop BAU in keeping with your wishes and interests. The answers that you provide during registration help use ensure that BAU always meets your needs. What happens to the information that I provide? Naturally, your information will be treated as confidential and will not be forwarded to third parties without your consent. If an exhibitor invited you to the fair using a printed or online voucher, that exhibitor will receive your information when you redeem your ticket. 6 1. Questions about your exhibit In which exhibition sectors at BAU may I exhibit? To participate in BAU as a main or co-exhibitor, you must be eligible to be admitted to one of the fair's exhibition sectors. An overview of participation fees such as rental fees for stand space, AUMA fees and more is available here. How can I apply for BAU 2017, and is there a application deadline? To participate in BAU 2017, you must complete an application form. Based on the information that you provide on your form, we will see if your company is eligible to be admitted to the fair as an exhibitor. There is no official application deadline. However, we recommend that you send us your application before we begin assigning stand place in September 2015 so that we can take your location requests into account during the first round of assigning space. Exhibitor application Dates and deadlines for exhibitors When do you begin assigning stand space, and when will I receive my stand proposal (stand location and stand number)? We begin allocating stand space in September If we are able to accommodate you, you will probably receive your stand proposal for BAU 2017 in March What exactly have we ordered by registering for the fair? Your application refers to stand space. It automatically includes your communication fee (mandatory entry in the exhibitor directory online and in the catalog), the AUMA (Association of the German Trade Fair Industry) fee and the fee for waste disposal at the trade-fair center during the fair. Your application also includes a down payment for services. Each exhibitor receives a contingent of exhibitor passes, the number of which depends on the size of their stand. 7 Shop. We will inform you automatically as soon as the Exhibitor Shop is available. Is application binding? Until you confirm your stand proposal, your application for BAU 2017 is nonbinding. In other words, you can cancel your application until then without incurring any costs. However, we need you to complete the application form in advance so that we can process your information and assign you stand space. Can co-exhibitors exhibit at our exhibition stand? And if so, how do they apply? Exhibitors can apply co-exhibitors to exhibit at their stand as long as they are eligible to participate based on the product index. The necessary application form for co-exhibitors must be completed and signed by the main exhibitor. Application co-exhibitors is free of charge. The main exhibitor will only be invoiced for the mandatory communication fee of EUR 425. The mandatory communication fee allows co-exhibitors to enjoy the same benefits as main exhibitors. In other words, they are listed as an independent company in the exhibition catalog, in the online exhibitor directory and in the BAU app. What participation fees should I expected as a co-exhibitor? The application fee for co-exhibitors is EUR 425, and it already includes the mandatory communication fee. The main exhibitor is invoiced for this fee. How many exhibitor passes do exhibitors receive? For the duration of the fair, each exhibitor receives a certain number of free exhibitor passes for their stand. Up to 20 m² stand space: 3 exhibitor passes As of 21 m², each additional 10 m² or portion thereof: 1 additional exhibitor pass Additional exhibitor passes may be ordered for a fee. Exhibitor passes are only intended for stand personnel and may not be passed on to third parties. We reserve the right to confiscate exhibitor passes if they are misused. Including co-exhibitors at your stand does not increase the number of exhibitor passes. Do co-exhibitors get free exhibitor passes? 8 Co-exhibitors do not receive any free exhibitor passes. Exhibitor passes can be ordered at the BAU Exhibitor Shop as of mid-may What happens if I want to cancel my participation? Apart from its statutory rights to withdraw from the exhibition, the exhibitor has no right to withdraw from its contact with Messe München. If the exhibitor withdraws from the exhibition, Messe München GmbH is entitled to otherwise dispose of the rented space regardless of whether the exhibitor concerned has a right to cancel. If an exhibitor cancels its participation without being entitled to do so and, as such, defaults on fulfilling the rental agreement without good reason, it shall pay Messe München GmbH the participation fee if the stand space is left empty during the event and if Messe München GmbH is able to re-let the exhibition space in question to the best of its ability. Is there a list of all dates and deadlines? A list of all Dates and deadlines for BAU 2017 is available here. What is the mandatory communication fee? All exhibitors are required to pay a mandatory communication fee of EUR 425. It includes a basic entry in the catalog (print, online and mobile), one copy of the printed exhibition catalog (available at the fair), 1,000 stickers (available by order), an electronic press compartment and other communication services as described in Section B 12 Media Services (catalog, Internet, app). Additional entries in available media may be ordered at the Exhibition Shop for an additional fee. What is the AUMA fee? The Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) charges all exhibitors a fee of EUR 0.60/m² of rented exhibition space. This fee is invoiced by MMG and passed on to AUMA directly. What are the mandatory waste-disposal fees? During BAU 2017, all exhibitors are charged mandatory, fixed-rate wastedisposal fees to cover the cost of disposing of waste that accumulates at their stands during setup and dismantling and for the duration of the fair itself. The fixed-rate waste-disposal fee during setup and dismantling is EUR 4.00 per square meters. The fixed-rate waste-disposal fee during the fair itself is EUR 1.50 per square meters. 9 Waste disposal must comply with the provisions of Para. 6.1 of the Technical Guidelines. What guidelines must we observe during stand construction? The exact guidelines that pertain to stand design during BAU 2017 can be found in the Special Terms of Participation B under Section B 8 Stand design and equipment. In addition to the guidelines listed there, the provisions of the Technical Guidelines and the information in the various exhibitor leaflets are also applicable. If you have difficulty understanding any of the guidelines, please feel free to contact the Technical Exhibitor Services Team by phone or in person at any time. Contact information is available in under Contacts. How can I have packages delivered to exhibitors in the exhibition halls? The delivery address during the exhibition is: BAU 2017 Company Hall/Stand Am Messesee München Germany Please keep in mind that this address is only applicable during the exhibition itself. Deliveries may only be made by a parcel service or courier. Unfortunately, this address cannot be used to send letters by regular mail. Please be sure that the contact person/recipient indicated on the package is available at the stand. A deposit may be required for private courier services. For deliveries prior to the trade fair, please contact our service partners Schenker or Kühne und Nagel. Please keep in mind that letters cannot be sent to the exhibition halls. Only packages or registered mail can be delivered there. However, it is essential that an employee who is authorized to accept delivery is available at your stand. Employees of Messe München International cannot accept packages from exhibitors. The driver must pay a deposit of EUR 100 in cash for a stay of up to one hour. 2. Questions about fair-related advertising How can I invite my customers to the fair? The online voucher for a 1-day ticket is a quick and affordable way to invite your customers to your stand. You can conveniently send your customers a personal voucher number by or print the number in a letter sent by regular mail. After the fair is over, you will only be charged for vouchers that are actually redeemed. What is a (online) voucher for a 1-day ticket? How many does each exhibitor receive? A (online) voucher for a 1-day ticket is an admission voucher that is free of charge to your customers that you can order online at the Exhibition Shop. Vouchers can be used as part of your professional invitation and contact management. They are an effective incentive for your customers to visit your stand at the fair. In your final invoice, you will only be charged for vouchers that are actually used. What official directories are there for BAU? The following fair-related directories (printed, online, mobile) are available for BAU: printed exhibition catalog, printed visitor flyers, Visitor Guide I and II, and the BAU app. What does the mandatory communication fee include? 11 How can I have my company's entry appear in the exhibition directories? Exhibitors can use their access codes to sign in to the Messe München International Exhibitor Shop and release their company entry for the official directories for BAU If your company entry contains errors, you can also go there to make any necessary changes before releasing your entry. May I use an invoice address that differs from our company address? Unfortunately, due to laws governing value-added tax, MMG is not able to issue or rewrite invoices for services that MMG has rendered or shall render to the exhibitor as its contractual partner to an invoice recipient other than the exhibitor.
