2 Descriptin The MSN Stck Qutes Web Part uses the public MSN Mney Central Stck Qute Web Service t display selected stck qute infrmatin. The data are delayed by 20 minutes and prvided by MSN Mney Central. The Web Part can be used bth with Windws Sharepint Services V3 and MOSS. Prerequisites Befre yu attempt t install the slutins yu need t make sure that yu have the fllwing installed n yur server(s): Windws SharePint Services 3.0, Micrsft Office SharePint Server 2007 and Sharepint 2010 Installatin Manual Installatin 1. dwnlad and unpack the StckQutesWebpart.zip file. The ZIP archive cntains the StckQutesWebpart.dll and the StckQutes.webpart files. 2. drp the DLL int the GAC f yur Sharepint server (c:\windws\assembly). 3. add the fllwing line t the "<SafeCntrls>" sectin f yur Web.Cnfig file. Please make sure that the line is added as ne single line (n line breaks): <SafeCntrl Assembly="StckQutesWebpart, Versin= , Culture=neutral, PublicKeyTken=1c6a99f04bbc7b8a" Namespace="StckQutesWebpart" TypeName="*" Safe="True" /> 4. frm the tp site g t "Site Actins/Site Settings/Mdify All Site Settings/Galleries/Web Parts" 5. use the "Uplad" menu ptin t uplad the StckQutes.webpart file. Autmatic Installatin 1. Unpack the AEStckQutesWebpart.wsp and Install.bat files frm the Zip Archive and place the 2 files nt yur Sharepint Server. 2. Add the Slutin by either running Install.bat r manually entering: stsadm - addslutin -filename AEStckQutesWebpart.wsp 3. Deply the slutin by navigating with yur brwser t Central Administratin->Operatins->Slutin Management :

3 4. Yu shuld nw see the AEStckQutesWebpart.wsp in the farm s slutin stre: Click n AEStckQutesWebpart.wsp t deply the slutin: 5. Prceed t activate the feature by navigating t the Site Actins/Site Settings page in yur tp-level site: Chse Site cllectin features t navigate t the Site Cllectin Features page: Activate the AE MSN Stck Qutes Web Part feature

4 Adding the Web Part t a Page Navigate t a page where yu wuld like t place the web part and chse "Site Actins/Edit Page" 1. Add the web part t the apprpriate zne. The web part is listed in the "Amrein Engineeering" gallery sectin : 2. Cnfigure the fllwing Web Part prperties in the Web Part Editr "Miscellaneus" pane sectin as needed:

5 Stck Symbl(s): enter ne r mre stck symbls, separated by semiclns. If yu enter just ne stck symbl, the "Single Stck Display" applies, therwise the stcks are rendered in Table View. Yu can lk up the available stck symbls n the Yah Finance web site. Yu can als request a stck index as eg. ^FTSE (FTSE 100) ^NYA (NYSE Cmpsite Index) ^DJI (Dw Jnes Industrial Average Index) ^IXIC (NASDAQ Cmpsite Index) ^GSPC (S&P 500 Index) ^RUI (Russell 1000 Index) ^N225 (Nikkei Index) ^HSI (Hang Seng) etc. Lcal Exchange stck qutes usually have a cuntry prefix as eg. GB:EZJ (EasyJet/Lndn Exchange) DE:MUK (Bayerische Gewerbebau AG/Frankfurt Exchange) Stck Detail Fields: add additinal clumns t the list, separated by semiclns. The fllwing clumns are available: - CmpanyName - Change - PercentChange - Currency - Exchange - Last - LastTime - LastSize - Open - Clse - High - Lw - Ask - Bid - EPS - PE - Vlume - SharesOut - Currency - Exchange - Type Shw Table Header: turn n/ff the Stck Table headers: Center Text: center the text in the "Single Stck Display" mde UTC Offset Last Trade: enter the ptinal UTC ffset (in hurs) t crrect the "Last Trade" inf Fter Text: Enter an ptinal Fter text at the bttm f the web part. Shw Stcks as a Ticker: display the stck qutes as a scrlling ticker: Ticker Scrll Delay: sets the Marquee scrll delay in millsecnds (1=fastest, higher values=slwer)

6 Yu can als ptinally specify the marquee scrll amunt in pixels by appending the value (separated by a semicln): Example: 1;3 Ticker Backgrund Clr: Enter the desired backgrund clr f the ticker (Default:white). Use either a hex RGB value (as eg. #FFCC99) r an HTML clr name (as eg. range) Ticker Fnt Style: Enter the ptinal Ticker CSS style if yu want t verride the standard Sharepint fnt settings. Example: 20pt Lucida Sans Yu can ptinally append mre CSS styles as fllws: 20pt Lucida Sans; fnt-weight:bld; clr:red Ticker Delimiter: enter the desired Tcker delimiter character string (Default: "+++") License Key: enter yur Prduct License Key (as supplied after purchase f the Enterprise license). Leave this field empty if yu are using the free evaluatin versin r if yu chse ne f the License Activatin described belw. License Activatin Yu have the fllwing 3 ptins t enter yur License Key: 1. Enter the License Key int the crrespnding License Key field in the web part cnfiguratin pane (See Descriptin abve). 2. WSP Slutin Deplyment: Add the License.txt file (as supplied by AMREIN ENGINEERING after having purchased a license) t the Slutin at the fllwing lcatin: c:\prgram Files\Cmmn Files\Micrsft Shared\Web Server Extensins\12\template\features\ StckQutesWebpart 3. Manual Deplyment: Add the License Key t yur web.cnfig (typically fund at c:\inetpub\wwwrt\wss\virtualdirectries\80) <appsettings> sectin as fllws: <appsettings> <add key="aesq" value="aesq-x-xxxxx-xxxxx-xx-xx" /> </appsettings> Replace the x characters with yur actual key values. Please nte that this methd requires yu t manually add the key t each Sharepint applicatin.
