1 Printer Friendly Information EHC Conference in Belfast 3 rd, 4 th & 5 th October 2014 Introduction The European Haemophilia Consortium (EHC) brings patients and patient organisations together from 44 European countries. Every year on the first weekend in October they run their flagship conference. Fortunately for us in Scotland, this year they are coming to our doorstep by holding the 2014 EHC Conference in Belfast. Gordon Clarke, who some Haemophilia Scotland members will know, has been working hard with the EHC team to put together what will be a excellent event. The Conference Programme includes sessions on Mild & Moderate Haemophilia as well as an update on Hepatitis C & its treatment. Delegates will also be able to hear about the role of Physiotherapy in bleeding disorders and learn about the latest thinking on reproductive and genetic issues. Not to mention visiting Titanic Belfast and enjoying the Gala Dinner. Anyone who followed our reports live from the World Federation of Haemophilia Congress will know how interesting and valuable these international events can be. This is a great chance to attend in person, find out more about bleeding disorders and meet people from all over Europe. A discount rate is available for early registration before July 25th. You can attend the whole event for just 175 ( 145) and someone accompanying you can come along for just 110 ( 90). You can fly from either Glasgow Airport or Edinburgh Airport with Easyjet to Belfast International Airport or with Flybe to the George Best Belfast City Airport. Alternatively, you can take the ferry with StenaLine. There are lots of places to stay and you can reserve you can take advantage of conference rates at the Europa Hotel and Jury s Inn Belfast when you register. There are other option is the area, such as the Belfast Central Travelodge, too.
