INTRODUCTION The Press and Journal is delighted to be launching a skills event for the Highlands, in November 2015. The Press & Journal Skills Show is a unique new event and free to attend event, which will be stimulating, inspiring and interactive. It will provide a platform for employers and further education establishments to showcase opportunities which are available to school leavers, students, and those seeking new challenges or looking to retrain. According to Barclays survey of employers, Scottish businesses are investing in skills, spending the highest proportion of their budget on training in the UK. Their report further suggests Scotland is leading the UK in its commitment to hiring apprentices and developing young talent. The Press and Journal will use a comprehensive marketing campaign to attract the following groups; S2 to S6 school pupils, college and university students, parents, career advisers and jobseekers of all ages and skill levels, throughout Inverness and surrounding areas. We welcome the opportunity to work in partnership with your organisation to deliver The Press and Journal Skills Show 2015. The following pages outline our plans for the event and the associated title sponsorship package.

MARKETING The Press and Journal Skills Show will benefit from a comprehensive marketing campaign to promote the awards, including: A DPS in the Press and Journal to launch the event explaining the format of the event A minimum of 3 further editorial features promoting the event. A minimum of seven 15x3 adverts promoting the event A minimum of three half page adverts promoting the event An 8pp event guide supplement the week of the event (this will also be issued to everyone attending the event) Post event coverage in paper Promotion on P&J website. A bespoke Inverness Skills Show website Direct mail marketing to schools and colleges Targeted email marketing campaign Social Media campaign
