Program Description The introduction of new and novel therapeutics, new applications and innovative diagnostic techniques has created a new range of approaches to many important areas of GI disease and patient care. During this program, the specific topics of Barrett s, nausea and vomiting, POEM procedures, liver disease, deep enteroscopy, IBD, a malpractice insurance update and an update on legislative issues affecting healthcare, specifically gastroenterology, will be explored. The structure of the program includes a mix of didactic presentations delivered by expert faculty, interactive audience discussions as well as significant question and answer opportunities. This program is designed for gastroenterologists, primary care physicians, nurses, physician assistants and nurse practitioners interested in the latest information on diagnostic GI and state of the art treatment of these illnesses. Accreditation/CME This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American College of Gastroenterology and the Louisiana Gastroenterology Society.
