2 A Course Designed Specifically for You Designed with the diverse needs of the GI nurse practitioner (NP) and physician assistant (PA) in mind, this course offers attendees in-depth information on the latest techniques and tools used to manage treatment for patients with a variety of GI disorders such as obesity, epigastric pain, acute liver failure, Crohn s disease and Ulcerative Colitis. This year s course will feature a balanced mix of case-based and didactic sessions, giving NPs and PAs essential information to enhance their clinical skill set and provide patient care of the highest quality. New and experienced NPs and PAs will find that information acquired at the course can be immediately applied to both hospital and office settings. By attending, you will be able to: Evaluate clinical presentations of GI bleeds, obesity, ascites and more. Learn treatment options for IBD patients. Diagnose and manage patients with various liver disorders. Establish basic and advanced knowledge applicable to both the inpatient and outpatient/office settings. Network with Your Peers Expand your professional network and exchange ideas with over 100 GI nurse practitioners and physician assistants who work in a variety of practice settings.
