Adding a Printer (yu must add a printer befre yu lg int SCM t be able t print frm SCM): a. Click n Start then Printers and Faxes b. Click Add a Printer c. Click Next d. Make sure A Netwrk Printer, r Printer attached t anther cmputer is selected and click Next e. Select Cnnect t this Printer and in the Name field type: \\Print\ printername and click Next f. Select Yes t make it yur default printer and click Next and Finish *Nte: Yu will need t add a printer each time yu lg int a different cmputer that yu have nt set up a printer n. The printer name is n a sticker n the frnt f the printer. 3. Lgging int SCM (utside f the ED): a. Duble-click n the Citrix Icn n desktp (r pen Internet Explrer and g t the Infnet. Click n Tls and select Citrix) b. Lg int Citrix using yur SHR username and passwrd c. Click n the Prductin Applicatins flder d. Click n the SCM icn e. At the Allscripts lgin screen, enter SHR username and passwrd *Nte: If yu are nt able t lgin at this pint, please ensure that yu were the user that lgged nt the cmputer. If nt, please lg all the way ff and back n as yurself. f. T lg ff, click n the red pwer buttn lcated in the tp right-hand crner 4. Lgging int SCM n an ED autlgin cmputer a. Duble-click n the Citrix Icn n desktp (r pen Internet Explrer and g t the Infnet. Click n Tls and select Citrix) b. Lg int Citrix using yur SHR username and passwrd c. Click n the SCM Desktp icn a citrix desktp will pen d. Duble-click n the SCM icn e. At the Allscripts lgin screen, enter SHR username and passwrd *Nte: If yu are nt able t lgin at this pint, please ensure that yu were the user that lgged int Citrix. If nt, please lg all the way ff and back n as yurself.

f. T discnnect yur sessin, click n the tp red X in the in the tp right-hand crner and click OK t the prmpt that cmes up. Yur sessin will nw remain idle n the server fr 4 hurs. g. When yu want t lg in again, g t any Autlgin PC and lg int Citrix. Yu will be taken directly back t yur idle Citrix sessin. h. Always remember t discnnect yur Citrix Desktp sessin befre yu walk away frm the cmputer. *Nte: if yu walk up t a cmputer in the ED the belw screen is displayed click n the secnd ptin Click here t lgin t ED SCM Desktp t return t the Citrix lgin screen. 5. Patient Lists: There are three different types f Patient Lists: i. Criteria Based List: List is updated dynamically by what is sent frm SHR s registratin system - Envatin Yu cannt add r remve patients n a criteria based list Can change the clumns Saved when yu lg ff ii. Special Lists: List is nt updated autmatically Yu can add r remve patients as yu like Pre-fixed with an asterisk * Can change the clumns Saved when yu lg ff iii. Temprary List: Are nt saved after yu lg ff Named Temprary List Clumns prvided are system based and cannt be changed *Nte: The abve lists appear in the Current List drp-dwn menu when yu are n the Patient List tab. a. Hw t setup a Criteria Based List: Frm Patient List tab, click the Actins file menu and select New Visit List r Click n the New Visit List icn Select the criteria yu wuld like t use t make yur patient list: *Nte: This criteria is based n visit inf that is sent frm Envatin

Yu rle as a prvider Patient Registered Lcatin Other Prviders and their rles Service Visit status Once dne selecting the abve criteria, click OK. Yu will be prmpted t name the list, then click OK. T mdify yur Criteria Based list, select the list yu want t mdify and frm the Actins file menu select Mdify Visit List r Click n the Mdify Visit List icn b. Hw t setup Special and Temprary Lists: Special Lists - Frm yur current list n the Patient List tab: Select patient(s) yu wuld like t add t a Special list Click n Save Selected Patients Chse an available list r create a new list name and click OK Special and Temprary Lists - Using the Find Patient functin: Frm the Patient Inf tab, click the File drp-dwn menu and select Find Patient r Click n the Find Patient icn Enter in sme patient infrmatin and click n Search Select the patient that yu are lking fr and click Shw Visits A list f the patient s visits since December 2010 will be listed. Select the desired visit and either: Click Save T List t save visit t a Special List Click OK t save visit t a Temprary List

6. New Results Flag: a. Fr flags t appear in the New Results clumn yu must turn n the Flag New which yu can d ne f three ways: Duble-click in the Flag New clumn Select the patient(s) yu want t receive New Result flags fr and frm the Actins drp-dwn menu select Flag New On Click n the Flag New On icn b. A flag will appear in the New Results r New Dcuments clumn when a result/dcument has been received frm Lab, Medical Imaging r Transcriptin. Yu can duble-click the flag t pen the new result/dcument. c. Once yu have reviewed the Result(s) yu can then chse t: Clear Flag Dn t Clear Flag d. Once yu have reviewed the Dcument(s) yu can then chse t: Mark As Read and Clse Dn t Mark and Clse *Nte: Unlike the ED Status Bard, Patient Lists are user based, s what yu d n yur lists des nt affect anyne else. 7. Cnfiguring Patient List Clumns a. Yu can resize clumns by placing yur curser ver the vertical gridline in the clumn header. Click and drag the clumn t the desired width b. Yu can mve clumns arund by clicking n a clumn header and dragging it t a desired lcatin c. Remve/Add clumns: Chse desired patient list Frm the Actins drp-dwn menu select Select Visit List Clumn... Frm the Available Clumns list, select desired clumn and click Add Yu may srt the rder f the clumn by selecting a clumn and clicking the Mve Up r Mve Dwn buttns 8. Viewing Chart Tabs: Highlight a patient name n the Patient List r ED Status Bard The patient s visit infrmatin appears in the header The chart tabs becme active The icns belw the chart tabs will differ depending n what chart tab yu are n

*Nte: Anytime yu require mre infrmatin regarding a chart tab, select the chart tab and then click n the green questin mark in the tp right-hand side f the applicatin. The Help menu will display with infrmatin pertaining nly t the current tab a. Results and Dcuments tabs: Optins Panel: The default Chart Selectin is All Available Charts This allws yu t see all results/dcuments fr the patient that have been rdered against ther visits Select This Chart if yu nly want t view results/dcuments fr the current visit The default date range is set t One Mnth Ag T view results/dcuments lder than ne mnth, click n the arrw t the right f the date and select a different date range The Results tab default Display View is the Summary (grid) view Click n Reprt by Order t see a chrnlgical list f all results dependent n yur date range and chart selectin The Dcuments tab default Display View is the Reprt view Click n Summary t see a grid view f available dcuments Results: Lab results pst against their Cllectin date/time Medical Imaging results pst against their Prcedure date/time Flags will appear as results are sent frm the ancillary departments The flags are clr cded: Yellw: N reference range exists (i.e. Micr, Pathlgy, Medical Imaging) Red: New abnrmal result Green: Nrmal result Right click n the date header t change the date interval shwn Duble-click a single result flag t view the results fr that date and specific Result Categry (ie. Pathlgy) Duble-click n a specific date t view all categries f results fr that date Duble-click a Result Categry t view all results specific t that categry (ie. click n Pathlgy t view nly Pathlgy results, r click n Labratry Medicine t view results frm Gen Lab, Micr and Path) *Nte: Transfusin Medicine results d nt currently pst t SCM Dcuments: Includes dcuments that are dictated and transcribed thrugh the SHR transcriptin applicatin Nuance they pst against the prcedure date and time: Operative Reprts Discharge Summaries Cnsultatins Clinic Reprts Histry and Physical Pst-Anesthetic Ntes Vascular Lab

Includes dcuments that are created in SCM they pst against the date they were created: ED Triage Nte Clinic Ntes such as Assessments and Fllw-ups frm sme utpatient clinics Duble-click n a dcument t pen it T clse, click the red x in the tp right crner b. Patient Inf tab: This tab will allw yu t view (but nt change) the persnal infrmatin regarding the patient that has been entered int Envatin SHR des nt currently use Allergies, Alerts, Cmments r Significant Events within SCM Click n Care Prviders t see a list f current prviders fr that patient visit. Yu may click n the Shw Inactive check bx t shw inactive care prviders Health Issues is ppulated by Envatin and includes nly: Infectin Cntrl (VRE, MRSA, ESBL) Medical Histry (SBDP Sask Bleeding Disrder Prgram, and cming sn LTP Lung Transplant Patient) Addresses/Phne/Cntacts self explanatry Demgraphics/Visit Data can click n Details and then Other ID s t view the patients HSN Visit histry will prvide a cmplete list f the patients visits since December 2010 Select a visit frm this list and click Open Visit(s) t pen that visit t a Temprary list c. Clinical Summary: Pulls inf frm the current visit all int ne summary based n the available tiles Culd be used as a base fr a handver dcument 9. Hw t Print a Single Lab Result fr the Current Visit: a. Select patient and click n the Results tab b. Find the result yu wish t print and right-click n it and chse Print Results fr Order frm the drp-dwn menu c. Select Results fr selected Orders and click Print 10. Hw t Print all Lab Results fr the Current Visit: a. Select patient and click n the Results tab. b. In Optins Panel n left-hand side select This Chart (yu may have t als change the date selectin t Start f this Chart) and change the display view t Reprt by Order c. Click the Print Reprts icn frm the tlbar r use the <F7> functin key d. Select Patient Result Reprt Visit frm the Reprt Selectin menu e. Click Print

11. Hw t Graph Results and Print a. Select patient and then click n the Results tab b. In the Optins Panel n the left-hand side change the date range if needed and select the Display View t Trend & Graph (at the bttm f the Optins panel) c. Select the test yu wuld like t trend graph will appear n the bttm f the screen d. Right-click n the graph and chse Print/Exprt e. Select Printer and click Print f. Chse the printer yu want t print t and click OK 12. Hw t Print a Patient List: a. Chse the Patient List yu wuld like t print frm the Current List drp-dwn and click the Print Reprts icn frm the tlbar r use the <F7> functin key b. Ensure that Patient Lists is selected fr the Reprt Categry c. Chse either reprt the reprt fr Lcatin srts by Lcatin and the ne fr Patient srts the pateints alphabetically. d.
