1 Setup O365 mailbx access n MACs Yu can use a web brwser r an prgram n yur cmputer t cnnect t yur accunt. Web brwser access Yu cnnect yur Apple cmputer t yur accunt by using a web brwser in the same way that yu cnnect a Windws cmputer. Mail prgram access Yu can cnnect t yur accunt autmatically, r yu can cnnect by using IMAP r POP. There are three prgrams yu can use t cnnect t yur accunt by entering yur address and passwrd: Outlk fr Mac 2011 Enturage 2008, Web Services Editin Mail (the applicatin included with Mac OS 10.6 Snw Lepard and Mac OS 10.7 Lin) Cnnecting t yur accunt by using Outlk fr Mac 2011 r Enturage 2008, Web Services Editin prvides a mre cmplete experience than cnnecting t yur by using IMAP r POP. Fr example, if yu cnnect using Outlk fr Mac 2011 r Enturage 2008, Web Services Editin, yu'll be able t synchrnize Ntes, Tasks, Calendar items, r Categries between Outlk Web App and Outlk fr Mac 2011 r Enturage 2008, Web Services Editin. Nte: If yu're running Enturage 2008, yu must install Enturage 2008, Web Services Editin, a free update fr Enturage 2008 users. If yu're running Mac OS 10.6 Snw Lepard, yu can use the Mail prgram that's included with Snw Lepard t cnnect t yur accunt withut using IMAP r POP. As with Outlk fr Mac 2011 and Enturage 2008, Web Services Editin, the steps fr cnnecting t yur accunt with Mac Mail fr Mac OS 10.6 Snw Lepard nly require yu t enter yur address and passwrd.

2 Fr mre infrmatin abut hw t use these prgrams t cnnect t yur accunt, fllw the steps in ne f these tpics: Set up Outlk fr Mac Open Outlk fr Mac On the Tls menu, click Accunts. If this is the first accunt yu're creating in Outlk 2011, under Add an Accunt, click Exchange Accunt. If yu've previusly created an accunt fr a different address, in the lwer crner f the Accunts dialg bx, click, and then click Exchange. 1. On the Enter yur Exchange accunt infrmatin page, type yur address. 2. Under Authenticatin, make sure User Name and Passwrd is selected. 3. In the User name bx, type yur cmplete address. In the Passwrd bx, type yur passwrd. 4. Make sure Cnfigure autmatically is selected, and then click Add Accunt. 5. After yu click Add Accunt, Outlk will perfrm an nline search t find yur server settings. In the dialg bx that asks if yu want t allw the server t cnfigure yur settings, select the Always use my respnse fr this server check bx, and then click Allw. 6. If Outlk is able t set up yur accunt, yu'll see the accunt yu set up in the Accunts dialg bx. Clse the Accunts dialg bx. If Outlk isn't able t set up yur accunt, see the next sectin in this article. Set up Enturage 2008, Web Services Editin access t using an Exchange accunt 1. Install Enturage 2008, Web Services Editin. 2. Open Enturage In the Enturage dialg bx, under Select an identity, click New, type a name fr yur accunt, and then click OK. 3. On the Welcme t Enturage page, make sure Start using Enturage withut imprting anything is selected. Click the right arrw buttn. 4. On the Set Up a Mail Accunt page, in address, enter yur full address, fr example, jhn.de@ .kpu.ca. 5. Select the My accunt is n an Exchange server check bx. Click the right arrw buttn. 6. The Enturage Setup Assistant will try t set up yur accunt autmatically based n yur address. If Enturage is redirected t the server t get yur settings, click Always use my respnse fr this server, and then click Allw. 7. The Enturage Setup Assistant page will appear. Then yu'll see the Cnfiguring Accunt screen while Enturage tries t set up yur accunt autmatically.

3 8. If a message that asks yu if yu want t allw <server name> t cnfigure yur settings appears, select Always use my respnse fr this server, and then click Allw. The server name listed may be similar t 9. In the Optinal: Verify Settings dialg bx, click Verify My Settings. Read the results f the verificatin prcess. 10. In the Accunt Infrmatin dialg bx, d the fllwing: a. Make sure the Dmain text bx is blank. b. In the Accunt ID text bx, enter yur full address, fr example, jhn.de@ .kpu.ca. c. In the Passwrd text bx, enter yur passwrd. If yu want t save yur passwrd, select the check bx next t Save passwrd in my Mac OS keychain. Click the right arrw buttn. Nte: The Autdiscver prcess may ppulate the LDAP server text bx with a server name. This infrmatin isn't needed. If a server name is present in the LDAP server text bx, delete the server name. 11. D ne f the fllwing: a. If the results shw that verificatin succeeded, click the right arrw buttn, and then, in the Setup Cmplete dialg bx, click Finish. b. If the results shw that verificatin failed, click the right arrw buttn and repeat the previus step, and then click the right arrw buttn. If the results shw verificatin succeeded, click the right arrw buttn, and then, in the Setup Cmplete dialg bx, click Finish. If the accunt setup fails again, see the sectin "What else d I need t knw?" at the end f this article. 12. If the verificatin prcess succeeded, Enturage 2008 will try t synchrnize with yur accunt. If yu're prmpted with the Accunt Infrmatin dialg bx, d the fllwing: a. Make sure the Dmain text bx is blank. b. In Accunt ID, enter yur full address, fr example, jhn.de@ .kpu.ca. c. In Passwrd, enter yur passwrd. If yu want t save yur passwrd, select the check bx next t Save passwrd in my Mac OS keychain. 13. If a warning message appears that indicates that yur accunt infrmatin culdn't be retrieved, click Yes in the dialg bx, and then re-enter yur address and passwrd. 14. T view yur mail, click yur accunt name in the Enturage cnsle tree and expand the flders. Set up Enturage 2008, Web Services Editin access t using POP r IMAP

4 Yu can cnnect Micrsft Enturage fr Mac OS X t yur accunt using POP3 r IMAP4. This prcedure applies t Enturage 2004 and Enturage Set up Enturage fr access t using POP r IMAP 1. In Enturage fr Mac, n the Tls menu, click Accunts > New. 2. In the New Accunt windw, under Add new mail accunt, select IMAP r POP frm the drp-dwn menu next t Accunt type, and then click OK. Yu might want t use IMAP because it supprts mre features. 3. On the Edit Accunt page, d the fllwing: Under Accunt name, type a name fr this accunt. Under Persnal Infrmatin: a. Next t Name, enter the name yu want peple t see when yu send them . b. Next t address, enter yur full address, fr example, jhn.de@ .kpu.ca. Under Receiving mail: c. Next t Accunt ID, enter yur full address. d. If yu're using IMAP4, next t IMAP server enter the IMAP4 server name. If yu're using POP3, under POP server, enter the POP3 server name. If yu re cnnecting t yur Office 365 , the IMAP r POP server name is utlk.ffice365.cm. e. Next t Passwrd, enter yur passwrd. If yu want t save yur passwrd, select the check bx next t Save passwrd in my Mac OS keychain. f. Click Click here fr advanced receiving ptins. In the pp-up windw that appears, select the check bx next t This IMAP service requires a secure cnnectin (SSL), and then click the clse buttn in the upper-left crner f the pp-up windw. Under Sending mail: g. Next t SMTP server, enter the SMTP server name. If yu re cnnecting t yur Office 365 , the SMTP server name is smtp.ffice365.cm. h. Click Click here fr advanced sending ptins. In the pp-up windw that appears, d the fllwing: Select the check bx next t SMTP service requires secure cnnectin (SSL). Select the check bx next t SMTP server requires authenticatin.

5 Select the Use same settings as receiving mail server ptin, and then click the clse buttn in the upper-left crner f the pp-up windw. 4. On the Optins page, select the ptins yu want. If yu're using IMAP4, yu can als select ptins n the Advanced page. Nte: If yu're using POP3, n the Optins page, under Server ptins, select Leave a cpy f each message n the server if yu want t keep a cpy f yur messages n the server. If yu dn't d this, all messages will be remved frm the server and stred lcally n yur cmputer. 5. In the Edit Accunt windw, click OK t save yur settings. 6. Clse the Accunts dialg bx. Find yur POP and IMAP server settings If yu re cnnecting t yur Office 365 , yu dn t need t lk up yur settings. Fr Office 365, the server name fr IMAP and POP is utlk.ffice365.cm and the server name fr SMTP is smtp.ffice365.cm. Set up Exchange accunt access using Mac OS 10.6 Snw Lepard r later If yu're running Mac OS 10.6 Snw Lepard r later, fllw these steps t set up an Exchange accunt: 1. Open Mail, and then d ne f the fllwing: If yu've never used Mail t set up an accunt, the Welcme t Mail page pens. G t step 2. If yu've used Mail t create accunts, n the Mail menu, click Preferences. On the Accunts tab, click Add t pen the Add Accunt windw. 2. In the Welcme t Mail r Add Accunt windw, d the fllwing: In the Full Name bx, type the name yu want t display t peple wh receive yur messages. In the Address bx, type yur primary address. In the Passwrd bx, type the passwrd fr yur accunt, and then click Cntinue. The Mail prgram uses the infrmatin yu entered t try t set up yur accunt autmatically. 3. Next chse the Mac apps yu want t use with this accunt. Available chices are Cntacts, Calendar, Ntes, and Reminders. 4. Click Dne t finish setting up yur accunt.

6 If the Mail prgram isn't able t set up yur accunt autmatically, wait a few minutes r a few hurs, and then repeat these steps. Set up POP r IMAP n Mac OS X If yu just want t manage yur Exchange n the Mac, yu can set up POP r IMAP access t yur accunt. 1. Open Mail, and then d ne f the fllwing: If yu've never used Mail t set up an accunt, the Welcme t Mail page pens. G t step 2. If yu've used Mail t create accunts, n the Mail menu, click Preferences. On the Accunts tab, click Add t pen the Add Accunt windw. 2. In the Welcme t Mail r Add Accunt dialg bx, d the fllwing: a. In the Full Name bx, type the name yu want t display t peple wh receive yur messages. b. In the Address bx, type yur primary address. c. In the Passwrd bx, type the passwrd fr yur accunt, and then click Next. 3. Yu'll see a message stating that the accunt must be cnfigured manually. Click Next. 4. In the Incming Mail Server Inf dialg bx, enter the fllwing: Next t Accunt Type, chse POP r IMAP. IMAP supprts mre features. In the Mail Server bx, type the IMAP r POP3 server name. If yu re cnnecting t yur Office 365 , the IMAP r POP server name is utlk.ffice365.cm. In the User Name bx, type yur primary address. In the Passwrd bx, type the passwrd fr the accunt if necessary. Click Next. Mail uses default settings t test yur cnnectin t the incming server. Nte: If the test isn't successful, yu can yu can g t Mail > Accunts t verify yur settings after yu cmplete this prcedure. 5. In the Outging Mail Server Inf dialg bx, d the fllwing:. In the SMTP Server bx, type the SMTP server name. If yu re cnnecting t yur Office 365 , the Simple Mail Transfer Prtcl (SMTP) server name is smtp.ffice365.cm. a. Enter yur User Name and Passwrd again. Mst utging servers use this infrmatin fr security purpses. b. Click Create. Mail uses default settings t test yur cnnectin t the utging mail server.

7 Nte: If the test isn't successful, yu can yu can g t Mail > Accunts t verify yur settings. Find yur POP r IMAP server settings If yu re cnnecting t yur Office 365 , yu dn t need t lk up yur settings. Fr Office 365, the server name fr IMAP and POP is utlk.ffice365.cm and the server name fr SMTP is smtp.ffice365.cm.
