FESTIVAL OF THE T R E E S 2 0 1 2 Each year the design community comes together to support Florida International University s Interior department at the Festival of the Trees. The trees are conceived and created by leading designers and auctioned at the event. This holiday extravaganza has raised more than $100,000 in funds that directly benefits interior architecture students. Sponsors of this event underwrite designers/artists/tree creators who design and build their unique holiday creations and donate them to the event. The week after Thanksgiving, the trees are displayed and auctioned at the gala opening held at Coral Gables Museum and traditionally attended by more than 600 guests. The lucky winning bidders get to keep these extraordinary pieces as holiday decorations in their homes or offices. Celebrating its 26th year, the Festival of the Trees is expanding its reach to target FIU alumni, the South Florida architecture community, and design enthusiasts. Becoming an event sponsor will not only expose your product or service to a new audience, but it will also create goodwill toward your brand. Target Markets Artists, gallerists, collectors. Media Plan Based on our identified target market, we have created a media plan that will generate interest and participation in FIU s Festival of the Trees, while specifically targeting our key markets. Website and E-Marketing Primary website averaging 400 hits per month. Save-the-Date E-card and print invitations sent to over 2000 subscribers. Combined Facebook pages with over 1000 friends. Inclusion on community calendar listings. December 10 Last day for winning bidders to remove trees.
