2 PEACE HOUSE is a charitable organization dedicated to ending family violence and abuse in the community through education, outreach, support services and shelter. PEACE HOUSE PROGRAMS! EDUCATION. Peace House provides education about family violence to children in community schools for grades kindergarten through 12. Peace House also provides presentations in the community to create awareness about family violence and services available to help. PEACE HOUSE EDUCATES MORE THAN 5,000 STUDENTS EACH YEAR.! OUTREACH & SUPPORT. The outreach program identifies at-risk families and helps them avoid family violence crisis situations. The bi-lingual program includes education, support groups, direct intervention and case management. The program is designed to break the cycle of domestic violence through understanding, planning and action. PEACE HOUSE ASSISTS 800 WOMEN & CHILDREN THROUGH OUTREACH & SUPPORT PROGRAMS.! SHELTER. Peace House provides a safe haven for women and their children when they have no other viable option to escape domestic violence. The Shelter provides temporary safe housing for families while they acquire the skills and resources necessary to start their lives free from violence. PEACE HOUSE PROVIDES SAFE SHELTER FOR OVER 135 WOMEN & CHILDREN EACH YEAR. PEACE HOUSE FAQ! Peace House was established in 1995.! Peace House provides all services free of charge.! Peace House s service area includes both Summit & Wasatch counties.! The Shelter is staffed 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, 365-days a year.! The Shelter is licensed to house up to 15-women & children, plus 2-infants.! The Shelter is approximately 3400-square feet consisting of kitchen, small living area, 5-bedrooms, & basement - with food panty, laundry, & small storage area.! The average Shelter stay is approximately 30-days.
