SEAoT STATE CONFERENCE: 2012 ABOUT THE CONFERENCE CONFERENCE SPONSORS Recognized across the State as a must attend event for professional Structural Engineers, this year s State Conference will be held at La Villita Assembly Building in San Antonio s historic La Villita district on the Riverwalk. An exciting program of presentations and events is planned to appeal to delegates, vendors and companions. The Conference will kick off on THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 27 with a half-day golf tournament held at the Brackenridge Park Golf Course. The technical program will begin at 2:00 pm on Thursday and conclude on Friday evening, giving delegates a day and a half of technical and business presentations by recognized industry leaders. Those attending all the presentations can expect to earn around eight professional development hours of continued education credit. (See next page for Program details). An icebreaker social on the evening of the first day, held in the Exhibit Hall, will allow delegates to network and meet with exhibitors. ACCOMMODATION Since the conference is being held at La Villita Assembly Building, delegates are free to stay at the hotel of their choice. The Conference Committee has reserved a block of rooms at the Westin Hotel, one block from the Villita Assembly Building, at just $159 a night (plus tax). PLEASE BOOK EARLY. The $159 rate will expire at the end of August. For vendors, no other conference in Texas offers a more targeted opportunity to reach structural engineers. With vendors in mind, this year s Exhibit Hall has been designed to encourage delegates to circulate and meet with vendors. Breakfast, the Icebreaker Social on the first evening and extended refreshment breaks will all be held with the exhibitors.
