4 SPONSORSHIP ADD-ONS Opening Reception Cocktail Hour Design Deadline Challenge Wednesday, March 18, 2015 Introduce your company and welcome everyone to the convention by sponsoring the opening reception. Options are available to host the opening reception on-site at the hotel or off-site at a nearby restaurant or bar. Investment dependent on selected event location Saturday, March 21, 2015 During one of the design sessions, designers will be given information regarding a company and what they want to promote in an advertisement. Designers will be given a limited amount of time to complete an advertisement for the company assigned. As a sponsor, you will have the opportunity to serve as a judge to select the best advertisements and present the winner ($150) and runner -up ($75) with his or her prize. Hospitality Sponsor Thursday, March 19, 2015 The hospitality sponsor will be given the opportunity to mingle with students and advisers that are picking up a cup of Joe and their convention packets at the registration booth throughout the morning (until 250 cups have been served). Diamond & Gold: $1,500 Silver & Recruiter: $1,750 Student Event Night Thursday, March 19, 2015 or Friday, March 20, 2015 The student event is an excellent opportunity for a sponsor to network and interact with the student attendees in a more casual setting. As the sponsor, you will have the opportunity to choose the type of the event and the location for it. During breakfast, students from up to 25 different college media organizations will have the opportunity to share their newest, best and most innovative idea that has been implemented in their organization throughout the past year. Diamond & Gold: $500 Silver & Recruiter: $750 Saturday Morning Sell-Off Saturday, March 21, 2015 Sales representatives from student media organizations across the country will apply to participate in the Saturday Morning Sell-Off. As the sponsor, you will select five of the students applications to compete in the Saturday Morning Sell-Off. Before a panel of judges, each student will complete a mock sales meeting. You will have the opportunity to serve as a judge and also present the winner ($150) and runner-up ($75) with his or her prize. Diamond & Gold: $750 Silver & Recruiter: $1,000 Diamond & Gold: $500 Silver & Recruiter: $750 Awards Banquet Cocktail Hour Saturday, March 21, 2015 The CMBAM awards banquet will be held at the hotel and as the sponsor, you have the opportunity to say a few words to kick off the cocktail hour and promote your organization, while also mingling one last time with all of the students and advisors before they head home from the convention. The CMBAM President will also recognize your organization and what you do during the awards banquet. Diamond & Gold: $400 Silver & Recruiter: $500 Convention Programs Programs are distributed to all CMBAM convention attendees at registration. As the Program Sponsor, your company s logo will be included in part of the design of the front cover of the program and the back outside cover of the program would also be reserved for an advertisement promoting your company. Diamond & Gold: $1,800 Silver & Recruiter: $2,000 Lanyards Build your brand at the CMBAM Convention by sponsoring the lanyards. Your company s logo will alternate with the CMBAM logo on the lanyards. Name tags are attached to them and are distributed to, and must be worn by, every convention attendee at all times. Diamond & Gold: $800 Silver & Recruiter: $900 Folders Convention Programs and other information are distributed to convention attendees in folders that are handed out upon registration of the convention. 6 ROOM & BOARD The 2015 CMBAM Convention will be held at The Westin River North in Chicago, IL. It is located in the heart of city and on the Chicago River. CMBAM s room rate is $189/night. The convention begins on Wednesday, March 18th and concludes on Saturday, March 21st. Please list your attendees' names below. 7 THE FINE PRINT The deadline for any organization to commit to being a vendor or sponsor is Monday, February 2, The deadline for any organization to submit artwork for their program advertisement is Friday, February 13, Location of exhibit space is determined by CMBAM. Exhibits must be available for viewing by convention attendees beginning at 3pm on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 and concluding at 5pm on Friday, March 20, Unless otherwise agreed upon with CMBAM, the exhibit space will include one 6-foot skirted table, two chairs and one trash can. All arrangements for Internet and electrical power requirements must be made directly with The Westin River North s AV Company. Information to order these services will be sent upon request. CMBAM assumes no responsibility for expenses incurred for electrical, Internet hookups and usage. Payment for arrangements will be made directly with the hotel. CMBAM will provide you with shipping information which includes address, label directions and arrival requirements and restrictions. CMBAM assumes no responsibility for expenses incurred for materials shipped or stored at the hotel. Each exhibit space may be used to display materials and information for one company. Other groups are not allowed to share your exhibit space. CMBAM will take reasonable precautions to ensure the area provided for exhibits is secured during non-exhibiting hours. However, CMBAM nor the hotel assumes liability for damage, loss or theft of any property owned by the exhibitors or its agents. No exhibitor may host or sponsor a social function or educational program during the convention without the prior approval of CMBAM. We will work with all exhibitors to find an appropriate time and location for such functions. When reserving rooms at The Westin River North, please do not overbook with the intention of releasing rooms. Only reserve the number of rooms that your delegation will need. All exhibitors are invited to attend most convention sessions. Please attend as an observer and not as an active participant, unless otherwise invited. No refunds will be given for canceled sponsorships.
