JOB DSCRIPTION: Marketing and Communications Manager Grade: M 8 Responsible to: School Business Manager HR & Finance Responsible for: Hours of work: Developing a structured approach to marketing Raynes Park High School offer to grow student numbers in both main school and the Sixth Form in line with the strategic plan and school marketing strategy This post is full-time 35 hours per week or part-time 18 hours per week / 42 weeks per year. Attendance during school holidays to be arranged in conjunction with the School Business Manager, and around school priorities Job Purpose: To ensure that RPHS becomes the school of first choice for its key feeder schools To ensure that the admission PAN for Year 7 and Year 12 is over subscribed Compile, co-ordinate and deliver the annual marketing and communications plan that considers the full marketing and communications mix and aims to deliver a sense of school community and increase student numbers Compile, co-ordinate and deliver a positive public relations plan to promote the school in the local community and press General Duties Marketing Plan, develop and create a range of promotional materials to support the marketing and communications plan that encompasses the marketing and communications plan including prospectuses, brochures, advertisements, termly newsletters and other materials as appropriate/agreed Produce marketing and communications material to support and promote events and schools liaison activity including termly promotional newsletters, with suitable professional photographs Create material and lead on the management of the school website and social media sites in a co-ordinated way to improve the school s web presence and increase usage of the website Liaise and co-ordinate with colleagues to ensure that display materials across the school are current, relevant and consistently comply with brand guidelines Lead and manage the marketing budget Communication In conjunction with the Administrative Manager, lead and develop a whole-school communications programme which ensures highly effective communication with students and families.
nsure all communication letters / emails / texts reflect consistently high standards and maintain RPHS branding across all communications Develop, lead and deliver a pro-active online presence for the school eg school blog Develop the use of Twitter and other social media networking opportunities professionally within school Public Relations Develop and lead a positive public relations strategy, with weekly press releases promoting the work and successes within school life, termly advertorial developments, co-ordinated strategic advertising Develop and lead a positive public relations campaign around key results days, involving developing relationships with local journalists and consistent PR etc. Admissions Year 7 and Sixth Form: Co-ordinate the marketing of year 6 into 7 and Sixth Form transition activities / open mornings / events. Safeguarding / Child Protection: Supporting the school s safeguarding procedures and policies.
