Duties and Responsibilities You will be required to undertake the duties and responsibilities detailed below: Review, update and maintain the Conservatoire website including copyediting, proofreading, image sourcing and other duties which assist with user engagement. Assist with all print collateral and distribution across the Communications Team, including creating briefs, proofreading, image sourcing and liaising with external design agencies as required. Create marketing materials and manage small design jobs in-house using Adobe Indesign and Photoshop. Assist in building and maintaining the reputation of the Conservatoire through visual identity, design and language 2
3 Assist in the placement and production of student-recruitment based advertising for all programmes and the Conservatoire as a whole. Research, review and create content on external websites relating to the Conservatoire, including course listings and blog content. Assist in the development of regular e-communications plan to keep in touch with potential applicants, students, their families and their advisors/influencers. Assist the Communications Team with creating engaging social media and contribute with the development of social media and digital campaigns. Review and benchmark competitor information for the Conservatoire across all courses, including short courses and the Junior Conservatoire. Maintain and review the Conservatoire s database of networks and contacts using Raiser s Edge and Evocos. Assist the Conservatoire photographer with image sourcing and managing the photography database. Assist with marketing and recruitment events as appropriate, including Open Days. Participate in the Conservatoires Goals Setting and Career Review process Undertake any other reasonable duties on behalf of the Communications Team General Responsibilities (all staff) (a) Health and Safety To take care of your own health and safety at work and that of other persons who may be affected by your work activities. 4 (b) Use of equipment and other appliances To take fullest care in handling, operation and safeguarding of any equipment, vehicles or appliance, used or issued by the Conservatoire or provided or issued by a third party for individual or collective use in the performance of your duties. Scope of the Job Financial: Under the supervision of the Communications Manager and Communications Officers, you may be required to update the student recruitment communication budget. Staff: There are no staff members reporting to this post. Others: You will be required to communicate effectively with colleagues within the conservatoire as well as with current and future students, their families and key influencers. 4. Context 4
5 Operating Environment: Internally, the Conservatoire is an intense, student-centred environment in which students are regarded as professionals in training. Performance is the Conservatoire environment. Framework and Boundaries: As a member of the Communications staff team, you will be required to work within the Conservatoire Strategic Plan, the Conservatoire Regulations, Health and Safety Regulations, Policies and procedures and Quality Assurance processes required by the Conservatoire as well as the appropriate departmental policies. You will be expected to actively engage in health and safety and to be responsible for your own health and safety in the course of your work.
