Job Description Post : Post No. : Senior Infrastructure ngineer Grade : 35k- 40k Section : Civil & Infrastructure ngineering Location : xeter Reporting Arrangements and Main Contacts 1. Reports to Robson Liddle Principal Infrastructure ngineer in xeter. 2. Day-to-day management by Principal Infrastructure ngineer. 3. Mentoring of staff in the Civil & Infrastructure ngineering team in xeter. 4. Based in xeter, but expected to spend time at other offices in line with business need. Main Tasks and Accountabilities 1. Mentoring of Civil & Infrastructure ngineering staff in xeter. 2. Implementation of best practice in Civil & Infrastructure ngineering in xeter. 3. Delivery of commercial targets for in Civil & Infrastructure ngineering projects in xeter. 4. Liaising with Principal Infrastructure ngineer to plan workload and resources as required. 5. Leading major projects. 6. To ensure the implementation and compliance of all Group policies, procedures and guidelines. 7. To lead on the delivery of quality assured, client focused products and services to meet the agreed requirements of the customer. 8. To contribute to the operation and development of the Business Management System to ensure the continuous improvement of quality assured services/products for clients.
9. To carry out other duties appropriate to the level and character of the post. Key Result Areas The postholder will be expected to: 1. Build relationships with Management and Design teams in xeter. 2. Deliver required Technical and Commercial performance of the Civil & Infrastructure ngineering projects in xeter. 3. Work with the Principal Infrastructure ngineer to implement Group-wide standards in Civil & Infrastructure ngineering. Qualifications (Number, type and level of qualification or equivalent experience if appropriate) Chartered ngineer (Cng) or Incorporated ngineer (Ing). Member of the Institution of Civil ngineers (MIC) or equivalent. Skills, knowledge and aptitudes D Ability to lead commissions for the full range of Civil & Infrastructure disciplines, e.g. commercial and housing developments. Ability to form relationships with clients, staff and senior colleagues. Site development Infrastructure design. Flood Risk Assessment.
Highways design and production of section 38 and 278 agreements. Ability to use competently the main Civil & Infrastructure codes of practice and Building Regulations. Undertake drainage assessments and designs and production of section 104 agreements. Must be able to demonstrate relevant up to date CPD records. Must be able to work unsupervised to a high quality. Able to meet tight deadlines. A responsive, constructive and flexible attitude towards working arrangements within a team environment. Good organisational skills. Proficient in using common IT applications (Microsoft Access, xcel, Word and Project) and Civil & Infrastructure ngineering software. Must be familiar with the risks and hazards associated with asbestos. Must have relevant construction and health and safety knowledge/legislation. Able to demonstrate business acumen.
