1 Marketing Prospectus ACUA is the association for institutions of higher education in the U.S. and across the globe with internal audit departments. Founded in 958, we are the indispensable resource for education, knowledge exchange, best practices and networking for higher education auditing, compliance and risk management professionals. ACUA focuses solely on higher education. We provide members with specialized training, information and resources to assist with performing financial, operational and information systems audits, evaluating internal controls, investigating fraud, identifying trends in regulatory matters and conducting risk assessments that are specific to colleges and universities. ACUA currently has more than 500 Institutional members reaching more than 2,500 internal auditors in the U.S. and internationally. OPPORTUNITIES ACUA s ACUA offers two conferences per year, the Midyear held in March or April and the Annual held in September. These events offer members exceptional professional development and networking opportunities that can t be found anywhere else in the industry. Advertising in the College and University Auditor Journal ACUA publishes an on-line journal three times per year. It is accessible to all ACUA member institutions and their member designees, approx. 2,500 individuals. ACUA Mailing List Mailing addresses (not including or phone numbers) of ACUA members and/or conference attendees are available for purchase. The list is provided in Excel format and includes all of ACUA s Institutional Representatives (approx. 550) ACUA Vendor Directory The ACUA website contains a Vendor Directory in its Resources area. The directory contains the logo, contact information and a short description for each company. ACUA Focus Groups ACUA offers companies the ability to ask for the participation of our members in focus groups during our Midyear and Annual s. 2 Midyear The ACUA Midyear is designed as a 2.5 day intensive course in which participants select one of five or more tracks on which to focus. Tracks typically focus on topics such as Fraud, Compliance, Audit Essentials, IT, or training on audit software. The Midyear often draws more staff auditors than the Annual, but it also beneficial for auditors at all levels. 3 Annual ACUA s Annual, held each September, is a four day conference featuring nationally known keynote tracks on a variety of topics. Tracks typically cover such topics as Emerging Issues, Professional Development, Research & Compliance, Information Technology, Enterprise Risk Management, Fraud & Investigations and Specialized Knowledge & Roundtables. Networking opportunities are integrated throughout the conference to provide participants the opportunity to exchange information with colleagues and with vendors. Any other use of the mailing list is specifically prohibited unless ACUA grants permission for such use in writing and renter pays the appropriate fee for such use. The mailing list renter shall use the mailing list provided by ACUA only for pre-approved promotional mailings. Please provide a sample along with the signed and completed form. The mailing list renter agrees that the promotional piece supplied for approval with this agreement is the piece(s) that will comprise the mailing. All lists must be prepaid: no invoices will be sent. The renter shall treat ACUA s membership list and all mailing labels as confidential information. The renter shall not under any circumstances sell, loan, or circulate such membership lists to any third party, or use such membership lists for any other purpose. The mailing list renter agrees that in utilizing ACUA s membership list, he/she will not disclose, transfer, duplicate, reproduce or retain any portion of the list in any form, by photocopying, entering into a database, or otherwise duplicating by any means. The mailing list renter agrees to reimburse ACUA for all costs which ACUA may incur in enjoining unauthorized parties from using the membership list in all cases where such unauthorized parties gained access to the membership through the renter listed or any of the renter s agents or employees. The mailing list renter agrees ACUA will have the right to monitor the use of the membership and conference attendee list. Signature indicates acceptance of the above conditions and constitutes a contract between ACUA and the above stated mailing list renter. 5 Focus Groups ACUA offers companies the ability to ask for the participation of our members in focus groups during our Midyear and Annual s. $2,500 session at Midyear or Annual Focus groups must be scheduled so that they are not in conflict with other conference sessions or activities. Groups may be scheduled during lunch or before or after the conclusion of educational sessions each day. Fees do not include any amenities other than meeting space. Food and beverage, audiovisual equipment, etc. are the responsibility of the company holding the focus group. ACUA will distribute flyers or provide an attendee mailing list to assist the company with soliciting participants for the focus group.
