Print wirelessly, share files between devices, and stream media using yur Rku HD n yur wn private netwrk with WPA encryptin. Yur wireless SSID (Service Set Identifier, r wireless LAN ID) and yur WPA (WiFi Prtected Access) passphrase are prvided fr yu in the bx belw. Keep them in a safe place fr future reference. D nt share these with thers, as this is what prtects the privacy f yur netwrk frm utsiders. Wireless SSID: WPA Passphrase: 1.0 Cnnecting the Elite Hme Office Ruter t the SptOn netwrk Status light 4 Valid Cnnectin Status light 3 Wireless Signal 1. Place the Elite Hme Office ruter in an area where it will nt be disturbed r drpped. Since the ruter is wireless, yu can place it in any cnvenient lcatin in yur apartment. If yu are cnnecting any wired Ethernet device(s), place the ruter in a cnvenient lcatin near yur wired Ethernet device(s). 2. Cnnect any wired Ethernet device(s) t the LAN prts. 3. Pwer up the Elite Hme Office ruter and wait 2 t 3 minutes. When the ruter is fully peratinal, the first, third, and furth status lights will turn green (see Figure 1). Status Light 3: Wireless Signal (WLAN) is present when displaying green. Status Light 4: Slid green: excellent signal. Flashing green: gd signal 2.0 Cnnecting yur Windws XP PC t the Wireless Netwrk 1. On yur cmputer, pint yur cursr t the Wireless Netwrk icn in the tl tray in the lwer right crner f yur desktp (see Figure 2). When prmpted, enter yur WPA passphrase prvided n Page 1 (see Figure 4). 6. Click Cnnect. Enter yur WPA key supplied by Spt On Netwrks Click Cnnect Figure 4. 4 Figure 5. Cnnected t yur Elite Hme Office Yur cmputer is nw cnnected. Nw, launch yur brwser and start surfing! 3.0 Rku HD Netwrk Setup 3.1 Cnnect using an Ethernet Cable 1. First, g thrugh the Quick Setup fr yur Rku t cnnect it t yur TV. 2. Using the Ethernet cable included in the bx, cnnect ne end t the Ethernet prt n the back f yur Rku HD device and the ther end f the cable t ne f the LAN prts n the back f the Elite Hme Office ruter. 3. Bring the Rku screen up n yur TV and press the Hme Buttn at the tp f yur remte t make the Hme Menu appear. 4. Select Settings. 5. Select Netwrk. 6. Chse repeat guided setup r guided setup if the Rku has nt been set up yet. Click wired 7. On the next screen (shwn abve), chse wired. 8. The device will test the cnnectin and, if successful, g back t the Hme Menu. 9. Yur Rku device is nw cnnected and ready t stream vide! 3.2 Cnnect Wirelessly 1. If yu are unable t set yur Elite Hme Office ruter clse enugh t yur Rku HD t cnnect using the prvided Ethernet cable, yu can cnnect it wirelessly using the supplied SSID and WPA passphrase prvided n Page Bring the Rku screen up n yur TV and press the Hme Buttn at the tp f yur remte t make the Hme Menu appear. 3. 5 5. Chse repeat guided setup r guided setup if the Rku has nt been set up yet. Click wireless 6. On the next screen (shwn abve), chse wireless. 7. When asked t chse a wireless netwrk, select the wireless netwrk SSID crrespnding t yur Elite Hme Office (prvided n Page 1). Scrll thrugh available netwrks t chse yur netwrk. It shuld have the lck symbl indicating an encrypted signal. 8. When prmpted, enter yur WPA passphrase (als prvided n Page 1). 9. The device will test the cnnectin and, if successful, g back t the Hme Menu. If the test fails, try testing it ne mre time because it may take a few secnds t authenticate n the netwrk. 10.
