2 Course 1: Getting Started on Facebook for Business This practical session is an introduction to Facebook. Working hands on in our IT suite we will work together step by step to set up a profile for your business, and help you to understand the core functions of your facebook business page. You will need to bring with you: An address you are happy to use to set up your business page Your company logo and or images you would like to use to promote your business (preferably on a memory stick) Organisations will benefit from a greater return from their Facebook campaigns by taking a strategic approach and being reassured that they are following best practice. They will also see how social media campaigns can be measured and improved. Why Facebook? Understanding the site & audience Creating a page for business on Facebook (& understanding the difference between your personal account and business page) How to upload profile image, cover images and photo albums How to make updates & what to talk about How to add other users as administrators of your facebook page Creating Facebook events and promotional offers Inviting contacts to like your page Receiving and responding to messages Policing content - Privacy, blocking and deleting Tagging users in photographs and updates Liking and engaging with other businesses Understanding Edgerank and Facebook Insights Learning outcomes Following this course you will be able to plan and execute Facebook campaigns from start to finish (including analysis), understand the options available within Facebook, be able to build and manage Facebook pages for your organisation.
3 Course 2: Hootsuite and Smart Social Media Have you got social media channels that run dry because there just aren t enough hours in the day? Do you need to re-group, re-focus and build a strategic plan for your digital marketing? Are you lost for words and drawing a blank when it comes to adding interesting content? This informative day will offer you practical solutions to maximise social media marketing opportunity, and ensure you are using a little time to maximum effect. Organisations will benefit from time management techniques that will maximise productivity in relation to social media. They will also learn best practice techniques for building engaging content and linking social media activity together. Building a strategic plan for your social media marketing Understanding which content is evergreen and which is time sensitive Setting up a free Hootsuite account to manage up to 5 social media accounts (FREE) centrally Using Hootsuite to plan pre-timed content Understanding how to use IFTTT to set up If this then that formulas to trigger automatic chain reactions on social media Setting up Google Alerts, Scoop.it and Swayy.co to stimulate content ideas Following this course you will have a Hootsuite account set up ready to pre-time content to go out through your social media channels. You will understand how to use free tools to build interesting and engaging content for your social media and have a strategic plan in place for your online marketing.
4 Course 3: Maximise Linkedin for Business This course is for people who are developing their use of LinkedIn, either as an individual or as a business. It is a hands on course providing practical tips on how to use linkedin effectively. Ideal for individuals or organisations looking to building business to business connections or utilize linkedin for recruitment. You will need to bring with you: address you re happy to use to set up an account/your log in details if you have registered You will discover how LinkedIn can work better for you and your business. Organisations will learn whether a LinkedIn strategy will help them achieve their marketing goals and understand the resources required to do it. What is linkedin for? Getting your profile right and being found Practical tips on using LinkedIn for acquisition of new clients and understanding and engaging with existing ones. 5 Course 4: Twitter for Business Open to those who have signed up to Twitter, but don t know what to do next this hands on course offers practical guidance on how to use twitter effectively for marketing and PR. You will discover #hashtags and build your following while understanding how Twitter fits in to your wider marketing strategy. You will need to bring with you: address you re happy to use to set up an account/your log in details if you have registered You will discover how Twitter can work better for you and your business. Organisations will learn how a Twitter strategy could help them achieve their marketing goals and understand best practice including hashtagging and relationship building. Why Twitter? Understanding the site & audience Health checking (or setting up) your twitter account How to post tweets & what to talk about Understanding how and when to reply, retweet or favourite Building followers Building Twitter lists and how to use them Understanding #Hashtags and trends, and using them effectively Getting Re-tweeted Picking up on PR opportunities Linking Twitter to your wider Marketing strategy Following this course you will be able to plan and execute Twitter campaigns from start to finish, understand best practice within Twitter and build a following. 6 Course 5: Blogging for Business This practical session will show you how to set up a blog for your organisation. Understand how to build your free blog using Blogger, how to build interesting and engaging content, and basic blogging etiquette. Ideal for individuals or organisations looking for ways to showcase their business expertise through marketing. You will need a gmail address to set up blogger, so bring your log in details if you already have an account. You will discover how Blogging can be used to showcase your business expertise and support your SEO strategy. Having been given practical guidance using Google s Blogger platform you will have a blog template set up ready to publish ongoing content. Why blog for business? What am I blogging about? Create a newsletter, offer s or professional standard templates to keep in touch with your customers ensuring they return to buy again. Introduction to success factors for marketing. Using mailchimp to design templates. Adding contacts to mailchimp -Segmentation and targeting Campaign planning and goal setting for campaigns. Structuring an to maximise response. Copywriting.
