The show is a great opportunity to connect business to business with hundreds of suppliers. The show will be open 11 AM to 6 PM on September 14 th and 10 AM to 3 PM on September 15 th. There is a kick off luncheon which is the ISM-NE meeting for the month of September. The speaker is Jenny Vance, president of LeadJen. Her topic deals with how to focus on must do tasks vs. those that can be outsourced to be an efficient and profitable entrepreneur. There will also be seminars both days of the event. Be sure to attend and invite your vendors and suppliers as well. If you need tickets, contact Tom Radcliff at tom.radcliff@physiciansmutual.com. We also need VOLUNTEERS for the ISM-NE booth. 2 O ur big event of the year is coming up this month the sponsoring of the Omaha Products Show, September to be exact. It will be held this year at CenturyLink (formally Qwest) Center Omaha. Our September general meeting will be held at the Omaha Product Show Luncheon on 9/14 and it will be a free lunch to our members. The 12 Noon Opening Luncheon featured speaker will be Jenny Vance from Indianapolis, President of LeadJen. Please send Debi your RSVP by 9/9/11. Our time is precious But we owe it to ourselves, to the company that we work for, to stay informed on technology and companies about us. No other place will give you the opportunity to see the variety of companies the Product Show has under one roof. We encourage you to come, bring along others (production or industrial engineering, etc ) and let all the exhibitors know that you re a part of ISM-Nebraska and thank them for participating in this year s show. 4 Omaha Products Show September 14, 2011 Luncheon Speaker Jenny Vance is the president and co-founder of LeadJen; a lead generation company focused on helping B2B executives get value out of every prospecting call. This leads to a predictable and sustainable sales pipeline. Vance co-founded Indianapolis-based LeadJen in 2004 leveraging her experience and success with outbound marketing campaigns, inside sales and lead generation. Under her leadership, LeadJen has developed into a multi-million dollar company serving more than 200 clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies. LeadJen serves as an outsourced inside sales department for companies in the United States, Europe and Australia. Vance co-founded Jesubi in 2006, a web-based software solution designed to improve prospecting productivity and provide detailed analysis and reporting on market penetration, industry response rates, prospecting effectiveness and campaign efficiency. The first version of Jesubi was used by LeadJen, and within 30 days productivity improved from 7.2 hourly touches (calls, s, visits) to 17 touches per hour, an increase of 200 percent. Prior to launching LeadJen, Vance was the director of marketing and inside sales and oink Communications (acquired by Everypath, Inc.). She developed and implemented a set of best practices responsible for 50 percent of all new customer wins and added $2.5M into the company s sales pipeline within 6 months during Prior to oink, Vance served in numerous managerial roles involving marketing and inside sales at Aprimo, Incorporated. Vance is a graduate of DePauw University, Greencastle, I, with a bachelor s degree in Economics. In 2010, the Sales Lead Management Association identified Vance as one of the top 50 most influential people. She is also in the 2011 class of 40 under 40 identified by the Indiana Business Journal.

6 The ISM Website Corner Did you know that, as a member of ISM, you have access to 45 YEARS of articles from the Journal of Supply Chain Management? Log in then follow the path: Home > Publications > Journal of Supply Chain Management > Article Index. Scroll through the list of topics from Academic and General Institution Purchasing to Ethics to Transportation and Logistics. They even have book reviews. To the upper right on the page, you can order a subscription, or click the link and view the 2011 issues. This is a huge library of information, all organized by ISM, and available at your finger tips. The ISM-NE Fall Seminar Approaches Please remember to sign up to attend the 2011 ISM-NE Fall Seminar by September 16 th, before the early registration discount expires!! After that, the price goes up to $75. We have heard great feedback from members that have heard Mark Grieco s lectures before. ISM said that he is one of their most popular speakers for their public seminars. The topic of Contract Basics covers review of contracts, understanding the terms in contracts, as well as understanding the consequences for missing details that could later haunt you. The course offers a lot of valuable information, even for seasoned veterans. Get signed up soon and we will see you there!! THE CPSM EXAM REVIEW SESSIONS CONTINUE We still need CPM s to sign up for the CPSM Bridge Review Session. Any CPMs interested in attending Bridge Exam Review sessions, and have not yet signed up, please contact Tom Radcliff at tom.radcliff@physiciansmutual.com as soon as possible. If you would rather attend a review session during the work week, we will set up a new session, but we need at least five attendees. Sessions for Exams 1, 2, & 3 continue in Omaha and Lincoln. You do not need to take the exams in order, so feel free to register for any of the remaining sessions. From what we have heard, everyone attending the sessions that has taken the ISM CPSM Exams has passed! Please let Tom know if you have any questions.

9 CPSM EXAM REVIEW COURSES for 2011 ISM-NE is sponsoring CPSM Exam Review Courses for The cost is $125 per session for ISM members (any affiliate). on-member Rates: $305 /Module or $425 for 3 reviews in 2011 calendar year (Bridge Review not included; Or on-ism member can add $180 to become ISM- E member and pay member pricing. Registration form and payment due 2 weeks prior to the review you are attending or 2 weeks preceding the first review if you are attending all 3. At a minimum, you will need to purchase the ISM Professional Series and the CPSM Study Guide from the ISM web site. You will need to read them prior to attending the review sessions. Additionally, ISM has other supplemental reading that they strongly suggest you read before taking the CPSM exams. Remember, these are review sessions and attending these sessions does not guarantee successful completion of the exams. There is no substitute for studying!
