This is an introductory guide on how to setup Outlook Express with a new email service.

1 This is an introductory guide on how to setup Outlook Express with a new service. By following these basic steps you will be able to quickly setup your Outlook Express with your Highway 1 (Global Dial or EON) hosted . Please note that you ll need to contact us to create the new address. You can then use Outlook to access it. Step 1. Open Outlook Express 1. Open Outlook Express. 2. Click on 'Tools' in the top toolbar. 3. Click on 'Accounts' Page 1 of 10 Ph:

Step 5. Server Settings (POP3) If you use POP3 then complete this step. If you use IMAP skip to step 6. 1. Select '..incoming mail server is a' POP3.

Step 9. Enable SMTP Authentication We require you to authenticate (send your username and password) with our server before you can send email from your computer via Highway 1.

This prevents non-highway 1 subscribers sending from our servers. To configure this do the following in Outlook Express: 1. Highlight the new account you created. By default it is called "mail.highway1.com.au" 2. Click on the "Properties" button on the left. 3. Click on the "Servers" Tab 4. Check the "My Server Requires Authentication" Page 8 of 10 Ph:

Under SMTP section, check the box next to "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)." 3. Under the POP3 section, check the box next to "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)." 4.
