1 File No : KBITS-5-FC Date : TENDER NOTICE FOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN, PLAN AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT FOR PROPOSED INCUBATION CENTRE AT JALAHALLI METRO STATION The Karnataka Biotechnology and Information Technology Services (KBITS), Department of IT & BT, Government of Karnataka invites sealed tenders from the leading Design Consultancy Firms having sufficient experience as mentioned in tender document and proven ability for providing Interior Design, Internal fit-out design, drawings and blue prints and preliminary estimate for the proposed Hardware Product Incubation Center at Jalahalli Metro Station, Bangalore. Work: Providing Internal Design, Concepts, Plans, and Drawings, and Project management including bill of quantities (financial estimates) and tendering for a twostorey Incubation Center to be set up at Bangalore, utilizing 4,180 Sq. Ft. of built-up an area across 2 floors. The building has been identified. Site Layout and building plans will be shared on request. 2 Phone Number: /8 TENDER SCOPE Design Consultant Firms / Architecture Firms are hereby invited to submit technical and financial bids for Consultancy services required for development of Jalahalli metro station incubation center which could form the basis for future negotiations and conclusion of agreement of contract between the firm, and the management at Karnataka Biotechnology & Information Technology Services (KBITS). The purpose of this assignment is to obtain Design Consulting and Engineering services for Floor plans/layout preparation, project management for a two storied structure covering plinth area of 4180 sq ft, Working drawings (HVAC, civil, electrical, sanitary and water supply), BoQs and the Financial Estimates. The scope of work to include concept / design, Basic Engineering, Detail Engineering, Detailing of design with 2D and Integration of all engineering details, Estimation for floating of tenders, Procurement assistance, coordination and supervision of implementation by vendors for handover of the project (including snagging and warranty period). The packages to be detailed are Interior, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Furniture, Services, etc. The rate should be quoted in Rupees per square meter or square feet basis for entire project scope. Application should be accompanied by company profile, list of projects completed and any other relevant details. The Consultant is required to prepare plans following principles of building science (Vaasthu), working drawings for construction, fire fighting details, estimates, and structural designs and drawings for civil, electrical, water supply and sanitary arrangements (additional if any). The plans shall include Eco-friendly, sustainable, cost effective, fast constructive technology concepts and it shall satisfy the Pollution Control Board codes. i) Electrical layout: Preparation of electrical layouts showing the entire distribution system including internal and external electrification details and designs of substation etc. Page 2 of 5

Clear evidences like photographs, certificates, documents should be submitted with this bid. a) Experience of consultancy services in architectural drawings, structural designs and preparation of estimates for office complex and machine shop in the last 5 financial years. b) Positioning of Company/Firm, Legal Structure. 4 c) The firm should submit the bio-data of the engagement managers (2) to be assigned for this project. The bidder shall submit 2 separate envelopes for the projects. (1) First Envelope with title "Hardware Product Incubation Center at Jalahalli Metro Station" containign the Architectural design (Two designs) as per the Page 4 of 5

5 specifications of the Tender scope mentioned above and supporting documents for the eligibility criteria. (2) They shall also submit in this envelope EMD amount for Rs. 4,000/- in the form of DD in favour of MD, KBITS. (3) Second Envelope with title Financial quotation for designs shall be submitted in format as given below: FINANCIAL QUOTES FORM FOR SUBMISSION: 1. " Hardware Product Incubation Center at Jalahalli Metro Station, " Design No. (1) (2) Cost inclusive of taxes Signature Bidder name EVALUATION METHOD AND PAYMENTS : A committee formed by KBITS will be the deciding authority on the marking on the designs. The selection will be done on quality cum cost basis (QCBS) with 70% weightage for designs and 30% weightage for cost. The firm who's design is selected through above mentioned mechanism will be given work order and payment shall be made as per the quoted value for the design selected. There shall not be any payment made to the vendors who's designs are not selected through the QCBS method. KBITS reserves right to reject any or all Tenders received without assigning any reasons thereof. Page 5 of 5
