3 black olive catering bio Mark Olive, aka The Black Olive, has been a chef for over 25 years and has become a well know Australian celebrity with his charismatic style and creative approach to food, starring in his own television show, The Outback Cafe, and a host of cooking, lifestyle and travel shows nationally and globally. Mark s passion for fusing native food and culture with modern lifestyle cooking has led to a huge international profile, and the creation of Black Olive Catering, an indigenous catering company in North Melbourne, Victoria. It was in 2008 that a long-term partnership of talented chefs established Black Olive Catering, specialising in Mark s contemporary use of indigenous products. Together they bring over 40 years of experience in the food and restaurant industries. Black Olive s gourmet cuisine is suitable for any meeting, function or off site event. Mark and the team at Black Olive Catering designed their menu to create new flavours based on the herbs, fruits and meats indigenous to Australia i.e. crocodile, emu, kangaroo, lemon myrtle, bush tomato and wattleseed, to name a few. All the native produce is sourced via projects which promote the Australian native food industry, by developing a network of production sites within traditional Aboriginal communities. Black Olive Catering is now the sole Victorian distributor of this Outback Pride range of bush foods. 4 purchasing native produce Mark Olive has worked in partnership with Mike and Gayle Quarmby and Reedy Creek Nursery since 2002, utilising their product range and endorsing its place within the Australian Native Food Industry. Mark Olive s Outback Cafe cookbook showcases this range of native herbs and spices sourced directly from indigenous community farms, and the positive, far-reaching impact it has in each region. In early October 2010, Black Olive Catering became the Victorian distributor of the Outback Pride range of bush foods, joining a national distribution model. Now this range will be even more accessible to wholesalers, retailers and individuals throughout Victoria. Due to seasonal or supplier shortages Black Olive Catering reserves the right to alter or adapt menus or services. invoicing terms corporate catering Net 7 days from end of the month functions & events Date of invoice payment For your convenience the following payment options are accepted: Visa or Mastercard Direct Deposit/EFT Company Cheque Cash on Delivery delivery Free delivery within the Melbourne City area; from Spencer Street to Racecourse Road, to Alexander Parade to Hoddle Street to Flinders Street. A fee will be charged for delivery outside of this area. delivery times Weekdays between 7.30am and 5.30pm.
