3 DEAR SKI FRIENDS, On behalf of the International Ski Federation (FIS), the Norwegian Ski Association (NSF), the Association of the Promotion of Skiing and the FIS World Cup Organising Committee, we have the pleasure of welcoming you all to the FIS World Cup Nordic Skiing 2015 in Holmenkollen. Holmenkollen is known to have the most enthusiastic winter sports spectators in the world. We hope to show you once again that this is true. 5 FIS WORLD CUP NORDIC SKIING 2015 GENERAL INFORMATION ACCREDITATION/SERVICE CENTRE The Service Centre will be at Holmenkollen Park Hotel. Opening hours: March March Accreditation for teams and athletes are similar to this season s World Cup event, using team, service and athlete vests/bibs to gain access to the Cross Country courses and stadium, and accreditation cards for the Ski Jumping arena. TRANSPORTATION There will be a shuttle bus service between Radisson Blu Park Fornebu and the venue. The bus schedule will be available at the Service Desk at the team hotels and in the Sub Race Offices. The team hotels also have a transport service desk with further information about transportation matters. PARKING Parking is limited at the venue, and will be controlled by parking passes that are required to be displayed in each parked car. Parking permits will be distributed according to the size of the teams. The parking permits and driving permits will be available at the Team Captains Meeting. For Cross Country the FIS parking permits will be valid. ENTRIES The final entries for each competition must be delivered to the Race Office/Sub Race Office no later than 2 hours prior to the Team Captains Meeting. TEAM CAPTAINS MEETINGS All Team Captains meetings will take place at Holmenkollen Park Hotel. English will be the official language at the meetings. For the meeting schedule please see the program on page 2 or the specific program for your sport. TEAM CABINS The team/wax cabins for Cross Country are located in the service building and near the ski test area. Wax trucks will be placed at the big parking lot above the service building. The cabins for Nordic Combined are located behind (west side) the Cross Country stadium and on the west side of the Ski Jumping tower. A tent for changing clothes will also be available for Nordic Combined close to the cabins in the Ski Jumping area. Team/wax cabins for Ski Jumping are located behind the Ski Jumping tower. The cabins are guarded 24 hours a day. Waxing is only permitted in rooms specified for this purpose. TEAM CAFÉ The team café for Cross-Country is located in the service building. The service building has all facilities such as toilets, internet and showers. 5

6 The team café facilities an the Holmenkollen Ski Jumping hill will be in the lift lobby. There will be mineral water, fruit, waffles and a light meal in the team cafés. Lunch will be served at the hotels. Lunch boxes will also be available at request (must be ordered at the hotel desk the evening before). START/RESULT LISTS The lists will be available at the team hotels, the Race Office, the Press Centre and on the following websites: and SPORTS SERVICE The Sports Service Desk is located at the Holmenkollen Park Hotel. in the Service Centre on the 2nd floor above the reception. For parking passes, FIS Family tickets and questions concerning training, wax cabins and facilities for the athletes/teams please contact our staff at the Sports Service Desk. Opening hours: March March Team Attachés will be supporting the teams with their arrivals and departures, providing administrative and linguistic support and supporting the teams in other areas if needed. Each Team Captain/ Chief of Delegation will determine the specific responsibilities and duties of their Team Attaché in accordance to the duties mentioned above. TRAINING FACILITIES Cross Country: Official training will take place according to the program above. For training earlier in the week, skiing on the competition courses will depend on the snow and weather conditions and course preparation & rigging (fencing, TV, banners etc.). However, there are hundreds of kilometres of ski courses adjacent to Holmenkollen, and access will be provided (contact Sport Service Desk for information upon arrival). INDOOR TRAINING FACILITIES: Facilities for playing volleyball/basketball, are available at Heminghallen (a sports hall), 5 minutes drive from the Holmenkollen venue. Address: Gulleråsveien 5. 7 WEATHER FORECAST Up to the start of the races, the weather information will be updated according to the regulations (see also the web site for weather forecasts). A representative from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute will be at the venue during the events to carry out weather updates. PRIZE-MONEY The prize-money will be paid electronically and in Euros. All financial matters (prize-money, hotel costs/reimbursements) will be handled at the finance office adjacent to the Service Centre. ACCOMMODATION The official team hotels are Holmenkollen Park Hotel and Radisson Blu Park Fornebu. There will be an Information Desk at each of the team hotels. Representatives from our transportation service will also be available at the hotels. Our volunteers at the Service Desk and the hotel staff will do their utmost to make your stay and preparations for the competitions as comfortable as possible.
