2 Welcome to Holmenkollen! On behalf of the Norwegian Biathlon Federation and the Organizing Committee, I warmly welcome you to final of the E.ON IBU World Cup Biathlon 2014 in Holmenkollen, Oslo. The pace, excitement and precision of biathlon are the most important ingredients that will make this World Cup yet another festival for both athletes and spectators. Together with the many volunteers, we will do our utmost to provide the media with good working conditions. This short distance will ease the logistics for accredited media and located your right in the center off all the action. The media center also has a service counter, start lists and result service, SIWIDATA terminals, wireless internet, TV, secure lockers for photographers and catering. Press conferences will find place in the media center. Lockers for Photographers We have secure lockers for use by photographers. You can obtain a key for a locker at the service counter when you leave a deposit of 20 or NOK 200. Press Conferences: Press conferences will be held for the top three ranked athletes, immediately after the flower and price giving ceremony. English is the official language for the press conference. The OC provides simultaneous translation of the Team Captains Meetings in German and Russian. World Cup trophies Right after the price giving ceremony on Sunday 23.3 the best woman and the best man in the total score will be presented. The rest of the total score winners will be awarded from in the VIP tent. Accredited media is welcome. 6 Accommodation Transport and Parking During the World Cup, our transport office will do its best to bring you back and forth between the hotel and the arena. The transport office is located same place as last year, in the red house vis-à-vis the Skiforeningen house. Parking permits will be handed out together with your accreditation. We are pleased to offer you Rica Oslo Hotel as our preferred Media Hotel. Rica Oslo Hotel is a first class business hotel centrally located on Karl Johan s gate in the heart of Oslo, with only two minutes walk from the Central Station and the Gardermoen Airport rail link. There will be two kind of bibs; Regular Photo Bib and High Priority Photo Bib. High priority gives you access to the position at the shooting range and will be handed out to photo agencies firstly. There will also be a few wild cards available at the media center every morning as come first first served. All bibs are available at the media center. To obtain the bib, you will have to leave a deposit of 20 or NOK 200.
