2 About 3K Pet Walk Join thousands of animal lovers on Saturday, October 11, 2014 for the 24 th Annual 3K Pet Walk in beautiful downtown St. Petersburg to benefit the SPCA Tampa Bay (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Tampa Bay). The walk and festivities will kick-off in Vinoy Park at 9am. During the 1.8-mile walk, enjoy the gorgeous scenery of the park, the bay, and St. Petersburg's historic city streets. We are walking for the cause to end animal cruelty and to raise money to Rescue, Rehab and Re-home more than 10,000 animals that come through our doors every year. 3K Pet Walk is the SPCA Tampa Bay s largest annual fundraiser and has grown tremendously since its inception 24 years ago. Last year s walk was attended by more than 3,000 people and double that number of pets and raised $211,000! Owning or bringing a pet is not required, you can walk in honor or in memory of a beloved pet! Its more than just a Walk, it s a community party and we can t wait to see you there! There Are Three Ways You Can Participate as a Sponsor: Corporate Sponsorship In-Kind/Underwriting Sponsorship Form a Company Team and Participate In the past 23 years, 3K Pet Walk has raised more than $3.7 million for the animals at SPCA Tampa Bay. By supporting this event, your business will gain exposure to pet-owners and animal lovers, one of the fastest growing markets in the country. Look around pet boutiques, parks and bakeries, and yes, even hotels are becoming increasingly pet-friendly. An indisputable fact: pets are becoming a more and more important part of the family. and pet lovers are enthusiastic about patronizing businesses that recognize this special relationship. Causes are important to consumers. According to the 2010 Cone Cause Evolution Study, 90% of consumers want companies to tell them the ways they are supporting causes and the community, and 79% of consumers are more likely to switch from one brand to another if the other brand is associated with a good cause. 15 In-Kind/Underwriting Sponsorships We strive to minimize event costs so the maximum amount of proceeds can directly benefit the animals. We appreciate your help in providing a product or service at no cost so that more dollars are available to support pet rescue & adoptions efforts, emergency relief, spay & neuter assistance and other lifesaving work. Approved In-Kind donors will receive a logo d link on the 3K Pet Walk website and company name/logo listed in walk day program. Benefits will be customized based upon the amount of the in-kind donation. 16 Form a Company or Office Team Becoming a 3K Pet Walk sponsor is just the first step in helping to provide loving forever homes for the animals here at SPCA Tampa Bay. To truly get the full benefit of your sponsorship we encourage you to form a Company Team and set a goal to become a Leader of the Pack. It s easy and will allow your employees to raise funds and help support a cause that is no doubt close to their heart. SPCA will provide you with a Sponsor and Corporate Team PR/web/eblast/social media activation toolkit to help you spread the word to your employees and to the public! A Team is simply a group of two (2) or more people that together raise a minimum of $1,000. 19 3K Pet Walk Event Information, Rules, Regulations and Day-Of Instructions 3K Pet Walk event hours: 9:00am 1:00pm in Vinoy Park. Your exhibit space can be set up on Saturday, Oct. 11 th from 6:45am 8:15am. Set up MUST be completed by 8:15am per City of St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation Department. Upon arrival, you MUST stop by the Vendor/Sponsor Check-In Tent. From there you will be directed to your booth location. We have assigned you a booth # that you will receive when you arrive the morning of the event. You may not be able to unload near your space depending on the location; be prepared to transport your things to your space. If you drive your car up on the grass to unload, you must unload, remove your car and THEN set up. You cannot keep your vehicle on grass while setting up. Due to the large number of vendors, we will not be able to supply extra volunteers to assist you with unloading and loading, so please make sure you have enough personnel and equipment to handle this. Electrical spaces for vendor booths are very limited and are not guaranteed. The fee for electric is $75, paid at time your secure your vendor booth. If you require power at your booth, you must contact Janet Valles at prior to registering your vendor booth online. Exhibitors must provide their own electrical cords. 100 ft cords may be needed. These electrical spaces are available on a first come first served basis. You may not sublet your booth space in whole or part. You are also not allowed to share your booth with another organization or company, one company per booth fee. All spaces are 10 x 10. SPCA Tampa Bay will provide tables and chairs (excludes Rescue Groups). Each exhibitor is responsible for their own tent. A 10 x 10 pop up tent is supplied for 3K Pet Walk Sponsors at the $5,000 level and above only. Rescue Groups MUST BE PRE-APPROVED by SPCA to attend. They will be assigned to one designated shaded area in the park to set up on a first come, first serve basis. There will be plenty of space, as we anticipate 20+ rescue groups to be in attendance. Please note: no tables, chairs or tents will be provided to Rescue Groups. No donations permitted to be solicited at your booth. Parking is available in the main parking lot located next to Vinoy Park (next to the swimming pool & rec center), at the parking lot located at Northshore Park one block north of Vinoy Park (next to the tennis courts), and in the BayWalk parking garage located behind Beach Drive. Parking is also available in the Pier parking lot (Pelican Parking lot) for $3 all day. General parking is available along Beach Drive, Northshore Drive and side streets next to the park as well. Parking is on a first come first serve basis. Please obey all parking rules, metered spots, and traffic ordinances. SPCA Tampa Bay is not responsible for any parking violation fees. Sponsors at the $5,000 level and above will be contacted prior to the walk regarding your reserved parking. No loud generators No refunds due to weather or acts of nature. No refunds for your cancellation. The event is scheduled to end at 1:00PM. Breakdown of your booth/tent cannot begin until 1:00PM. Please make sure your area is clean before you leave.
