Major duties include communicating the mission and vision of the College to all constituent groups, developing and sustaining a camaraderie between and among Board members, faculty, students, and staff, which encourages a team approach in the operation of the institution, and providing wise stewardship of financial resources, which includes accountability, planning, and ongoing assessment of the institution s fiscal well-being. Supports teaching and learning efforts toward the accomplishment of institutional and program student learning outcomes. Responsible for advocates with the State legislature, Chancellor s Office, and federal officials to identify and develop additional revenue sources. Leads efforts in the Accreditation process and the strategic planning process with involvement of all college constituent groups. Maintains open communications with the media, the campus community, and the Board. Supports a climate of campus wide and community involvement and promotes collegiality and cohesiveness that reflect the core values of the institution. Promotes college development activities, including donor cultivation efforts through the Shasta College Foundation. Supports the needs of a diverse student population by developing and maintaining effective student services programs. Advocates for student support programs that improve access and success of under-prepared students. Vice President of Administrative Services March 2007 to August 2011 Major duties include oversight of the Business Office (including payroll), Physical Plant division (includes custodial, grounds, and transportation departments), Food Services, Campus Safety, and Hazardous Materials, approximately 80 full-time and part-time staff. This position chairs the Sustainability Committee and the Budget Committee and serves as a member of College Council, Facilities Planning Committee and the President s Cabinet. Other important tasks include coordination of the District s budget development process, review of all District contracts, participation on the negotiations team, administration of the District s risk management program, development and implementation of District policies and

2 RESUME Page 2 procedures, participation in writing self-study reports for accreditation, and oversight of all major capital projects. Other duties include: attending Board meetings and presenting budget updates and action items, assuring compliance with, and interpretation of, laws and regulations including those associated with bond compliance, assuring timely completion of the District s annual audit, and representing the District at statewide meetings for property and liability insurance and the retiree health benefit joint powers authority. Trinity International University, California Regional Center Trinity Law School and Trinity Graduate School July 1996 to February 2007 Executive Director (5/204 to 2/2007) Promoted from the following positions: Associate Dean of Administration (7/2000 to 5/2004) Assistant Dean of Administration (9/1998 to 7/2000) Director of Enrollment Services (7/1996 to 9/1998) Major duties included overseeing the Admissions, Registrar's, Business and Financial Aid offices. Additional areas of oversight included facilities management, security services and the bookstore. Responsible for leading the staff of the center, planning the budget, strategic planning, Master's and Doctoral application processing, serving on the Admissions Committee, serving on the Faculty Senate of the law school, serving on the President s University Advisory Cabinet, interviewing prospective students, overseeing and evaluating several full-time and part-time staff members, acting as Registrar, and assisting in the preparation of both annual and self-study reports for accrediting bodies (Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California, North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Department of Education). Other duties included planning course schedules and room assignments, oversight of marketing (including writing and placement of radio advertisements and revisions to design and publication of catalogs and other brochures), developing and revising policy for the law and graduate schools, coordinating graduation ceremonies and indirect involvement in fund raising for the school. Served as the international student advisor (including SEVIS administrator for the California Regional Center). Served as the VA coordinator, certifying veteran student status with the Department of Veteran Affairs. Attended numerous state and national conferences (e.g., American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, National Association of Foreign Student Advisors, and California Association of School Financial Aid Administrators). Serves as Shasta College s alternate representative to the Health Retiree Benefit Joint Powers Authority, the JPA that oversees the District s investments for future retiree health care costs. Participated at numerous Association of Chief Business Officer (ACBO) conferences. Served on the ACBO Facilities Task Force, a group that meets quarterly with Chancellor s Office staff to facilitate statewide planning for State-funded community college facilities. Participated at quarterly Northern California Community College Chief Business Officers (NCCCCBO) gatherings in Sacramento.
