And as we do, we want to make sure that you have every opportunity to build your own business into one that meets your personal and financial goals. To ensure we are providing you with the tools you need to make top dollar, we enlisted the help of the top expert in the industry on compensation plans. Together, we have crafted a plan that rewards your hard work and sets forth a clear path to success. This information packet lays out the basics of the new plan and provides you with the details you need to begin building an even stronger and more financially rewarding Clever Container business today. Three Ways to Earn Clever Container s new compensation plan offers you three ways to earn money: 1. Selling Products 2. Building a Team 3. Becoming a Leader We will explore all three ways in this packet, starting with product sales. Let s get started! 1
2 SELLING PRODUCTS Just as before, you will be able to earn money by selling Clever Container products at parties and workshops and to individual customers. But now with our new selling bonuses, you can earn from 20% to 33% on all products you sell at retail price! Selling Bonuses Bonus Goal % Paid Base Commission 20% Weekly Retail Commission Career Personal Volume $1,000 +5% Weekly Fast Start Party Bonus Personal Volume $500 /month +5% Monthly Power Seller Bonus 1 Personal Volume $2,500 /month +3% Monthly Power Seller Bonus 2 Personal Volume $4,000 /month +5% Monthly Power Seller Bonus 3 Personal Volume $6,000 /month +8% Monthly n All Clever Consultants begin with a base commission of 20% on all retail sales. However, once their Career Personal Volume reaches $1,000 (about 2-3 average-size parties), their commission permanently increases to 25%. n The Fast Start Party Bonus allows a consultant to earn an additional 5% on all retail sales in a month when his or her retail sales for that month reach $500. This bonus is paid only during the consultant s Fast Start period (enrollment month plus the next three full months) and is paid in addition to any other selling bonuses the consultant has earned. Consultants must re-qualify for this bonus each month. n The Power Seller Bonuses are based on monthly Personal Volume. Consultants must re-qualify for these bonuses each month. n Consultants will receive commissions weekly either by check or direct deposit. They will receive all selling bonuses monthly again by check or direct deposit. Personal Volume Personal Volume is the total Qualifying Volume (QV) of a consultant; it includes both personal orders as well as orders placed by the consultant s direct customers. Commission The Base Commission is 20% of the retail price of products sold by the consultant each week. Retail Commission is 5% of the QV of a consultant each week. Qualifying Volume Qualifying Volume is based on the retail price of a product rounded up to the nearest dollar. 2
3 HOSTESS REWARDS Hostesses will be eager to hold a Clever Container party once they see our exciting new Hostess Rewards program. 4 BUILDING A TEAM Clever Container is a great opportunity one you will want to share with others. When you do, you will be rewarded for building a team and helping others. With our new plan, you can earn a bonus of up to 5% on the sales of the people you sponsor. You can earn up to 4% on the sales of the people they sponsor. And, you can earn 3% on the sales of the people they sponsor. Plus, when you reach Director, you will earn an additional 2% on your entire team, infinitely deep. Here s how it works. 5 Active Leg A leg starts with a consultant s direct recruit and includes everyone beneath that recruit. The number of a consultant s legs is equal to the number of consultants they personally recruit. An Active Leg is a leg in which any member of the leg (not necessarily the consultant s direct recruit) is active. To be active, a consultant must have at least $300 in Personal Volume in a month. Team Volume Team Volume is the total Qualifying Volume (QV) of all members of a consultant s personal team, down to but not including any Directors, plus the consultant s Personal Volume. Commissionable Volume Commissionable Volume (CV) is an amount equal to the retail price of a product less a consultant s 25% commission. n Level Bonuses pay on the Commissionable Volume (CV) of consultants in your team. The Level 1 Bonus pays on all of the people you recruit personally, or your first level of consultants. The Level 2 Bonus pays on the consultants your first-level team members recruit directly. And so on. n Advancement Bonuses are paid when a consultant promotes to a new title within a given period. The Managing Consultant Advancement Bonus is paid if a consultant promotes to Managing Consultant during his or her first two full periods (month of enrollment plus two full months). The Senior Consultant Advancement Bonus is paid if a consultant promotes to Senior Consultant during his or her first three full periods (month of enrollment plus three full months). The Director Advancement Bonus is paid whenever a consultant promotes to Director for the first time. n Directors also receive an additional 2% Team Volume Bonus on the CV of their entire team, infinitely deep, including those they ve already been paid on (at levels 1, 2 and 3). n All bonuses are paid based on your Paid-As Title. (See Career Title vs. Paid-As Title below.) Career vs. Paid-As Titles Career Title Is the highest title you have achieved to date Does not change until you achieve a higher title Paid-As Title Is the title you qualify for in any given month Changes each month, based on your results The Mentor Bonus In addition to the Level, Advancement and Team Bonuses, the new plan also includes the Mentor Bonus to help get your team building off to a quick start. This bonus pays on the CV of those you recruit during their Fast Start period. It is paid in addition to any other bonus for which you qualify. 6 BECOMING A LEADER While selling products and building a team can be very profitable activities with our new compensation plan, the most significant financial rewards are reserved for those who become leaders within our company. Being a leader means setting an example through your own work by continuing to sell products and building your personal team all while mentoring others to reach their peak potential and helping to build and manage teams below you. Being a leader requires commitment, effort and dedication. But it also brings tremendous rewards both personal and financial. To qualify for the Matching Advancement Bonus, a leader must have a Career Title of Associate Director or higher and a Paid-As Title of Director or higher. 6
7 Downline Volume Downline Volume is the total Qualifying Volume (QV) of a consultant and his or her entire downline organization, including all titles. n Generation Bonuses are similar to the Level Bonuses in that they pay on the CV of the people in your downline. However, unlike Level Bonuses, which pay on individual consultants in your personal team, Generation Bonuses pay on entire teams that form beneath you when someone in your downline reaches Director. To qualify to receive a Generation Bonus, you must have a Career Title of Associate Director or higher and you must be paid as a Director or higher. n Once you reach the level of Associate Director, you are eligible to receive a Matching Advancement Bonus of $500 when a member of your personal team reaches the title of Director. You must be paid as a Director or higher to receive this bonus. 7
