The first, Meal Prtal, was sld t a grup f investrs in Raleigh. The secnd is LMS Hsting. Knwledge Vectr Inc., Durham, NC Chief Technlgy Officer Knwledge Vectr Inc. develped the Knwledge Switch. This is an infrmatin ruter that crrelates disparate data frm varius sensrs int actin-able intelligence and delivers it t first respnse persnnel and surveillance management systems. I led the develpment f the prt-type funded by a BAA grant that was demnstrated t the client agency at the 2003 Intelligence Cmmunity Cnference. Midway Airlines Inc., Mrrisville, NC Chief Infrmatin Officer 8/2002 4/ /1997 8/2002 Midway Airlines was a reginal airlines based at the Raleigh Durham Internatinal Airprt, NC. Midway flew ver 4 millin passengers a year. I was brught int Midway by Jim Gdnight, the funder f SAS, after he bught the airline. I was respnsible fr all the IT and cmmunicatins systems, and managed a budget f ver $2 Millin and a staff f 29. Key Accmplishments: Hired IBM Glbal Services t build a SAS and Oracle based data warehuse fr finance and peratins. The use f this system was instrumental in renegtiating credit card hld backs that freed up ver $4 millin in perating cash. Re-engineered the Call center applicatins and systems, including telephne cntract and interfaces t the SABRE reservatins and distributin systems. Duble the capacity while reducing the cst t perate the call center by ver 50%. This resulted in a savings f several millin annually. Re-engineered flight peratins, including the cnstructin f a Netwrk Operatins Cntrl Center. (Fr Flight peratins and grund peratins at Terminal C f the Raleigh Durham Airprt.) I led the turn-arund and expansin f the engineering department. This resulted in a mre cmmercially riented develpment, delivery, and supprt prcess. DB Star was eventually sld t Accenture. UnixWare Technlgy Grup, Mrristwn, NJ Vice President f Technlgy 1/ /1996 UTG was a cnsrtium f the majr systems suppliers wh licensed the UnixWare perating system frm Nvell, as well as the majr independent sftware cmpanies that wanted t be invlved in setting the directin f the UnixWare prduct line. The membership f UTG included IBM, NCR, Sun Micrsystems, Data General, Digital Equipment Crp, Pyramid, Cnvex, Hewlett-Packard, Olivetti, Fujitsu, and ther system suppliers.
