Als, if yu're having truble sending mail but yu've cnfirmed that encryptin is active fr SMTP in yur mail client, try t cnfigure yur SMTP server n a different prt: 465 r 587.
Outlk 2007/2010: 1. Enable IMAP in Gmail. Dn't frget t click Save Changes when yu're dne. 2. Open Outlk. 3. Fr new setups, select D nt upgrade. 4. Click Yes. 5. Enter yur display name, email address (including '@gmail.cm'), and passwrd. Ggle Apps users, enter yur full email address, e.g. 'username@yur_dmain.cm.' 6. Select the 'Manually cnfigure server settings r additinal server types' checkbx. 7. Select Internet E-mail.
8. Settings: name, full email address (including '@gmail.cm' r '@yur_dmain.cm') In the Accunt Type drpdwn menu, select IMAP. In the 'Incming server name' sectin, enter: imap.gmail.cm and in the 'Outging server name (SMTP)' sectin, enter: smtp.gmail.cm. In the 'User Name' field, give yur full Gmail address, including '@gmail.cm' r '@yur_dmain.cm.' After creating these settings, clicking Next takes yu t the end f the setup. 9. In the Tls menu, select Optins then Mail Setup. Under 'Email Accunts,' click E- mail Accunts.
10. Select an accunt, and click Change abve the list f accunts. Click Mre Settings, then the Advanced tab. Incming server must be 993, and must use SSL3 encryptin. Outging server can use 587, TLS4 encryptin.
11. Click the Outging Server tab. Make sure that 'My utging server (SMTP) requires authenticatin' is selected. The radi buttn 'Use same settings as my incming mail server' shuld als be selected. 12. Click OK > Next > Finish > Clse > OK. Thunderbird 3.0: 1. As a reminder, please make sure t Enable IMAP in Gmail and click Save Changes when yu're dne. 2. Open Thunderbird. 3. Click the Tls menu, and select Accunt Settings... 4. Select Add Mail Accunt... frm the drp-dwn list lcated under the accunt list n the left.
5. The first dialg in Thunderbird s Autmatic Accunt Cnfiguratin will be displayed. Enter yur name, yur Gmail email address and yur passwrd. Click Cntinue. 6. Thunderbird will query the Gmail server and autmatically cnfigure the apprpriate IMAP cnnectin settings fr yur accunt. When cmplete, Thunderbird will shw yu a cnfirmatin dialg similar t this ne:
7. Cnfirm that the cnnectin settings are the same as thse shwn abve and click Create Accunt. Apple Mail 4.0: 1. Click Mail > Preferences... 2. On the Accunts tab, click the + buttn t add a new accunt. 3. Fill in the Welcme t Mail windw with the fllwing infrmatin: Full Name: [yur name] Email Address: yur full email address [username@gmail.cm, r username@yur_dmain.cm fr Ggle Apps users] Passwrd: yur Gmail passwrd 4.
