3 Prnestr Rm & Catering Mdule 1 Server setup and cnfiguratin (Web server and SQL) Prnestr Rm & Catering is a sftware slutin fr bking rms, equipment and catering. The slutin is web based and installed n a web server either n-premises r hsted by Prnestr. General Server requirements: Prnestr Rm & Catering requires tw types f servers: - Web Server (fr installing the slutin) - MS SQL Server (fr creating a Prnestr database which hlds all data) The installatin des nt require a dedicated hardware server. It can be run n a virtual server. The MS SQL database des nt require t be lcated n a dedicated server. A cluster is sufficient. Server preparatins: Befre installing Prnestr Rm & Catering the fllwing functins need t be activated n the web server. T wrk n the SQL Server yu need t launch the SQL Server Management Studi. We will guide yu thrugh the cnfiguratin f the database and it will include the fllwing steps: Create a Prnestr Database A Prnestr database is needed n the SQL server fr hlding all data. Create a user accunt n the SQL server Prnestr Rm & Catering needs a user accunt n the SQL server in rder t access the Prnestr database. Please nte: Prnestr Rm & Catering supprts bth SQL Server Authenticatin and Windws Authenticatin n the SQL Server Setup database and user mapping Setup f access rights fr the user accunt fr the Prnestr database. 5 Prnestr Rm & Catering Mdule 1 Installatin f Prnestr Sftware and License Installatin n the web server (IIS). Installatin n-premises. Prnestr Rm & Catering runs as a website n the web server (IIS). Install the slutin by creating the fllwing: Create a prnestr flder n the web server. This will be the Prnestr website. Create an install flder in the prnestr flder. The sftware is delivered by Prnestr and cmes as a.zip file. Please unzip t the install flder. Cpy the license key Prnestr.lic t the license flder in the install flder. Finish the installatin by running a Cmmand Prmpt. Navigate t the full_install.bat lcated in the install flder. Yu create it in the IIS set up. Cnvert the Prnestr flder t a website by cnnecting it t the Applicatin Pl Right click the Prnestr flder in the IIS chse Cnvert t Applicatin Chse Prnestr Pl. Cnfiguring the SQL database cnnectin Establish a cnnectin between the Prnestr website and the created SQL database since all data is held here. Edit the cnnectinstrings.cnfig file in ntepad enter SQL server name, database name and credentials. When using SSO users are autmatically recgnized by Prnestr and lgged int the system. When using Frms Authenticatin users will have t lg in with username and passwrd. Depending n lcal security a ckie will be saved n the web client and save the lgin infrmatin. SSO (Single Sign-On) Micrsft Windws Authenticatin Activate Windws Authenticatin n yur Prnestr website.
