3 Prnestr Visitr Mdule 11 Hst imprt (AD Integratin) The Prnestr AD integratin mdule is used fr imprting hsts int Prnestr Visitr frm an Active Directry. Hsts are maintained in the Active Directry as always and Prnestr reads all hst infrmatin frm here. A prerequisite fr integrating with the Active Directry is that yu hld all data n the SQL server and nt lcally n the client pc (see mdule 10) The fllwing steps take yu thrugh the installatin and cnfiguratin f the Prnestr AD Integratin mdule. Create a Service Accunt Prnestr uses this Service Accunt in the AD integratin mdule. Set the Service Accunt s passwrd t never expire. Using Windws authenticated database cnnectin Create a Service Accunt with permissins t 1) read frm the Active Directry, 2) run a scheduled task and 3) write t the Prnestr database (SQL). Please nte: We recmmend t use the same Service Accunt as when creating the Prnestr database. 4 Prnestr Visitr Mdule 11 Hst imprt (AD Integratin) Create Active Directry Structure Create an OU (Organizatinal Unit) that the Prnestr AD integratin mdule will read infrmatin frm. Yu can either create a dedicated OU fr Prnestr r reuse an existing OU. Create a sub grup in the OU (Security Grup r distributin list) This sub grup hlds all hsts. Installatin and cnfiguratin Install the Prnestr AD integratin sftware The sftware is delivered by Prnestr and cmes as a.zip file and shuld be unzipped t a dedicated Prnestr flder in Prgram Files (x86) n an applicatin server. Cnfigure the AD integratin mdule (n-premises) This is dne in rder t establish the right cnnectins between AD Integratin Mdule Active Directry and AD Integratin Mdule Prnestr Database (SQL) Cnfigure the AD integratin mdule (hsted) This is dne in rder t establish the right cnnectins between AD integratin mdule Active Directry. 5 Prnestr Visitr Mdule 11 Hst imprt (AD Integratin) Installatin and cnfiguratin (cntinued...) Cnnecting OU sub grups and Prnestr Visitr All user maintenance is dne in the Active Directry. Hsts and cmpanies will be imprted crrectly t Prnestr Visitr when cnnecting t the Prnestr AD Integratin mdule. The cnnectin is set up in the Prnestr AD integratin mdule. Create the right links by chsing the right Active Directry sub grups in the drp dwn menu. Please nte: Cmpanies need t be created in Prnestr Visitr befre the cnnectin can be cmpleted. Please see mdule 3. Scheduled task Set up a scheduled task in rder t autmatically update and maintain the users in Prnestr Visitr n a daily basis. Any changes in the Active Directry are autmatically updated in Prnestr. Yu create the scheduled task n the app server and we recmmend that yu set the recurrent time during night time because f the minimum system lad in this perid. Mre infrmatin n Prnestr s help site. 6 Prnestr Visitr Mdule 11 Self Registratin mdule The Self Registratin Mdule is a supplement t the basic slutin in Prnestr Visitr. It gives visitrs the pssibility t register themselves upn arrival n a kisk pc r Windws based tablet at the frnt desk. It is typically used in unmanned receptins and in busy receptins with many visitrs t ensure an effective registratin flw. Installatin After installing the Prnestr Visitr basic slutin yu can install the Self Registratin sftware. It is delivered by Prnestr as a dwnlad link t an installatin file. Dwnlad the file and install it n the client pc. If yu have mre than ne pc yu need t install the sftware lcally n every ne. Yu can cpy the entire installatin frm ne installatin t anther. 7 Prnestr Visitr Mdule 11 Self Registratin Mdule Custmize the screens Implement yur cmpany lg and crprate design prfile in the screen layut. The screens are based n HTML-pages and they are custmizable... Yu just need t make changes t the HTML cde. Each screen has it s wn HTML file. The files are lcated in the prgram flder where the Self Registratin mdule is installed. The webpages can either be lcated n the PC running the Self Registratin mdule, r yu can refer t webpages n a webserver. Yu can change: Backgrund Images Lg Languages Fnts Clrs Cntent/text Etc... 8 Prnestr Visitr Mdule 11 WiFi Integratin Prnestr Visitr can generate lgn infrmatin t the cmpany Wi-Fi and print it n the visitr badges. A RADIUS server is required fr the integratin. It validates the username and passwrd twards Prnestr Visitr when lgging n. The lgn infrmatin is activated at check-in and deactivated at check-ut. A prerequisite fr integrating with the cmpany Wi-Fi is that yu hld all data n the SQL server and nt lcally n the client pc (see mdule 10). Installatin and cnfiguratin Set up the RADIUS server t cnnect t the Prnestr database. In the data surce windw yu set up the SQL server name, database, and username/passwrd fr accessing the database. Nw yu add scripts and queries in the RADIUS server. These scrips are used t ask the Prnestr database if the lgin is valid. Fr printing Wifi access cdes n the visitr badges please see mdule 10.
