The SpringBard Online site shuld be used fr cmpleting nline tutrials fr cntinuing educatin units (CEUs). The SpringBard Online Training Site is fr educatrs t use during their SpringBard prfessinal develpment. The SpringBard Online Training site shuld be used during SpringBard Prfessinal Develpment. 2 Abut Access Cdes Access Cde: a virtual key t nline services fr educatrs Yur registered educatr accunt n cllegebard.cm lets yu accesss many services like SpringBard Online and AP Central, but yu need a separate key in rder t enrll in and lg int each f thse individual services. The access cde is yur key. If yu have the right key r if the key has already been entered fr yu yu ll be able t enrll and access the service. Why yu need access cdes An access cde allws authrized users t access SpringBard Online. An access cde defines yur rle Teacher, Crdinatr, Schl Administratr, r District Administratr. Yur rle determines which features and reprts yu can see. An access cde is linked t the schl r district t which yu belng, s yu ll nly see yur dataa and subjects in the system. Teachers at ne schl share the same accesss cde and will see their wn class data frm their schl. Teachers at anther schl will see nly their wn class data, nt yurs. Access cdes are imprtant, because they ensure that yur schl s data and yur students data are secure, and accessible by thse wh are authrized t d s. Hw t get access cdes If yu ve been t a SpringBard wrkshp, yu may already have an access cde.. If yu need an access cde, cntact yur lcal SpringBard Crdinatr, wh shuld be able t prvide access cdes r ther infrmatin yu need. If yu still need help after talking with the crdinatr, cntact the SpringBard Htline. Abut Yur Educatr Accunt Yu must be registered fr an educatr accunt n cllegebard. cm befre yu can enrll and access either SpringBard Online site. If yu ve attended a SpringBard training wrkshp, yu prbably already have an accunt, s there s n need t re-register. If yu re an AP Teacher, yur educatr accunt is the same as yur AP Central accunt yu can use the same username and passwrd t access the SpringBard Online site. 3 Hw t Access (Step-by-Step Guide) Whether yu re a new user r returning t SpringBard Online, yu ll need t first lg in with yur educatr accunt. T g t SpringBard Online, enter this URL in a web brwser: Then click the Educatr Lg In buttn. Gd news! Use the same username/passwrd fr AP Central and SpringBard Online. Yu ll see the Educatin Prfessinals Sign-In Page. Enter yur username and passwrd. AP Teachers, this is the same username/passwrd yu use fr AP Central. Gd news - yu can use the same sign in fr AP Central and SpringBard Online! If yu ve frgtten yur username r passwrd, click the links prvided t get them ed t yu. Verify yu re signing int SpringBard Online. Click the Sign In buttn. One f three scenaris culd happen after yu click Sign In. The system will check whether yu re enrlled and will display the apprpriate screen t cntinue. Scenari 1 (best case) If yu see a Terms & Cnditins page, just accept t see the hmepage. Yu re gd t g! (see page 4) Scenari 2 (need t enrll) If yu see the Manage Enrllment page, yu ll need yur access cde t enrll. (Cntinue t the MANAGE PROFILE sectin in this handut) Scenari 2 (Have accunt, are nt enrlled need t enrll) If yu see the Manage Enrllment page, it means yu re nt enrlled in SpringBard Online. Here s where yu ll need the access cde prvided by yur SpringBard Crdinatr. If yu see Manage Enrllment fr SpringBard Online, just cmplete the steps illustrated belw. 1. Yur Subject Area is required 2. Click Search yur assciatin t find and select yur schl (see detail n next page if needed) 3. Enter yur access cde 4. 5 DETAIL SEARCH YOUR ASSOCIATION When yu click Search yur assciatin (see previus page, Scenari 2, step 2) A ppup appears. Enter at least ne piece f infrmatin t find yur schl, then click Search. Find yur schl in the results list. Click Select link. After selecting the schl, cntinue t Scenari 2, step 3 n the previus page, t enter the access cde. Once yu click Save & Cntinue, yu ll see this screen belw. Click Cntinue T (SpringBard Online) Yu shuld see a Terms & Cnditins page. Accept the terms t cntinue t the hmepage fr the site. Once yu've successfully entered yur access cde, then yu ll be enrlled. 6 Scenari 3 (D nt have accunt, are nt enrlled need t create an accunt) If yu d nt have an accunt, r if yu re nt sure if yu have an accunt, click the G buttn. Click G if yu dn t have r aren t sure if yu have an accunt Yu ll see a screen where yu create yur educatr accunt. (See the next page fr full screensht.) Enter all required fields, marked with a red asterisk. When yu submit yur accunt infrmatin, the system will check if there is anther accunt with the same username, , r first and last name in the same lcatin. The system may try t match yu t anther accunt. This is gd if yu ve previusly created an accunt, but frgt abut it. If yu are creating a new accunt, but the username has been taken, yu ll need t enter a different username. Yu nly need ne educatr accunt. Once yu have ne, use the same username and passwrd t access SpringBard Online, as well as ther Cllege Bard services like AP Central. If yu already have this, yu d nt need t create anther. Or if yu aren t sure whether yu have ne, just create a new accunt. Yu can merge accunts later. Chse username/ passwrd fr yur accunt 2. fr the accunt; als where yu ll receive news 3. Enter full name Red Asterisk indicates required fields. 4. Chse DISPLAY name fr SpringBard Cmmunity 5. Click Save & Cntinue If smene else has yur username, yu ll have t enter a different ne. If the system finds an existing accunt that might be fr yu, yu can verify whether it s yu r cntinue t create a new accunt. Once yu create an accunt, g back up t the start f Scenari 2 (page 4) t cntinue with enrllment. Once enrlled, yu ll see the hmepage and can start using the site. Manage Prfile (Add Additinal Access Cdes) Once yu ve entered the SpringBard Online site, the Prfile link will let yu edit yur educatr accunt.
