Part 2 - Media Specific Guidelines and Rates IEEE Canadian Review (print versin) Publicatin Mandate T prvide infrmatin abut the Canadian electrical, electrnics, cmmunicatins and cmputer engineering and their assciated academic and business cmmunities t IEEE Canada members and the general public. Advertising Guidelines The guidelines exist and are already in practice fr a number f years. Detailed guidelines and rates are given in Appendix A. IEEE Canada e-newsletter (electrnic versin) Publicatin Mandate T prvide the latest news regarding IEEE Canada activities, Canadian industry trends, etc. t the IEEE Canada members. Advertising Guidelines Embedded advertising in the newsletter is a service intrduced recently. The guidelines are similar t thse f the IEEE Canada Review. Advertising Guidelines Web advertising is a relatively new service. The guidelines are similar t thse f the IEEE Canada Review. Detailed guidelines and rates are given in Appendix C. Third Party Advertising Service IEEE Canada may invlve a trusted third party advertising agency t place advertisement n designated areas f IEEE Canada Web. All prspective advertisers must cmply with the fllwing: An advertiser must be a business registered in the USA r Canada. An advertiser must be able t demnstrate hw the intended advertising cntent wuld benefit the IEEE Canada members. An advertiser must prvide the fllwing infrmatin: 1. State r prvince where business is registered in and business registratin number. 2. The wner f the agency. If privately wned, t prvide names, addresses and phne numbers f the principal wners. 3. Statement f the categries t be advertised, e.g. travel, cmmercial, retail, industrial, jb penings, training and educatinal, medical, etc. 4. Minimum f 3 references f existing clients with their cntact infrmatin. IEEE Canada accepts nly static image / graphics with r withut a link t the advertiser s web page. Other frmats are nt cnsidered at this time. There are five bxes n the right side panel f every page n the IEEE Canada website. They are reserved t carry advertisement directly placed with IEEE Canada. Tp and bttm banner spaces are reserved fr advertisement placed thrugh the designated third party advertising agency. There will be n tp banner n the hme page. Rate per bx befre tax: $400/mnth; $800/quarter; $1600/year The maximum advertising term is ne year; renewal submissin is accepted fr cnsideratin after a 3-mnth cling perid. IEEE Canada Publicity and Advertising Handbk APPENDIX D Additinal Guidelines fr Advertising n the IEEE Canada Web IEEE Canada has entered (int) an agreement with Multiview Inc, an (third-party) advertising agency, in rder t bring/increase advertisement fr/t/n the IEEE Canada website. This agreement is renewable annually fr the duratin f three years (Jan. 1, 2014 t Dec. 31, 2016). The existing IEEE Canada guidelines and plicies fr web advertising remain valid. The advertisement agency, Multiview, r any such third-party agency, shuld IEEE Canada chse t enter agreement with in the future, will be required t perate within the IEEE Canada guidelines and plicies. IEEE Canada will retain all f its existing advertisers and will cntinue accepting advertisement directly, based n the availability f its advertising space. On the newly redesigned IEEE Canada website, there will be 5 bxes n the right-hand side f a web page reserved fr advertising. There will be a tp banner space fr advertisement n every web page except the Hme web page. There will als be a bttm banner space fr advertisement n every page including the Hme web page. Three f the five right-hand side bxes will be reserved fr IEEE Canada special annuncements r advertisements placed directly with IEEE Canada. Statement f the categries t be advertised, e.g. travel, cmmercial, retail, industrial, jb penings, training and educatinal, medical, etc 4. Minimum 3 references f existing clients with their cntact infrmatin IEEE Canada accepts nly static image / graphics with r withut a link t the advertiser s web page.
