Name of Opportunity Participation at VisitScotland expo Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston, Edinburgh 20 & 21 April 2016 Opportunity Summary VisitScotlad epo is Scotlad s flagship business to business travel trade event and the only event which exclusively promotes Scotland. Expo enables all Scottish tourism businesses to promote their products and services to potential buyers from around the globe. VisitScotland expo welcomes buyers from all sectors of this global industry - coach tour operators, group travel organisers, tourism product wholesalers, specialist and independent tour operators and travel media. Trade Show Exhibitors have their own dedicated stand to dress and brand. The event format is a mixture of prescheduled appointments with buyers, the opportunity to attract buyers to your stand as the show has a free flow aspect and this is supplemented by a welcome event and networking evening giving exhibitors the opportunity to meet with buyers in both formal and informal surroundings. Networking Events There are two networking opportunities Welcome Event On the eve of expo VisitScotland will hold a welcome event for buyers and exhibitors (1 per stand) to meet before the trade show. This is an opportunity to meet with buyers and increase appointments for the trade show. VisitScotland will also be giving key messages for our activity and plans ahead. Main Networking Event The main VisitScotland networking event will take place on Wednesday evening after day one of the event. Exhibitors (two tickets per stand additional avaible to purchase) will be able to network with buyers in a more informal setting. The format of this event will be different from previous years and a more focussed seated dinner. Familiarisation Trips Exhibitors at expo will have the opportunity to showcase their product to buyers first hand by offering prefential rates for familiarisation trips. Through these trips we aim to showcase as much of Scotland as possible and in 2015 88% of international buyers stated they will feature a place they visited in future programmes. Features and Benefits This is a uiue evet, as it is Scotlad s only business to business event for the travel trade that is entirely Scottish. In 2015, 322 international tour operators, wholesalers, travel agents, plus 137 UK based buyers and 52 media buyers attended.

The expo Show Guide: The Showguide is available in PDF format to download from the expo website a week before the event Printed copies issued at the show - it promotes the event and can be used for reference throughout the year by both buyers and exhibitors. The guide is a handy A5 size to carry around the event and contains the layout of the exhibition hall and gives the company profile of the exhibiting companies. Promotion: As soon as the show details have been finalised, it is advertised on www.visitscotland.org and promoted in targeted major trade publications. Buyers are sent an e-mail reminding them to put the date in their diary. Each stand measures 3m x 2m and is fitted out with carpets, lights and choice of furniture package. Two tickets for the network evening are included in the cost. Cost (excl. VAT) 1,775 Corner location supplement a corner 225 Space only (min of 6 sq meter) stand participation. Purchased in multiples of 262.50 per sq m 3m x 2m and the price is per square metre. There are no fittings i.e. carpets, lights, cupboard, chairs these can be hired through a 3 rd party. Price is per sq metre. Two tickets for the network evening are included in the cost.
