The Kamloops Exploration Group Society presents: KEG 2016 The 29 th Annual Kamloops Exploration Conference & Trade Show "Mining Potential Unearthed" CONFERENCE/TRADE SHOW/ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES - April 11 th - 14 th All mailed-in registrations MUST be received by March 24, 2016, after which time, registration may only occur in person at the registration desk during conference hours. We will visit Privato Vineyard and Winery, Harper s Trail Winery and Monte Creek Ranch Winery while enjoying a gourmet lunch created by the Thompson Rivers University culinary students. Cost includes transportation, lunch, and tasting fees. You will also be supporting a award for a female student in her 2 nd year of studies at TRU majoring in mining related studies. Core Shack (April 12-8:30am-7pm & April 13-8:30am-5pm): (Must be registered as a Delegate to sign-up) This will be our sixth year offering core shack during the KEG Conference. If you have a BCbased project with drill core, other samples and supporting maps that you would like to display, please contact Jen Barter today! Priority will be given to companies or individuals that are presenting at the KEG 2016 Technical Sessions, or have new and interesting projects to display. Note - you must be registered as a delegate to request a Core Shack display. Display includes: 2-8'x2' tables and 1 backboard. Set-up must be completed by April 12th at 8:30am. Set-up times run April 11 from 6pm-9pm and April 12 from 7am-8:30am). Extra equipment and services (e.g. lighting, furniture, labour, display storage) can be arranged through Showtime Event & Display (Geoff Neufeld - 1-800-721-0029).

Prospector Booths (April 12 & April 13): (Must be registered as a Delegate to sign-up) Individuals are invited to display maps and rocks from their properties. Prospector Booths are available on a first come first serve basis. Upon registering as a conference delegate you can cemail Jen Barter to apply for a booth space. You will be given a private url for booth registration and charged $100.00 + GST which will be refunded in person at your booth upon conference completion. Presentations are welcome. For more info please contact Jen Barter at kegconference@gmail.com OR John Dormer at 250-374-7600 or john.dormer@pacificbentonite.com Short Course Prospectors Training Course: From Staking to Submission ~ Providing the tools you need to move your property from discovery to sale ~ (Must be registered as a Delegate to sign-up and attend) Date: April 11, 2016 Time: 8:30am-4:30pm Cost: $50 Description: Your guide to staking claims, doing meaningful work, navigating government systems, reporting your work, finding free resources and advancing your claim! Learning goals may include: understanding different types of tenures in BC, how to pick a property, how to acquire a property, how to maintain your claim, understanding government regulation, placer and mineral techniques, mineral identification, documenting and reporting work, permits, budgeting and other resources.

Yukon Dan Gold Panning Field Trip (Must be registered as a Delegate to sign-up and attend) Date: April 14, 2016 Time: 8am-4pm Cost: $80.00 Description: Guaranteed to find flour gold, small and some big flakes, on this gold panning field trip with world champion gold panner, Yukon Dan. Leaving Kamloops at 8 am (coffee and muffins breakfast), your host on-board the bus will discuss placer gold and local geology while travelling to Spences Bridge where Yukon Dan awaits. You will receive a brand new gold pan (yours to keep) and lessons on how to find the most gold. We will have lunch (provided) on site. The bus will head back to the conference centre at 2:30 pm, with post trip beverages aboard, arriving back at approximately 4:00 pm. Please dress appropriately for the weather with proper waterproof footwear and clothing. During the conference, try to make time to meet with Yukon Dan tat his booth display and get a head start on learning the art of panning before the trip. New Afton Mine Tour (Thursday, April 16-8:00am - 4:00pm): (Must be registered as a Delegate to sign-up and attend) Date: April 14, 2016 Time: 8am-4pm Location: New Afton Mine Cost: $100.00 (must be 19yrs+) Come for a private tour of New Afton Mine where you will be one of only 18 people on this small tour to get a chance to tour their underground, mill and core shack. A bus will pick you up from The Coast Kamloops Hotel and Convention Centre and be promptly leaving at 8am, arriving back approximately around 4:00pm. Proper PPE must be worn on this trip. You will be asked to submit sizing and other information at the time of registration.
