Expo 15 was a really fantastic event. Despite all the pressures and trials and tribulations around the front line of the health service, there was a sense on the part of the people who were there that actually there is a route forward that a number of people can chart and are getting on with. It was a very practical, sleeves-rolled-up kind of event, at no cost to either the NHS or the taxpayer. Simon Stevens, Chief Executive, NHS England Health and Care Innovation Expo is a remarkable act of engagement between the NHS and so many of our stakeholders. Five thousand people come through the door. I hope that in future years we can continue to build on this important part of the NHS, presenting not just what it is doing, but listening to a much broader community who engage with us at the different events and seminars concentrated over the two days. Prof Sir Malcolm Grant, Chair, NHS England Expo 2015 was a useful event for networking, meeting with many people we can work with in the future, including international representatives, commissioners, other providers, politicians and competitors. We met ministers from India, Mexico, Qatarand other areas of the world, which provided much food for thought about how the Trust might develop in the future. Joe Rafferty, Chief Executive, Merseycare NHS Trust People visiting the New Care Models zone and attending our plenaries and workshops at Expo 2015 told us how great it was to see these new concepts in practice, underpinned by real-time sharing of data with patients themselves and with other healthcare professionals. We ll have even more progress to demonstrate, share and discuss when we return at Expo 2016. Sam Jones, Director od New Care Models, NHS England Health and Care Innovation Expo is a great forum for developing peer networks, as well as providing an invaluable programme of dedicated events and activities for the nursing profession.
