ABOUT CAMP The Adaptive Sports and Recreation Association (ASRA) provides sports and recreational activities/opportunities for physically disabled youth and adults throughout San Diego County. Our signature event for youth is the Junior Adaptive Sports Camp, taking place this year from July 25 30 th, 2016 at Miramar College and North Crown Point Shores. Junior Adaptive Sports Camp helps physically disabled children experience the feeling of being a part of a team, boosts self esteem, enhances self confidence and most importantly, opens them up to a whole new world of possibilities! It is truly a life changing experience for the kids and their families that takes place in a positive, loving and fun atmosphere! 2016 marks the 30 th Anniversary of this unique summer camp for children ages 4 18 years of age, offering 15 different sports. The athletes will work with committed volunteers who share a passion for adaptive sports, while learning the fundamentals of sports such as wheelchair basketball, tennis, archery, swimming, hand cycling, water tubing, wheelchair soccer and much, much more. Camp exposes the athletes to many different opportunities to develop skills and stay active, moving and healthy. ACCESSIBILITY RESOURCE FAIR ASRA and Rady Children s Hospital are working together as co sponsors to bring you the 2016 SoCal AccessAbility Fair. This event, in conjunction with our Family Day at Sports Camp, will take place on Saturday, July 30 th.. The event, featuring exhibitor booths, sports demonstrations, family fun activities, will give companies and vendors the opportunity to showcase their products and services directly to the physically disabled community, sports demonstrations, presentations and many family fun activities. www.asrasporscamp.org

Fund an Athlete $250 EVERYONE DESERVES A CHANCE TO PLAY! The Junior Adaptive Sports Camp was created for children ages 4 18 with physical disabilities to help cultivate a love for sports. At camp, the athletes work with committed volunteers and sports counselors who share a passion for adaptive sports, while learning the fundamentals of sports such as wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis, archery, swimming, hand cycling, water tubing, wheelchair soccer, rugby and much more. By funding an athlete, you give physically disabled youth the amazing opportunity to attend this weeklong camp. For just $250, you can help them to become part of a team and open up a whole new world of possibilities in sports! Athletes develop important skills to help them stay active and healthy, develop positive self esteem, leadership, independence and camp helps them establish a desire for life long activity as well as lifelong friendships!
