Job Title Fundraising Administrator Report To Fundraising Manager Region All Grade 7 Band C Experience Preferred Demonstrable experience of working in a fundraising administration (or similar) role. Qualifications Preferred Educated to Higher Grade level or equivalent. Database administration experience (preferably Raisers Edge) Overview of Role To provide administrative support for the Fundraising team and to ensure donations are administered in a timely and effective manner. You should have excellent interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills; you will be responsible for supporting the full range of fundraising activities carried out by Cornerstone. In particular, you will be responsible for the integrity of the fundraising database and ensuring accurate recording of all donations and supporter correspondence. You should have experience of working with databases, including generating reports and exporting data, be fully computer literate, have excellent organisational and time-management skills and be able to work accurately and on your own initiative whilst managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Above all, you must be enthusiastic, warm and a real people person, with the ability to work well on your own and as part of a team. The successful candidate must also have attention to detail and the ability to work with high volumes of information and data. Key Tasks 1. Provide administration and database support to the Fundraising team 2. Be the first point of contact for enquiries to the fundraising team, providing administrative duties such as answering telephone calls, opening fundraising mail and minuting meetings etc. 3. Liaise with relevant departments to provide appropriate information for fundraising mailings, events and campaigns. 4. Collaborate with other staff members to analyse fundraising trends/results and provide related analysis. 5. Deal with day-to-day correspondence via telephone and email efficiently and in a timely manner. 6. Assist with gathering appropriate content for Cornerstone s fundraising media including newsletter, social media, annual report, website and other publications. 7. Handling and processing all fundraising income, entering donations onto the Raisers Edge (RE) database, exporting data to provide to Finance, ensuring consistency and accuracy of records and collating weekly banking. 8. Responsible for capturing all donor information including data input and output using RE. Page No. 1
9. Ensure that accurate financial and analytical reports are prepared using the database and provided to the Fundraising Manager. 10. Be responsible for the day-to-day administration of all fundraising initiatives on behalf of the fundraising team. 11. Ensure that thank you letters are sent out in a professional and timely manner. 12. Provide administration support to all fundraising initiatives including providing mailing data lists via Raisers Edge database, checking online fundraising pages and logging data on Raisers Edge, liaising with event participants, assisting, attending and supporting fundraising events. 13. Prepare and submit claims to HMRC for Gift Aid. 14. Provide basic fundraising advice and support to staff and supporters as appropriate. 15. Liaise with finance colleagues to ensure that all monies are banked and that accurate financial records are maintained. 16. Attend and contribute to Fundraising team meetings. 17. Work flexibly as part of the Fundraising team. 18. Continually seek ways to ensure the smooth running of the fundraising team 19. Provide research to support fundraising activity. 20. Continually look for ways to maximise fundraising income and productivity using Raisers Edge database. 21. Participate in maintaining a library of background information and research for the Fundraising department. 22. Be fully responsible for the fundraising database including input and output of all data, including providing accurate statistical reports. 23. Be responsible for delivering agreed objectives within set timescales. 24. Contribute to the wider team and all aspects of Cornerstone s fundraising. 25. Promote Cornerstone s aim and objectives continually through working practice. 26. Carry out any other relevant duties as required. Person Specification Educational Qualifications Essential Educated to Higher Grade level or equivalent. Desirable Holder of or willingness to work towards Fundraising qualification. Member of the Institute of Fundraisers. Skills, Knowledge and Experience Essential Demonstrable experience of working in a fundraising administration (or similar) role.
