1 JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Division: Department/Region/Section: Location: Reports to: Responsible for: Grade: Marketing Executive Donor Recruitment Animal Welfare Promotion Fundraising and Supporter Services Headquarters Marketing Manager, Recruitment N/A 1. Purpose of the job To provide support to the Marketing Manager Donor Recruitment, in all aspects of RSPCA acquisition fundraising, including campaign management, administration, fulfilment processing and the cultivation of new supporters. 2 Principal Accountabilities Campaign and Agency Management Develop and maintain relationships with the various supplier agencies, telemarketing agencies and representatives to ensure campaign objectives are delivered, within agreed time lines. Proof read literature produced by external agencies for accuracy and legality; circulating copy and samples to relevant parties, making revisions where necessary and give approval to agency staff. Co-ordinate the print and production of recruitment campaigns, including print proofs, artwork and photo credits. Check for accuracy and ensure it complies with all legal and financial constraints and give approval to agency staff/ print brokers to proceed to print. Approve invoices to an agreed limit. Maintain records and provide all the information necessary for campaign and budget reporting to ensure the agreed level of donors are being recruited within the agreed recruitment cost and via the most effective source. Provide statistical and campaign analysis as required for Marketing Manager and external agencies to help ascertain success of fundraising programme.

2 Database Ensure correct procedures are followed in any transfer of data or confidential information between external agencies and the RSPCA. Update supporter records on the Contacts database. Provide information to enable the transfer of data from external agencies to the RSPCA Contacts database. Administration Monitor output of letters from Supporter Services department to ensure fundraising correspondence meets the required standards. Ensure all non-standard responses are replied to appropriately and promptly. Research and respond to queries from the general public and supporters that arise as a result of the donor recruitment activity. Maintain a system for checking and referencing all invoices received in relation to Donor Recruitment fundraising. Work with telemarketing, creative, media and fulfillment agencies to maintain good campaign administration including data capture, fulfillment handling and data transfer. Other Maintain an up to date knowledge of all legislation surrounding, direct marketing, telemarketing, fundraising and data protection to ensure the RSPCA is complying with same. Undertake any other duties as requested.

Organisation Please refer to the attached organisational chart (Appendix B). 4. Job Context The post holder needs to be good at resolving queries and proactive. Some work is done in consultation with the line manager, who provides advice and guidance. And other work is done using experience and own initiative. Work supervised to ensure accuracy, but post holder will have responsibility for all sign off of copy, schedules, print proofs and invoices. Resolve supporter concerns/complaints and if necessary referring them to the relevant department. Writing letters in response to complaints. Working within timeframes and checking copy adheres to DD mandate requirements, Data Protection legislation and any RSPCA policies in respect of the work. Keeping a detailed spreadsheet of campaign results and invoices. Circulating new copy and new mailpacks to relevant addresses. A position with lots of variety, working across various fundraising media, including DRTV, cold mail, door drops, magazine inserts and internet. 5.
