OBiPLUS Tutrial Intrductin OBiPLUS is a feature-rich yet lw-cst VIP-based telephne system fr a small ffice with up t 12 users. Each user is assigned an internal extensin number and may use an IP Phne r a cnventinal analg crded r digital crdless phne cnnected t an OBi device s phne prt. Users f the OBiPLUS system may share up t 4 vice and/r vicemail services fr prcessing external calls and vicemails. Users may als cllabrate n incming external and internally transferred calls. Advanced features supprted are; autattendant (AA), call transfer, call park and call pickup, busy-lamp-field (BLF), music-n-hld (MOH), and call ruting based n day/night time. OBiPLUS Tutrial Frm a hardware standpint, each OBiPLUS system must have ne and nly ne OBi202 device that acts as the Master OBi the vice service hub n which the shared vice services are installed. T supprt the number f users in the system, OBiPLUS may include a mixture f (ff-the-shelf) OBi devices r IP Phnes that act as client devices. ONLY OBi phne adapters and Cisc SPA50xG and SPA303 IP phnes are supprted by the OBiPLUS system wizard. The client devices may be installed n the same netwrk (r subnet) as the Master OBi. In this dcument, the lcatin where the Master OBi is installed is referred t as the Main Office. Frm the perspective f the Master OBi, OBiPLUS des nt allw any client device lcated in the Main Office t be behind anther ruter, On the ther hand, OBiPLUS des allw sme client devices t be lcated n a different netwrk in anther lcatin (with Internet access), e.g. in a Hme r Branch Office that is away frm the Main Office. Any ff-the-shelf OBi202 device can be used as the Master OBi, prvided that it has an active subscriptin ta Beasic r Premium OBiPLUS sftware license frm OBiTALK.cm. There are tw levels f subscriptin: a Basic subscriptin which is free, and a Premium subscriptin which csts $300/year. The basic subscriptin supprts up t 4 users with sme limitatins n the feature set. The premium subscriptin supprts up t 12 users with n limitatins n the feature-set. The OBi202 device has tw phne prts supprting tw OBiPLUS extensins. - IP Phnes and Side Car: An IP phne is a phne with a direct Ethernet cnnectin t the lcal LAN. IP phnes typically have several built-in prgrammable line keys r functin keys. Each functin key manifests itself as a lighted buttn. IP phnes use the SIP prtcl t cmmunicate with a SIP Prxy Server fr making and receiving calls, plus sme ther services. IP phnes may supprt an additinal side car t asllw mre functin keys. Each lighted functin key can be either: ff, green, red, amber, steady r blinking t indicate different states. - OBi Devices with an Attached Analg Crded r Crdless Phne: An OBi phne is a cnventinal analg phne (e.g., a crded desktp phne r a crdless DECT phne) cnnected t a PHONE Prt f an OBi device. An OBi110 and OBi100 device can cnnect t ne phne t act as ne OBi phne. An OBi202 device can cnnect t tw phnes t act as tw OBi Phnes. Nte that the Master OBi device has tw phne prts and prvides tw builtin OBi Phne PHONE prts. Each OBi device that is nt the Master OBi, that ffers ne r tw OBi phnes, is knwn as a Client OBi. Each user f the OBiPLUS system must be assigned either an IP Phne r an OBi Phne with a unique 3-digit internal extensin in the range: 100 199. OBiPLUS Features User Features - User Device: - Internal Calls: - External calls: Each user may be assigned an IP Phne r an OBi device with an attached analg/digital crdless r creded phne. OBiPLUS Tutrial Yu can define ne r mre rules t handle incming calls n each f the shared vice services n the Master OBi. Fr each rule yu may specify: A caller number (which can be Any number, Annymus, r a specific caller number r number pattern). A list f ne r mre entities t ring simultaneusly. An entity can be an OBiPLUS extensin, r an external number. When the list has mre than ne entity, we refer t it as frking (ruting t mre than ne destinatin). Indicate if the call shuld be ruted t anther entity (such as Vicemail, external number) if the call is nt answered after a certain delay f yur chice. Mark if this rule shuld apply during Day Time, Night Time, r bth. - Paging with an External Public Adress (PA) System Speaker: An OBi Phne may be cnnected t an external PA system via sme srt fl RJ11/RCA adapter. Yu will set that OBi phne prt t page mde and assign it an extensin (like anther regular user in the system). Yu can call that extensin t talk ver the PA system; a shrt beep-beep is played prir t playing yur vice fr each call. - Call Park and Pickup: Users may park a call by transferring the caller t the extensin 6XX where X is ne f the digits {0, 1,, 9, *}. Each explicit XX (such as 90) designates a particular parking lt slt, whereas a * in the XX (such as 0*) lets the system select the first available slt in that range (00 09) Users may pick up a call by calling the extensin 7XX. Using a * fr X lets the system pick the first call in that range. A parked caller may hear a sequence f audi clips f yur chice, accrding t the parking slt range she is in. The parked caller may als be ruted t anther OBiPLUS entity, such as Leaving Vicemail by pressing a specific digit f yur chice (e.g. 1). - Music On Hld (MOH): Callers at the far-end may hear a music clip r audi annuncement f yur chice when the call is placed n hld by ne f the users in the system. Each user may be cnfigured t use a different MOH surce. The Master OBi cmes with a 30 secnd music clip that may be used as MOH surce. Yu may als uplad yur wn music clip. - Day Time/Night Time Call Ruting: In OBiPLUS, yu may define yur ffice hurs (such as Mnday Friday, 9:00 am 5 pm). In additin, yu may define a number f hlidays as exceptins t the nrmal ffice hurs fr example: 1/1, 7/4 (US Independence Day). Any time during yur ffice hurs is knwn as Day Time; therwise as Night Time. Yu may define rules t handle incming calls differently during day time and night time. Tw Aut-Attendants are available: Day Time AA and Night Time AA The names Day Time AA and Night Time AA are nly fr reference; yu may elect t use ne r bth AAs fr Day Time r Night Time. Yu may uplad/recrd up t 20 audi prmpts n the Master OBi. A ttal duratin f 120 secnds t be played in any cmbinatins by the AA is available. - Multiple Vicemail Mailbxes: OBiPLUS des nt have a vicemail engine n its wn; OBiPLUS relies n the vicemail service bundled with yur Service Prvider s vice service. A vicemail service n a Service Ptvider s service cnstitutes an OBiPLUS mailbx. A user may be cnfigured t mnitr all r just sme f the mailbxes in the system. - Vicemail Message Waiting Indicatin (MWI): The attached OBi device phne indicates a new vicemail is waiting by a stutter dial tne and / r VMWI (Visual Message Waiting Indicatin). An IP Phne indicates a new vicemail waiting by turning n the MWI lamp n the phne. - IP Phne/Side Car Prgrammable Buttn Functins: Mnitr Day/Night Mde The buttn is slid green during day time, slid red during night time. Press the buttn nce t switch Day/Night mde (and turn ff aut day/night mde switching based n ffice hurs). Mnitr Aut Day/Night Mde State The buttn is slid green if aut-daynight-mde is n; slid red therwise. Press the buttn nce t enable autday-night-mde Mnitr vicemail n a mailbx The buttn is slid green if n new vicemail waiting in that mailbx; slid red therwise. Press the the buttn nce t check vicemail in that mailbx. Mnitr a call park partitin The buttn is slid green if n calls are parked in that partitin; slid red if calls are parked in that partitin. The user may press the buttn t pickup a parked call frm that partitin. BLF (Busy Lamp Field) The allws the user t mnitr if anther user is n the phne (ne buttn mnitrs ne user extensin): The buttn is slid green if user is nt n the phne. Press the buttn nce t call that user s extensin. The buttn is slid red if the user is n a call r trying t make a call. Press buttn nce t call that user s extensin. The buttn will blink red if the extensin is ringing. Press the buttn nce t rute that incming call t yur phne. If successful, yu will hear a beep-beep cnfirmatin and then yur phne will ring. This peratin is transparent t the caller n the far end. Speed Dial and One-Tuch Call Transfer The buttn is slid green if a speed dial number is cnfigured. All f the abve functins can be easily enabled using the OBiPLUS Cnfiguratin Wizard. - Grup Extensins: Yu may assign an extensin t a grup f users. OBiPLUS Tutrial System Features - Uplad r recrd audi prmpts fr the Aut Attendant (AA) and Music n Hld (MOH): All audi prmpts fr the AA and MOH must be stred n the Master OBi By default OBi202 nly cmes with the fllwing prmpts: Music a 30s music clip fr MOH. The phrase, Thank Yu fr Yur Call. The phrase, Please enter extensin. Yu may uplad r recrd additinal prmpts n the Master OBi. Up t 20 prmpts with a ttal duratin f 122 secnds may be upladed r recrded. Each individual prmpt is limited t 60 secnds. - Call Histry Call Detail Recrding (CDR): The Call Histry n the Master OBi keeps a lg f the last 400 calls. It can be viewed n a web brwser, r dwnladed as an XML file. - Call Status Mnitring The Call Status device web page n the Master OBi shws all the n-ging calls currently in the system. Yu have the ptin t terminate any call shwn n this page. - OBiPLUS Status Mnitring The OBiPLUS Status device web page n the Master OBi shws the n/ff line status f all client devices, as well as status f the parking lt. Yu have the ptin t terminate a parked call shwn n this page, r send the call t ring anther extensin r external number r t leave vicemail. - Hme/Branch Office Supprt A user can use OBiPLUS while he is away frm the Main Office. An OBi Phne can be relcated t a branch ffice transparently n special actin required. Relcating an IP Phne t a branch ffice requires installing an OBi202 device at the branch ffice as well, t act as the prxy fr the IP Phne t be able t access OBiPLUS services. OBiPLUS Tutrial Administrative Features - Remte prvisining with the OBiTALK.cm web prtal: All devices in an OBiPLUS system can be remtely prvisined by using OBiTALK.cm. Yu may use the OBiPLUS cnfiguratin wizard t generate cnfiguratin prfiles fr each device. The affected devices rebt autmatically t dwnlad the mdified cnfiguratin prfiles frm OBiTALK.cm. IP Phnes lcated at the Main Office will attempt t dwnlad their cnfiguratin prfiles frm the Master OBi n each bt-up. IP Phnes lcated at a branch ffice will attempt t dwnlad their cnfiguratin prfiles frm the crrespnding OBi202 device acting as thier prxy. - IP Phne Btstrap Yu may bring up a new IP phne at the Main Office quickly by installing it n the LAN side f the Master OBi. Afterwards, yu may mve it t cnnect thru the WAN side f the Master OBi. Yu may bring up a new IP phne at a Branch Office quickly by installing it n the LAN side f the Prxy OBi202. Yu may want t factry reset the IP Phne if it has been previusly cnfigured. The phne s built-in GUI has a setup ptin t revert the phne back t factry default state (i.e., all previus cnfiguratin erased). - Autmatic Device Firmware Upgrade The OBiTALK.cm prtal can remtely upgrade the firmware n all the devices in yur OBiPLUS system when new firmware becmes available frm Obihai Technlgy. Caller presses 1 t ring the Sales Grup. - All the Sales Grup extensins ring. - One f the Sales Grup member, extensin 101, answers. - After talking fr a while, call is parked in the Custmer Service partitin. - All Custmer Service extensins receive a call park ntificatin: A distinctive intermittent shrt ring n OBi Phnes and a red blinking functin buttn n IP phnes is bserved. - Finally, a custmer service member n extensin 104 picks up the call frm the parking lt. 2. An External Caller Calls the Main Number During the Night Time - All extensins ring fr 20s. The call is then ruted t ring the Night Time AA. - The Night Time AA answers immediately. - The AA plays a message regarding regular ffice hurs. - The AA redirects the call t leave vice mail in the Main mail bx. - Caller leaves a vice mail in the Main mailbx - MWI lamps n IP phnes light up in red. OBi device cnnected analg phnes play stutter dial tne, indicating a waiting unheard message. 3. Re-rute An External Call t My Phne - Extensin 101 has a BLF buttn X mnitring extensin 104. - An external caller frm 202-113-4456 rings extensin 104. - BLF buttn X n extensin 101 blinks red. - User presses BLF buttn X n extensin 101, and hears a beep beep cnfirmatin tne. - Extensin 104 stps ringing. - Extensin 101 starts ringing, with Caller ID shwing the call is frm 202-113-4456. - Finally, user answers the call frm extensin 101. 4. An External Caller Calls An Extensin via AA - External caller calls Main Number. Day Time AA answers after ne ring. - The AA plays its annuncement. The Caller enters 100. OBiPLUS Tutrial Device Setup All OBi devices t be used with yur OBiPLUS system must be added t yur OBiTALK accunt at www.bitalk.cm. Yu may cnsider naming the devices s they can be easily recgnized n the OBiTALK dashbard. At least ne f the devices must be an OBi202 designated as the Master OBi f the OBiPLUS system. The OBiPLUS cnfiguratin wizard lets yu easily chse an OBi202 device as the Master OBi by selecting it frm a drp dwn list f eligible candidates. Preparing the Master OBi Each OBiPLUS system must have ne and nly ne OBi202 device appinted as the Master OBi. The tw built-in phne prts n the Master OBi may be used as tw f the OBiPLUS system phnes. These built-in phne prts are useful fr fax machines, crdless phne base statins and fr cnnectins t alarm panels r verhead paging systems. Subscriptin t an OBiPLUS License Befre yu can use OBiPLUS, yu must subscribe t OBiPLUS at www.bitalk.cm and select the type f subscriptin yu will use Basic r Premium. There are tw (2) types f subscriptins: - OBiPLUS Basic Subscriptin Cst: $0 (Free) Supprt fr 2 OBi Phnes n the Master plus up t tw (2) mre OBi device cnnected phnes r IP Phnes. N branch ffice supprt. N individual mailbx mnitring. - OBiPLUS Premium Subscriptin Cst: $300/year Supprt fr 2 OBi Phnes n the Master plus up t ten (10) mre OBi device cnnected phnes r IP Phnes. Supprt fr all available features. Nte that the OBiPLUS cnfiguratin wizard will becme available t yu n OBiTALK.cm nly after yu have subscribed t an OBiPLUS service. Cnfiguring Vice Services (SP1 SP4) The vice/vicemail services used by all OBiPLUS users must be cnfigured n the Master OBi. There are 4 SP services n each Master OBi that can be used: SP1 SP4. Each service has a different external number. They can be with the same service prvider r different service prviders. The OBiTALK prtal has tls available t help yu add SP services n the Master OBi. SP set-up is best cmpleted via the OBiTALK prtal but is dne separatly frm the OBiPLUS cnfiguratin wizard. OBiPLUS Tutrial Uplading r Recrding Audi Prmpts The AA and Parking Lt functins require custmized audi prmpts. All audi prmpts must be stred n the Master OBi. There are three ways t get the prmpts int the OBi: 1. Recrd each prmpt using the device IVR menu 0 (frm a phne cnnected t a Master OBi PHONE prt, dial * * * 0), select ptin 1001# thrugh 1020#, and fllw the IVR annuncment instructins. 2. Uplad an audi file t the OBi frm the device web page under Vice Services/Aut Attendants, by clicking the crrespnding UserXDescriptin parameter, fr X = 1,, 20. The supprted file frmats are:.au r.wav files, 16-bit linear PCM r ulaw r alaw encded, mn r stere, at 8/11.025/16/22.05/32/44.1/48 khz sample rates. 3. Uplad a cmplete set f prmpts stred in a single file that is created by backing up all the user prmpts frm anther OBi device. This backup file will als include the descriptin strings fr each user prmpt. Yu perfrm this peratin frm the device web page as if yu are updating the firmware. The device can tell that yu are just updating the user prmpts frm the cntents f the file yu are uplading t the device. Netwrk Cnfiguratin: WAN Side r LAN Side As it can functin as a ruter, the Master OBi has a LAN prt and a WAN prt. Yu may install the client devices (either OBi phne adapters r IP Phnes) n the LAN side r n the WAN side f the Master OBi. It is recmmended that all the IP Phnes are installed n the LAN side t simplify netwrk management. Hwever, if yu must install ne r mre IP Phnes n the WAN side, yu shuld assign a static IP address t the WAN interface f the Master OBi. The same IP address must be cnfigured nt each WAN side IP Phne as the value fr the NON-DHCCP DNS 1 parameter. Nte that yu can avid this manual step if yu fully bring up the IP phne n the LAN side first befre taking the phne t the WAN side. This way, the phne has a chance t learn the WAN side IP address f the Master OBi withut yu having t explicitly cnfigure it. Client OBi Devices OBiPLUS client OBi devices may be prvisined by OBiTALK.cm t wrk with OBiPLUS the same way whether they are at the Branch Office r at the Main Office, LAN side r WAN side f the Master OBi. Once yu have updated yur OBiPLUS cnfiguratin using the setup wizard and generated new cnfiguratin prfiles, the affected OBi devices will rebt and autmatically dwnlad the updated prfile frm OBiTALK.cm. IP Phnes At the Main Office If the IP Phne is at the main ffice, it may be installed n the WAN side r n the LAN side f the Master OBi. It is easier t bring up the phne n the LAN side. T cmplete this step, yu will enter the fllwing infrmatin fr each IP phne that yu plan t use: Phne Name: A name t uniquely identify the phne in the prject, such as Jhn's Phne MAC Address: The MAC Address f the phne (usually printed n the back f the phne). This ptin will nt be shwn if an IP phne device is selected fr the user. User: User's name, such as, Jhn, Alice, Bb. The user s name must be unique amng all the users. Ext.: The 3-digit extensin fr the user. It must be in the range 100-199 and must be unique amng all the users. Use fr Paging: Indicate if this extensin is fr paging nly. Fr example, yu may want incming calls t ring just the Sales team during day time ffice hurs, and then ring the entire staff during night time (after hurs). With the Sales and All grups defined, yu can simply indicate the grup name in the prject cnfiguratin instead f spelling ut individual users t ring in each case. OBiPLUS Tutrial In sme parts f the OBiPLUS wizard, there is a need t distinguish between a grup name and a user name, e.g., in a ringlist definitin. The cnventin is t append a ".grup" suffix t the name t indicate that it is referring t a grup instead f a user. Fr example: All.grup, Sales.grup and Custmer Supprt.grup. Step 4: Trunks and Vicemail A trunk refers t a vice service n the Master OBi. The OBiPLUS vicemail feature relies n the vicemail services bundled with yur trunks. Each trunk that includes vicemail service cnstitutes a mailbx in OBiPLUS. In this step yu will need t prvide sme basic infrmatin abut the trunks (vice services) yu want t use fr OBiPLUS and whether vicemail service is available fr each trunk. Yu must nt enter the same trunk mre than nce. Yu may specify the fllwing attributes fr each trunk: Trunk: The standard name f the vice service n the Master OBi: SP1 SP4. DID Number: The DID number f the trunk, such as 4088906000. Has Vicemail: Indicate if this service cmes with vicemail. Calling Trunk fr Leaving VM: Indicate anther trunk t use t call the current trunk s DID number t leave vicemail. This must be different frm the current trunk. Nte that the abve implies that yu must have a least 2 trunks cnfigured n yur Master OBi t use the vicemail feature effectively. Based n the infrmatin yu enter, the wizard will generate a set f vicemail settings in the prject t let yu: - Check vicemail by calling internal extensin 500 fr the first mailbx, 501 fr the secnd, etc. - Leave vicemail by calling internal extensin 400 fr the first mailbx, 401 fr the secnd, etc. The wizard des this assuming that ne wuld call the DID number f a trunk frm the same trunk t check vicemail. If yur ITSP requires that yu call a different special number t check vicemail, yu must pen the prject later t mdify the check vicemail external number fr that trunk. Up t 12 rules may be defined here. If yu have multiple trunks that can be used fr making calls t similar number patterns, yu can grup thse trunks int a Trunk Grup (such as TG1) n the Master OBi. Yu may then specify a rule t use that trunk grup fr utging calls t thse number patterns. Yu must specify a dial prefix (8 r 9) in each rule that the user must dial fr making calls n that trunk. The dial prefix is nt part f the target phne number sent t the service prvider terminating the call. It will be stripped by the Master OBi when setting up the call with the service prvider. Fr example:??test User indicates Test User is an undefined user,??sale.grup indicates Sales is an undefined grup, etc. These errrs may emerge if yu have remved a user r grup after it has been used elsewhere in the prject. The wizard will nt remve thse invalid ptins autmatically, but rather indicate thse errrs s yu can crrect them the way yu want by either redefining the missing user r grup, r remving all references t the undefined user r grup everywhere in the prject. When yu run "Generate Cnfig Files", the wizard will als list these errrs as WARNINGS but will prceed by ignring thse undefined entities. Each eligible device is represented by its Device Display Name fllwed by its OBi Number in parenthesis, such as My OBi (500123456) r (500334455); the device display name may be empty if nne has been assigned t that device n yur OBiTALK accunt dashbard. The device that is currently selected as the Master OBi will be marked with an * befre its OBi Name (Obi Number) (such as *My OBi(500123456) r *(500334455)) thrughut the prject. If yu d nt see an OBi that is marked as such in the Chse Master OBi Device drp dwn list, yu have nt chsen the Master OBi yet. Yu must crrect this prblem by either adding the device back t yur accunt, r select anther OBi202 device as the Master OBi. Mst Internet Telephny Service Prviders (ITSP) bundle vicemail with their standard vice services. A typical ITSP prvided vicemail service (including Ggle Vice) has the fllwing characteristics: Checks vicemail by calling frm the service accunt t a special number. Typically this special number is the same as the DID number fr that accunt itself. But it can als be any number that the ITSP chses such as *79. Frwards incming calls t vicemail when nt answered after a specific number f rings. Smetimes, the call is said t rllver t vicemail. This is a majr weakness ITSP prvided vicemail services. Fr example, there is n easy way fr a call t be sent t vicemail after it has been answered by the OBiPLUS Aut Attendant. OBiPLUS circumvents this prblem by bridging the riginal call with a nw utging call int the ITSP vicemail system. This technique requires at least tw different vice services cnfigured n the Master OBi. With OBiPLUS, a caller may be directed t leave vicemail in tw ways: Autmatic rllver t vicemail by the ITSP withut call being answered by anyne in the ffice. Bridged by OBiPLUS t leave vicemail via ne f yur SP service trunks after the call is answered by smene in the ffice. Either way, OBiPLUS sends users vice mail ntificatins as lng as there are new vicemail messages in any f the ITSP vicemail bxes. Each SP vicemail service is viewed as a mailbx in OBiPLUS. The wizard helps yu t define an internal extensin t check vicemail fr each mailbx, and anther extensin t leave vicemail. When yu call an extensin t leave vicemail, yu can then transfer anther caller t this call, essentially bridging the caller t the vicemail service t leave vicemail in the mailbx that yu just invked. A maximum f fur mailbxes can be defined in OBiPLUS; ne fr each SP service n the Master OBi. Fr each mailbx yu specify the fllwing attributes: Mailbx Name: The mailbx name can be smething like Main r Sales fr referencing that mailbx thrughut the prject. The name must be different fr each mailbx in the prject. Mailbx ID: A 2-digit ID fr referencing this mailbx, such as 00, 01, 02, The Mailbx ID must be different fr each mailbx in the prject. SP Service and Check Vice Mail Number: The SP service ffering the vicemail service, and the external number t call (using that SP service) t check vicemail in this mailbx. There shuld be nly ne mailbx defined fr each SP Service. Fr mst ITSPs this is the DID number fr the same SP accunt, but culd be sme ther special number, such as *79. OBiPLUS Prject Editing Page Tpic: Office Hurs Tpic: Recrded Prmpts Yu may stre up t 20 user audi prmpts n yur Master OBi. They are referred t as User1,... User20 prmpt n the OBi. The ttal strage fr all prmpts is abut 120 secnds, with each prmpt limited t 60 secnds. These prmpts can be used, in different cmbinatins, by the Aut Attendants, the parking lt and fr Music-n-hld. A prmpt can be a music r speech clip. There are three ways t get the prmpts int the OBi: 1. Recrd each prmpt using the device IVR menu 0 (frm the Master OBi PHONE, dial * * * 0), select ptin 1001# thrugh 1020#, and fllw the IVR instructins. 2. This backup file will als include the descriptin strings fr each user prmpt. Yu perfrm this peratin frm the device web page as if yu are updating the firmware; the device can tell that yu are just updating the user prmpts frm the cntents f the file yu are uplading t the device. Under this tpic yu can assign a name (up t 32 characters) and a shrt descriptin (up t 128 characters) fr each user prmpt. Make sure these values match the nes as stred n yur Master OBi device. T make it easier t use the prmpts t frm prmpt lists fr yur AA and Parking Lt, yu shuld give it a descriptive name s yu can easily tell what the cntents f the prmpts are. Fr example, yu might recrd the phrase "Yur call is imprtant t us. Please stay n the line and we will answer yur call shrtly" in the User1 slt, and name the prmpt "Yur Call Is Imprtant". If the caller enters 2, it redirects the call t ring the Supprt grup, etc. There are tw AAs n the Master OBi, knwn as AA3 and AA4, that may be enabled fr use with OBiPLUS. By cnventin, AA3 is used fr Day Time and AA4 fr Night Time. In the wizard, we als refer t AA3 as the Day Time AA and AA4 as the Night Time AA. Hwever, it is ttally valid t use either r bth fr Day Time and/r Night Time. An AA can be lked at as anther user n the system, with its wn extensin and user name. In sme parts f the OBiPLUS wizard, it is necessary t distinguish between a user name and an AA name (e.g., in a ringlist definitin). The cnventin is t append a ".aa" suffix t the AA name, such as "Day Time.aa" and "Night Time.aa", t indicate a name that refers t an AA. The OBiPLUS wizard has 4 basic parameters that gvern the behavir f an AA: Bttm f Frm Enable - Enable the AA fr use with OBiPLUS. Answer After - Let it ring fr this many millisecnds befre the AA answers. Extensin - An internal extensin assigned t the AA. Yu can call this extensin t ring the AA. N-Input Number - A user, grup, r mailbx t ring if the caller des nt enter a valid input by the end f playing the Menu prmpt list. T effectively use the AA, yu shuld custmize the AA prmpt lists. A prmpt list is a list made up f individual system r user prvided prmpts. A prmpt is shrt music r speech clip. All prmpts are stred n the Master OBi. Yu can define cmplex prmpt lists based n a small number f basic prmpts. Bth AA3 and AA4 currently supprt tw custmizable prmpt lists: Welcme - A welcme message that is played just nce upn answering Menu - This is played immediately after the Welcme prmpt, and is repeated nce after a pause f 5 secnds. The default Welcme prmpt list is "Thank yu fr yur call," and the default Menu prmpt list is "Please enter extensin." While the prmpts are being played by the AA, yu nrmally wuld let the user select an ptin frm a menu in rder t reach a particular user r grups r users. Yu wuld als annunce the available ptins in the Menu prmpt list, such as "Please enter the 3-digit extensin f the party yu d like t reach. Fr Sales press 1. Fr Custmer Supprt press 2..." Fr the Master OBi t carry ut such a menu, it requires yu t define a Ringlist Table, where each rw is a rule that crrespnds t a menu item. When yu park a call, yu are referred t as the parker f the call. The caller at the ther end, the parkee, may hear a cmbinatin f music segments r annuncements f yur chice. While parked, the parkee may be ffered a few ptins t redirect the call, such as "Enter 0 t g back t the main menu," r "Enter 9 t leave a vicemail," etc. T implement this behavir requires yu define a Ringlist Table the same way yu wuld fr an AA. OBiPLUS Tutrial There is a single parking lt per OBiPLUS prject. The parking lt has 100 slts t hld parked calls. A slt is identified with a Slt ID that ranges frm 00 t 99. Having 100 slts des nt mean that yu can park 100 calls simultaneusly. The purpse is t partitin the parking space mre effectively t serve different grups in the ffice. Fr example 50-59 may be reserved fr Sales, 60-69 fr Custmer Supprt, etc. Each partitin is defined by a partitining mask, which wuld be 5* and 6* respectively fr the last tw examples. Here yu can define a number f partitins and give each partitin a descriptive name by which the partitin can be referenced. Each partitin can als use a different prmpt list. Nte that ** represents the entire parking lt. The All partitin with the mask ** is autmatically created when yu start a new prject. It uses the Main prmpt list which cntains just a system prvided music clip. When yu define a partitin, yu must prvide a name fr the partitin that is different frm ther partitins already defined in the system. Yu must als prvide a mask t define the partitin. Fr example, fr the range 50-59, yu enter 5* fr the mask. Use ** as the mask if yu want t include all parking slts in the partitin. Yu must select which prmpt list t play when calls are parked in that partitin. Each partitin may use a different prmpt list, but all partitins have t use the same Ringlist Table. Hence the menu ptins ffered by different prmpt lists must nt verlap. Yu can define 9 prmpt lists fr the parking lt. The prmpt lists are numbered 1 t 9. Yu must give the prmpt list a name that is unique amng all the prmpt lists in rder t use it in a parking lt partitin. A prmpt list is made up f individual prmpts. There are a few system prmpts and up t 20 user prvided prmpts stred in the Master OBi. Yu can mix these prmpts in any cmbinatins t frm cmplex prmpt lists. Yu can als specify t disallw calls t be picked up if they are parked in partitins that are playing this prmpt list, by checking the N Pickup ptin. This ptin is useful when the call is parked fr MOH r fr the caller t listen t a special annuncement, such as "Tday's Specials" "Directins t Our Stre", "Our Office Hurs", etc. In that latter case yu shuld als specify an entity t call after the prmpts in the list are cycled thrugh nce s the parked caller can be handled prperly (fr example, call the AA when the prmpt list is dne). OBiPLUS Tutrial Tpic: Prxies OBiPLUS Prject Editing Page Tpic: Outbund Trunks A Prxy is required if yu want t use an IP Phne in a branch ffice. Only an OBi202 device may be used as Prxy fr IP Phnes. Each OBi202 may prxy fr up t 4 IP Phnes. Each IP Phne Prxy will take up ne SP Service n the OBi202. The IP Phne MUST be installed n the LAN side f the OBi202 device prxying fr the IP phne. The wizard will cnfigure the SP Service n the OBi202 with the same OBiPLUS user accunt fr which it is prxying, as well as enabling the prxy mde n that SP service. While yu are defining an SP Service fr prxying an IP phne, yu must tell the wizard fr which user/extensin the SP service is prxy. The wizard will nt allw yu t define prxies fr the same user/extensin n mre than ne SP service n the same OBi202 device. SPn Prxy Fr: Select the user/extensin frm a drp dwn list that SPn n this OBi shuld prxy fr, where n = 1, 2, 3, r 4. If SPn is already used t supprt an OBi Phne n this device, this ptin will nt appear n the web page. Since each SP n the same OBi device must prxy fr a different user/extensin, the drp dwn list will limit the chices t make sure this is the case. Leave this value blank if yu d want t use SPn service fr prxying IP Phne. OBi ITSP Prfile: The ITSP Prfile n the selected OBi device t apply t this cnfiguratin t supprt the prxying functin. Nte that all SP prxies n the same OBi will use the same ITSP prfile. In fact, if there are ther SP services used fr OBi phnes n the same OBi, they t shuld use the same ITSP prfile.
