at Charlotte Lab School 2015-2016 School Year Hola! We are honored to bring our program to Charlotte Lab School! We are Ricardo Mata and Carmela Tondo-Mata, originally from Venezuela, and the founders of PlaySpanish. We started the program in January 1997 with the goal of making Spanish fun for the kids. We accomplish this goal through games, music, dances, arts and crafts, magic tricks, puppets and a variety of age-appropriate activities that engage the children's imagination and attention. Since 1998, PlaySpanish has partnered with a few, selected CMS schools to fill the existing gap in foreign language education at the Elementary level. These schools include, among others, Eastover, Elizabeth Lane, Sharon and Selwyn Elementary where we have offered the program since 1998. Now, we are honored to welcome you, the Charlotte Lab community, to our family! Following the idea of Reimagining School, PlaySpanish at Charlotte Lab will be offered on Wednesday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:30 pm Instead of the usual hour of instruction, children will receive an hour and a half! The program is open to all students from Kindergarten through 4th grade. There will be 1 group of 8 students in grades K through 2nd and another group with 8 students between 3rd and 4th grade. In other words, enrollment is limited to a total of 16 students! Tuition for the entire school year is $500 per student and $450 for each additional siblings. Tuition is payable half at registration and half by October 31. Classes start on September 16th and end on May 11th 2016. Each student will receive a PlaySpanish folder with vocabulary sheets and 2 Progress Reports --one in December and another one in May. Are you ready to register? Please fill out the form below and mail it with your payment to: PlaySpanish 8722 Lorraine Dr. Charlotte, NC 28270.
