Enrollment in classes that are in high demand will be based on the date the student s application and deposit is received. *Included in the mail out is a student release and emergency information form that must be completed and returned on or before the first day of Arkansas Teen College. 3 Course Descriptions Dance Your Way to Broadway! Beginners welcome!! From Disco Dancing all the way to the Big White Way. You will get those hips a movin and your toes a tappin. We will focus on dance moves from all genres. It will be a great way to learn how to dance and an even better way to have FUN!!!! Acting for Camera and Stage Learn the basics of acting. The actor has three primary tools: voice, body and mind. Learn what the pros know, how to articulate, project, move on stage, build a character and much more! If you have ever wondered if acting is for you, then take this course!! The Voice: Sing Your Way to Broadway! Do you like to sing on stage? This will teach you how to use your voice and body to project and move while singing on stage. You may sing your way to Broadway someday! Film/Television and Cinematography Students learn how to express their own ideas using images, sounds, and editing. The program will allow all individuals to have an engaging hands-on experience developing an original short film, learning the basics of camera, lighting, and sound equipment, shooting and editing their story and screening the finished piece to see their results. Art Attack Explore your creativity through art making while learning from an assortment of college instructors and professional artists. This two-week session will cover a wide variety of techniques including (but not limited to) drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and photography. Video Game Design Design and build your own video games! Learn the basic coding behind games and create your own characters, scenarios, and environments. The world of independent game design is exciting and growing. Make your own video games and share them with the world! Digital Photography Interested in learning how to take great photographs? This introductory course to digital photography will teach you how to effectively compose images in camera using the elements of art and principles of design. Lead the Pack Learn how to start your own movement. Individuals have hands-on experience using a variety of games and persuasive skills to lead the pack and start a movement. Team Work Dynamics of Teams Teams manage arguments and communicate with others. Hands-on experience taking over classes, projects, and working through a dark maze set with traps and a toxic waste dump activity. The Art of Creative Writing Do you like to day dream and then write everything down? Do you like to Journal daily? Do you desire to be published? Well turn those writings into a short story, a book, or a play! This class will help you bring all that together and learn the Art of Creative Writing. Raspberry Pi Programing This is an exciting introduction to computing and programming utilizing Raspberry PI devices. This is an exciting opportunity to give students an insight into the capabilities of the Raspberry Pi, offer a broader understanding of the science behind the technology and how it can be applied in the real world. Activities: Pi out of the box; Basic Programing; Advanced Minecraft; Other hands on projects

Responsibility for individual conduct, however, must ultimately lie with the student. Each student must behave in an appropriate manner during ATC. Each student will be given a copy of the Rules of Conduct before ATC begins and is expected to abide by them. Infraction of the rules will result in immediate dismissal from ATC without refund of fees. The parent or legal guardian is responsible for the student s transportation from ATC should the student be dismissed. Of which may result from causes beyond the control of, without the fault of, or negligence of the Arkansas Teen College, its officers, agents, or employees, during ATC. 5 Arkansas Teen College Scholarship Application Central Arkansas Premier Summer Enrichment Program Middle School thru High School Students Limited partial scholarships are available to students. Financial Statements (Please submit a copy of Page 1 of your 2014 Federal Tax Return) are required. Scholarships are limited to one per family. Please complete and return this form to Arkansas Teen College, Pulaski Technical College, 3000 West Scenic Drive, North Little Rock, Arkansas, Or cnesmith@pulaskitech.edu or Fax: Your application must be received by June 5, 2015, application and payment deadline. $50 Deposit is required for all applicants. (nonrefundable) Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need as determined by household income after the $50.00 deposit has been accepted. Proof of income must be included. 6 Arkansas Teen College CODE OF CONDUCT Failure to obey any of these rules or behaving in a manner not mentioned here but found unacceptable by any ATC faculty or staff member could result in a student being asked to leave ATC with out refund of fees. Should a student be asked to leave because of behavioral reasons, it is the responsibility of the parent to pick the student up immediately. 1. Be respectful of other students and ATC staff. 2. Do not use vulgar or offensive language. 3. Possession of tobacco products, alcohol, and/or illegal narcotics is prohibited. 4. Be on time to all classes. 5. No bikes or skateboards. 6. Turn off (or at lease silence) and put away cell phones during class. 7. While there is no specific dress code, students should dress appropriately. 8. Do not interrupt other classes, including PTC summer classes. 9. Keep the noise level low while in the halls. 10. Follow all any additional rules your individual class instructor may have. 11. Have fun! Drop-Off, Pick-Up & Parking Info Drop-off/Pick-up Students should be dropped off and picked up in front of the A building: Administration Building (see PTC map). Students should be dropped off no earlier than 7:30 a.m. or 12:30 a.m. and picked up no later than 12:15 p.m. or 5:15 p.m. A $5 per 15 minute late fee per child will be charged for any students not picked up by 5:15 p.m. No exceptions! ATC employees will supervise students between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. ATC is not responsible for any ATC student on campus outside these hours. Parking A parking permit is available upon request. Students who drive to campus or parents who park on campus should place the permit in the front windshield of their car whenever parked on campus. Parking designated faculty/staff and reserved spots is prohibited by ATC student, and anyone who parks in restricted spot may be ticketed by campus police.
