Manager HR Systems and Analytics Human Resources Group, Shared Services Branch The Manager HR Systems and Analytics is responsible for managing all HR systems including the development and the implementation of system strategies and the day to day management and maintenance of systems and data. A key focus of the role is on how best to integrate and leverage HR systems to drive increased selfservice capability. The role is also responsible for maximising the use of people data, providing analytics and insights to both inform the development of workforce strategies and plans, and to measure organisational performance. Systems Development Provide thought leadership on the HR systems strategy to support the delivery of the departments workforce strategy Develop systems strategy together with TSS for the long term utilisation of DIA s various HR systems taking into consideration all of government developments in HR systems capability and DIA s long term requirements for data capture, self-service, reporting and analysis Manage implementation of initiatives and programmes focused on maximising the use of current systems in delivering increased access to selfservice and supporting HR service delivery Develop automation to create efficiencies, such as online activities and use of technology within HR Data Analytics Manage implementation of initiatives and programmes focused on maximising the use of information and data within HR systems for enhanced data analysis, insights and decision making Improve the quality and accessibility of HR information to meet the needs of the business Develops and maintains reporting frameworks for delivering data and information to inform development of workforce strategies, organisational performance reporting and insights to ELT and providing management reports to support the business to deliver on workforce strategies Collaborates with subject matter experts across HR, Finance, Strategy and Governance to promote data governance and stewardship, and to improve overall strategic and operational performance and insight. Supports the Human Resource leadership team to identify business challenges and use data analysis to help influence changes to the operations, process or programs HR systems are designed to meet business needs now and into the future Efficiencies have been gained across the business due to automation of processes The Reporting framework provides meaningful data that assists the SLT across DIA with the development and the delivery of workforce strategies Page 2 of 5
People Leadership Lead all team members in a manner which creates a culture and environment that are customer focused, proactive and consistent with the values of the Department, inspiring staff to deliver high level performance Provide coaching and feedback to team members Recruit, lead and manage the team in line with HR guidelines and the people leader profile of the DIA capability framework. Undertake regular DIA culture and engagement activities with the team. Member of HR Leadership team Works with the Director HR and HR management team to develop and drive DIA s 4 year people plan Contributes to the development of HR strategic objectives, priorities and business plan Provides Thought leadership Works together with the HR Leadership team to maintain oversight of key risk areas within the HR group to ensure they are appropriately mitigated Participates as a member of the HR Leadership team taking a whole of HR view and providing leadership to the wider HR Group. Stakeholder and Relationship Management Develop strong working relationships with other shared services partners and managers to ensure a coherent and joined up approach to the delivery of shared services Develops a thorough understanding of strategic objectives and plans for the Shared Services Branch in order to ensure their approach and advice is aligned and consistent with other shared service partners. Builds relationships with customers to understand the business context in which workforce strategies and plans are developed. Builds relationships with external service providers, to ensure an efficient use of resources to assist with developing and implementing system strategies.
