Assist the Finance Manager to develop the College s Finance services. 2. Assist the Finance Manager to develop and implement effective Finance policies and procedures. 3. Ensure all orders and invoices are properly authorised and coded. 4. Ensure all suppliers are paid as per the College policy. 5. Ensure accuracy of Finance system purchase ledger to avoid negative impact from suppliers. KEY ROLES 1. Ensure a high quality, customer focused Finance service is consistently provided. 2. Supervise Finance Assistants and guide, motivate, develop and appraise to ensure optimum performance and professional development. 3. Allocate and monitor workload of purchase ledger staff 4. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the finance system purchase ledger by regularly analysing reports 5. Ensure all supplier enquiries are dealt with quickly and accurately 6. Ensure invoices are processed timeously by budget holders. 7. Ensure all orders and invoices are fully authorised and accurately processed. 8. Check and approve purchase invoices batches and post in finance system. 9. Ensure all suppliers are paid timeously. 10. Check supplier statements to ensure all payments have been processed. 11. Assist in the development and monitoring of key performance indicators and related benchmarking data. 12. Assist in the development/updating of policies and procedures in line with changes in legislation and best practice.
13. Undertake delegated duties on behalf of the Finance Manager. GENERAL 1. Implement and promote College policies, particularly those relating to safeguarding and equality & diversity in all aspects of College operations. 2. Implement Health and Safety and security measures in accordance with statutory and College requirements. 3. Be a role model supporting College values and corporate management. 4.
