2 The Postgraduate Course in Breast & Endocrine MARINES MEMORIAL CLUB AND HOTEL SAN FRANCISCO, CA Presented by the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, this clinically-oriented course brings the practicing surgeon up-to-date on the latest developments in Breast and Endocrine with an intensive overview of problems encountered in daily practice and is of substantial value in preparation for board and recertification examinations. This year s program emphasis is on common surgical diseases and techniques, with a focus on the avoidance of surgical complications, breast diseases and endocrine surgery. WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS COURSE? This symposium is designed for general surgeons, endocrine surgeons, and other surgeons and allied health professionals who participate in the surgical management of breast and endocrine conditions. OBJECTIVES Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to: Know when and how to integrate molecular markers and imaging into the diagnosis and personalize the management of mammographic abnormalities, atypical lesions, breast cancer thyroid nodules, hyperparathyroid disease, adrenal tumors, and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors; Understand the emerging issues on the overuse and appropriate use of antibiotics.
