1 BECOME A CERTIFIED USFGA FOOTGOLF COURSE! FOOTGOLF COURSE LAYOUT, RATING, MARKETING & COMMUNICATION
2 USFGA Designs We enjoy designing new and renovated golf courses that are unique and fun to play FootGolf. Our design work stresses the ingenuity and strategy of the game, course playability, and site stewardship. Since the USFGA first opened its doors, FootGolf course design was its first challenge. The USFGA name has been synonymous with first class service and superior results. Our personal involvement during every stage of a project ensures our courses goals are met and our team's creative vision is achieved. At USFGA, we design FootGolf Courses that serve and support their local communities by attracting new audience and demographics, while generating new revenue streams, jobs, and fun. With a philosophy of working closely with courses, enhancing the natural environment of the course, and creating FootGolf courses that are both challenging and enjoyable for players of all levels, the USFGA has designed over 50 courses across the nation including The Legends Golf, managed by Mr. Ted Bishop, President #38 for the PGA of America. USFGA Marketing and Communications Support The USFGA Marketing and Communication division is available to assist its sanctioned State Associations & curses with a variety of services and resources that will help promote, market and raise the overall awareness of their project. The Marketing and Communications staff will help integrate these services into the courses' marketing plan and will provide direction and contacts for any services that are not fulfilled in-house. With well over 15,000 page views per month, offers a known and trusted resource within the FootGolf community as the course works to grow their brand. In addition to features for the USFGA and State web page, we boast a highly trafficked FootGolf course section. This section offers website visitors the ability to search for courses open for play or under construction and also highlights FootGolf fees, discounts to members, open tee times, handicapping index, the option of becoming part of your FootGolf Club, and a calendar with upcoming events. Courses can also increase use of audio and video on the web today, which offer clients a great opportunity to expand the exposure of their project. From the time a contract is signed, USFGA courses can use the website to post contact information, press releases, designs, FootGolf photos, scorecards, renderings, and audio and video clips of important moments in the development of a project. Logos, Photography and Artwork Based on the level of design services contractually agreed upon, USFGA and States will provide clients the necessary trademarks and logos that can be utilized upon written approval for such needs as collateral material promoting the FootGolf course, advertising or direct mail pieces, apparel and headwear, scorecards and course signage, course plans or blueprints, and even food and beverage items like place mats, napkins and cups. In addition to logos, USFGA and State has approved photography available for various courses needs. As an added benefit to support the early efforts of a sales and marketing team,
3 USFGA and State provide photography of other USFGA Design courses that might represent the look, feel and level of quality of the course's future FootGolf course. Grand Openings and Events The Grand Opening and other media or marketing events can be the most memorable days in the history of any USFGA Designed FootGolf course. Whether it is a day with the design team opened to media, or a Grand Opening with members and VIP guests, USFGA and State will offer support throughout the coordination of these events. 4 USFGA Course Certification and Design Process Step 1: USFGA Equipment and Design Services The USFGA will request that each course complete, signs, and dates the last page in this packet by an authorized manager who will process payment for the selected services and equipment in order to move forward with the certification process. Step 2: Course Layout & Design Schedule your appointment with a USFGA Staff. We will bring the ultimate value to our courses by designing a top quality FootGolf course that will attract players of all ages and will challenge all levels of play. Our team will play the course several times experiencing different options in order to bring into play every difficulty that the course has to offer. USFGA will design your 9, 18, or 27 holes course in less than 1 week. Note: USFGA does not dig the holes in your course.
5 Step 3: Score-Cards & Maps Completion of a FootGolf scorecard and map of the course is required. The course can opt for the USFGA to assist in this task (see USFGA fee structure). The USFGA contracts with approved architectural services that will bring best value in the market. Once the scorecard and map are available, they need to be filed with the USFGA.
6 Step 4: Club House & Pro-Shop Set Up One of the courses main Welcome factors to FootGolfers is our courses Club House and Pro-Shops. It is a key element for a FootGolfer to walk in to your course for the first time, to see how the your location embraces the sport by offering FootGolf apparel and seeing banners. The USFGA team will assist our courses with the design of your Pro-Shop to assure a good impression to your new audience.
7 The following USFGA Service is for courses which opt not use the USFGA for its design services: Course Assessment & Approval In order to obtain a USFGA Course Certification, we must assess that the proper placing of holes, green targets, tees, distances, pars, level of difficulty, course playability for all levels, and other standards are in accordance with our specifications. Courses are welcome to layout the design of their FootGolf courses as they desire, however the USFGA MUST ASSESS the course once its design is complete in order to extend a USFGA Certification.
