2 A b o u t M. G. H u r s to n M.G.Hurston specializes in creating high end print and marketing collateral for individual, small and corporate businesses. Materials are generated using the latest in graphic software from Adobe and Quark on both Mac and PC platforms. The Principal, Michael G. Hurston Although originally from the west coast, Michael grew up in New York, eventually relocating back to the Bay Area, CA, where he spent three years doing freelance graphic design work for various industries. The projects included flyers, brochures and websites for restaurants, night clubs, technology distributors and video game companies. In 2001, Michael switched his client focus to residential and commercial real estate businesses exclusively until 2006, when Michael branched back out into additional fields. Currently, Michael provides creative direction for Luxury Residential, Commercial Real Estate and Publishing Markets, among many other side projects. With over a decade of experience in Design, Marketing & Advertising fields and with a broad diversity in his clients, Michael is able to utilize his knowledge to create the most appropriate and targeted collateral for clients in both print and web media. 5 Pricing Structure Due to the amount of variables within each project a no cost consultation is required before any job is considered. r Web Design While web related pieces are based on an hourly rate of $120 USD, many factors influence the cost of the creation. This makes for a very broad range of possibilities ranging from as low as $1,200 USD for a basic website consisting of a few pages to a more involved site featuring Flash, PHP/ASP, MySQL database, Forums, Submission Forms, etc and costing several thousands. It is always important to take a moment and write down what features you want available to you and your customers beforehand. r Print Design Marketing collateral created for print related projects are based on an hourly rate of $90 USD. A basic twopage, letter sized, double sided flyer may range from an hour to three hours of time when all the artwork is supplied and typically three to six hours when no artwork is suppled.when working on multiple projects for a single client a discount rate of 10% is applied. r Marketing Marketing projects are based on a daily rate of $480 USD and may include the writing and sending of Press Releases to relevant papers and news sites as well as distribution of targeted blasts. We can also plan out your marketing strategy to ensure maximum exposure for minimal cost.

6 Th i r d Pa r t y P r i c i n g In addition to all design projects any external pricing from third-parties will always be discussed prior to using their services. This includes, but is not limited to: print ad placement, web banner ads, photography, printing costs, mailing services, hosting and domain registration. All third party expenses are billed in advance. r Printing Full service design is included on each project and while you have the option to use your own facilities, a local cost comparison of printers is always provided after the source files have been delivered. Printing costs are in addition to design costs and may vary depending on your needs and location. r Web Hosting & Managing If you opt to have your web domain and/or hosting managed by M.G.Hurston there is a 20% management cost added to the base value of any hosting plan or registrar.
